Even if you were never a leatherneck, there’s a good chance you know the Rifleman’s Creed. Or at least part of it. You saw Full Metal Jacket, right? Our I Am a Gun Owner series showed — in no uncertain terms — that America’s gun owners aren’t, in fact, just the camo-clad backwoods OFWG caricatures the gun control industry likes to paint. Actually, we’re anything but.
So now, with a lot of the focus of civilian disarmament efforts aimed at “military-inspired weapons of war,” it should be instructive to see what The People of the Gun really look like along with their favorite rifle. An no, it doesn’t have to be an AR or AK. Or even black.

That’s my wife. She actually out shot me while we were shooting her new LCR last weekend. She put four out of five rounds in the 8,9 and 10 rings of the 50 ft. slow fire pistol target from 15 yards. Pretty good for a 1 5/8″ barrel on a double action revolver.

Ken James is a blithering idiot. How this clown was appointed a police chief is beyond me. Yes, I know that an appointment to a police chief is political and that they are just politicians wearing a government costume. What’s really scary is that these goons breed.

Stupid does hurt this guy. He can barely form a cogent sentence, that must hurt at least a little. He defines defensive use when he says the police have guns to perform their duties safely. The word defensive doesn’t mean what you think it means monkey! It must also hurt that they trot you out of your cage in that ridiculous uniform and force you to use spoken words when you are used to using grunts and throwing feces.
What the heck is wrong with his uniform? It looks so very strange on him.
As a fellow officer, I understand that everyone in LAPD is on high alert, but that does NOT excuse this level of incompetence! I would hope that criminal charges and a large civil suit are to come.
Good for the NRA. Like always keep the pressure on congress to ignore Obama’s toilet paper releases.

I don’t think you’re giving it an impartial look. From a purely scientific standpoint in regards to saving lives, total civil disarmament is the best choice. You don’t need freedom to live. You need a semi climate controlled area, a modicum of nutrients and water, and some exercise and healthcare. I could greatly increase the number of safe children by getting rid of freedoms and personal choice. I’ll just lock you up in concrete buildings and let you out at fixed times. Think how many lives I could save by controlling diet and mandating work and exercise patterns? I mean, why stop at guns?
That’s basically the whole foundation of this gun-control argument. Some people feel that living is more important than life, and vice versa. Quantity over Quality. To some extent, that’s the whole foundation of left’s socialist agenda.
