I was actually trying to illustrate how quickly ‘accessorizing’ starts to border on the ridiculous. With the exception of hi-cap, not one of those toys are can’t-live-without.
While all the reflex sights are amazing for quick-sighting, its a slippery slope as I find my iron sights aptitude getting fuzzy if I depend on them too much. All co-witnessed and left off 50% of practice so I don’t lose touch with real skills.

Marlin 1895G in .45-70, with tactical light. A chopped to 20” Remington 1100 12 ga with a hand honed action, pistol grip stock and tactical light. My S & W (new) .38 Bodyguard with factory pulsing laser. A Government machete-hand honed. The love of Jesus in my baby blue eyes…
Where’d you get the 10 shot extension for the 870?
I got it years ago, but let me check on some of my sources. You know the problem with any extension on newer 870’s is this stupid detent that makes it very difficult to add one on now, and have reliable feeding? I assume they are still doing it. Any good gunsmith can look and tell you. There are tons of older ones out there though. Back in a few-off to find a 10 shotter.
TTACer, your item is at Brownells, Stock # 100-002-953, Nordic Components Extended Magazine Tube, 5-rounds fits Remington 870,1100,11-87 12 ga. $79.95 in stock. The tech assured me it is a 5+4 extension, for total 9+1 capacity. I’d also order a barrel/magazine clamp to keep her locked down.
I say live and let live, uh, undead, or whatever. I have nothing against zombies and wouldn’t want to shoot one. Zombies aren’t all bad, you know. Mostly they just walk around in circles muttering to themselves like your crazy Uncle Morris. On the other hand, I wouldn’t invite a zombie to dinner, not even a vegan. Zombies smell bad and have terrible table manners. And while I’m extremely tolerant of all the new-agey religions, I feel strongly that eating the host is something best done in a church.

Are you sure you wanna use up the ammo that quickly? I mean if you have no choice…
I’m with Zealot: they’re *all* anti-zombie guns. Except for the .22s (headshots are too tricky, even for the shambling deceased) and the scoped 700 with the benchrest stock, which would only be useful if you’re holed up on the roof of a shopping mall.
Headshots are traditionally the only way to deal with zombies.
Now see what you’ve guys have gone and done! I’ve had to break out one of my many zombie flicks, put on my Zombie Hunter cap, change my 870 over to rifled slugs and start fine honing my machete. My bulldog and my wolf/St. Bernard are on high zombie alert and ready to pounce off the couch at any given moment. I’ll end up having to put my Red Man suit on for protection. You can never be too prepared for the undead. My ex became a zombie the second she hit the mattress every night…
Third priority in zombiewar (after being armed and not being in zombiewar :)) is to prevent ammo shortage. Goin’ melee just to save ammo and make “one shot – several kills” is just like that… And yes, once I played Resident Evil game. 😀
“Benelli Nova not only capable to save your skin during war on zombies, but it also good looking”. Little text “prevent freezing in humid environments, firing pin may be blocked” :D.
But with a .22 you have to hit them in the eye or through the nasal cartilage to reliably penetrate the brain. Centerfire calibers can power through the skull and send the living dead to their final rest.
