Apparently no other firearms blog picked up the fact that AAC bought a new domain name last night. I did, but that’s mainly because I was sitting in the room when Kevin Brittingham (AAC founder) gave the nod and Lynsey Thompson (Business Manager) pushed the button. So what’s the idea behind this “Farm?” Apparently it’s all about hunting. There’s a number of hunters at AAC, and they have been looking to expand into that market for some time. There’s not a whole lot of information available right now (mainly because it hasn’t even been written yet) but the idea seems to be to give hunters more modern implements to use, including silencers and the .300 AAC Blackout round. More information as it becomes available, but rest assured you’ll hear about it here first.

So what’s the deal with the name? “The Farm” seems kind of abstract for a brand name, but it turns out that it makes perfect sense to the guys here. Kevin owns a large chunk of land north of Atlanta where he has his own shooting range and hunts with his son, and the guys here call it “The Farm.” So when the time came to give a name to their hunting efforts “The Farm” was the first thing on the white boards.

  1. There’s good news and bad news. AAC took a wildcat and commercialized it. That’s good. The .300 AAC Blackout is available, and the price is reasonable. That’s very good. The AAC “silencer” works, and that’s great. They want to “get into” hunting, and that’s wonderful. I’d love to be able to shoot the subsonic round in an AR platform rifle with an AAC suppressor, but because of stupid laws passed by the pack of gerbils that run my country and state, that will happen in the reign of Queen Dick. That’s bad. 🙁

That will do me no good as silencers are illegal for use while hunting where I live.
Although I could use them varmint hunting.
