Police loophole…. great terminology. we really need to fix that.
I hope Texas has room for all of us!
Once again, the RINOs across this nation missed it. You can’t tell me that this is NOT a co-ordinated nationwide effort directed by the CPUSA…I mean the WH. How many HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of Democratic and liberal Repubs have introduced, supported, and voted for these bills? Put on events, done interviews, produced TV segments, written articles etc….And it ALL JUST HAPPENED after Sandy Hook? The old Soviet Union used to call that “spontaneous demonstrations of the Russian workers and peasants.” Yup…
“Whereas civil rulers, not having their duty to the people duly before them, may attempt to tyrannize, and as military forces which must be occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow-citizens, the people are confirmed by the next article in their right to keep and bear their private arms.”
Tench Coxe (1755-1824), writing as “A Pennsylvanian,” in
“Remarks On The First Part Of The Amendments To The Federal Constitution,” in the Philadelphia Federal Gazette, June 18, 1789
Mr. Coxe was a prominent anti-federalist, one of those who worked toward adoption of the Constitution; it would not have been without the Bill of Rights.
If you are unfamiliar with the happenings of 220+ years ago, your education is deficient. Under the 2d Amendment we should be permitted to own and bear, within reason, weapons by right. The laws should be “shall issue” nationwide.
Look at how long those Canadians had their rights trampled before fixing things at the ballot box. The message is you can either lay down and take it, and play the long game and try to fix things, or you can fight. One guy fought, on paper, and lost, and now he is losing everything.
No where is safe from those who wish to disarm people, and turn them into victims.
I for one, when someone tells me they want to ban guns, I ask them one simple question:
“Who do you want to exterminate?”
I’m not going to mince words anymore.
Every single mass murder by a government in the 20th century (and even up to today…) has been preceded by gun confiscation. So, if they want to ban guns, I’ll ask them:
“Who do you want to exterminate?”
Do you want to exterminate homosexuals?
Do you want to exterminate people with Down Syndrome?
Do you want to exterminate people with Autism?
Do you want to exterminate people who were born disabled?
Do you want to exterminate the elderly?
Do you want to exterminate women who have had an abortion?
Do you want to exterminate people with dark skin?
Do you want to exterminate people with light skin?
Do you want to exterminate people who speak with an accent?
Do you want to exterminate people who don’t speak English?
Do you want to exterminate people who are in this country illegally?
Do you want to exterminate people who worship a different God than you?
Do you want to exterminate people who don’t worship any God?
Do you want to exterminate people who attend Synagogue on Saturday?
Do you want to exterminate people who attend Church on Sunday?
Do you want to exterminate people who attend Mosque on Friday?
Who is it that you want to exterminate? Let me know now, so if it happens to be me, I can be anywhere but here when the gas chambers are fired up.
All of those reasons, and many more, have been been used throughout the 20th century to come up with a “Final Solution” for various unwanted groups of people.
If you want to disarm someone, then I automatically think you are going to do them harm. You are not my friend if you’re trying to take away my ability (and likewise my right.) to defend myself.
If you were to ask a young Jewish man, say in his early 20s, in the 1920s, if he believed that in 20 years, when he would be in his 40s, that his siblings and parents, nieces and nephews, and any children he had himself, would be gased and burned, along with millions of others just like him and his family, he’d probably laugh at you.
As it stands now, I wouldn’t laugh at all if someone from 20 years in the future were to tell me that my own government tried to exterminate me and my entire family and all my friends…
If gun grabbers don’t like being referred to as a nazi, tough. If they don’t want to be referred to as one, then they should stop acting like one.
I draw the line at my firearms. It is my last line of defense before the gas chamber.
I’ve been a satisfied customer or theirs for a few years now. Today I’m even more satisfied.
It’s very telling when Canada teaches the US about gun laws. We also have the UK and Australia as examples of emotional legislating gone amok.
Will New York governments hold buybacks to arm their law enforcement officers? I just love the idea of the NYPD begging citizens to turn in a Raven Arms .25 so the poor cops can have a gun.
Note that the idea of universal background checks isn’t presented as an attempt at compromise. If a system were set up whereby buyers enter their information and an answer–yes or no–pops up on the screen with no record made, I’d have no major objection to this, but in response to such a waste of time, I want something in return. Eliminating the ATF form and bound books, for example.
Whenever gun control freaks yammer about compromise, ask what they’re willing to give in return. The answer is invariably nothing.
MAIG (Mayers Against Illegal Guns) should change its name to
MAGI (Make All Guns Illegal).
I feel sorry for the mother, totally agree with the shoot though. Too many innocents have been killed to care about a guy that made a wrong choice. Randy
Armalite is free to choose who they sell to and who they don’t. And we are free to choose to black list them for the next 30 years or until they go bankrupt.
Common sense would tell me if MAIG and other gun grabbers have to push all these stats (or so they call them) and have all the public meetings to gain support for these gun control bills, then maybe there is not much support for them. But isn’t that how the first awb got passed? kind of swept under the rug and all of the sudden there was a ban without much support.
You all should just tell your legislators to model there laws after the ones we have in Arizona! No need for a permit to carry concealed, open carry is fine, we can own automatic weapons, silencers, SBR’s, AOW’s, Texas always says they lead the way, well I can tell you they are way behind the curve; our biggest problem is too many idiots from commiefornia are moving here and trying to screw it up!!! We are still a free state, no democraps allowed!
Well done Barrett, well done. Thank you for your leadership.
Having the 2nd amendment to protect my first amendment right.
Email sent to ArmaLite.
“occasional auto-play ads (audio and video) ”
This is happening to me, the two I’ve been hearing are ads for Safeway and Target.
Heh. On the iPad, the Flash ads with sound don’t load, so no worries there. Floating ads are the SUCK on tablets, though, because they do crazy stuff when you zoom in on the comments page-area.
On the laptop, my AdBlock setup lets through the static non-annoying stuff but resolutely blocks the animated ads. I like it that way so I can still see the GunUp specials. 😉
just got the ten 25 rd uzi mags at $15 a pop. great deal in this market. don’t even have an uzi but i sure want one and i couldn’t pass this up. Thanks Gabe i will remember this in the future, you will see my business again.
“Armed government agencies”
So this is saying that Barrett is no longer supplying the US military?
“Require a firearms safety training class as a condition to obtain a permit to purchase a firearm and a firearm purchaser ID card.”
Canadian news anchor warns: Gun registration brings confiscation http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/feb/12/canadian-news-anchor-warns-gun-registration-brings/
At the risk of sounding insensitive, these fools in Colorado elected their representatives. I can only assume that those who vote understand the position of those for whom they vote, but that’s probably a huge leap. Regardless, this sounds like the organizers want private citizens to donate their 30 round mags to be sold in Colorado. I have little interest in sending any 30 round mags to Colorado when they did this to themselves. Votes are important, and way too many voters pull the lever with one hand, while extending the other for their piece of the government pie. You just can’t have it both ways. Either you vote for freedom and limited government or you vote to be cared for by the government. Either way, you reap what you sow…
Let the flaming begin…
