The New York Times reports that “Call of Duty: Black Ops, the highly anticipated combat game scheduled to be released Nov. 9, will be in 3-D . . . Black Ops will deliver 3-D on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in addition to Windows PCs that use 3-D-capable video cards from Nvidia.” The rest of the Times’ blog takes the form of a breathless—and largely adjectiveless—account of the writer’s close encounter of the freebie kind with a 3-D COD demo. “When the demo was over I immediately felt as if I would be missing something important playing it, or any other game, in the old 2-D fashion.” Important? I think the word is “fun.” I could be wrong though . . .
