There’s just something awesome about using a slide rule and a computer with lights on it. Almost makes me want one of these old contraptions. Almost.

  1. Those 20″ slide rules demand a few $s on the collectors market. They were never common, even back then.

    They make LED clocks that display in “binary coded decimal”, which is the same way that chrono displayed time. I have one my desk.

  3. I used a slide rule in college. It replaced the abacus I used in high school. Which replaced the fingers I used in grade school. But I never, ever wore my pants directly under my armpits.
