From Primary Arms . . .

Primary Arms Optics has released their brand-new SLx 3x MFS magnifier.

The SLx 3x MFS supplements your red dot or 1x MicroPrism with added magnification when engaging targets at medium to long distance. This magnifier is part of our SLx optics line. SLx optics built our reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

Compatible with most popular 2-screw magnifier mounts, the SLx 3x MFS is a versatile addition to any close-quarters optics setup, and the enhanced glass quality and wide field-of-view ensure that the user can always get a clear view of their target. Though the SLx 3x MFS weighs a mere 8.6oz, its durable construction protects it against repeated the shocks and impacts of duty use. As with all other Primary Arms Optics products, this magnifier comes backed with a limited lifetime warranty and commitment to customer satisfaction.

The SLx 3x MFS is sold standalone without a mount, reducing the price for customers that already own an aftermarket mount. For customers who do not yet have a mount—or those looking to make an upgrade—Primary Arms Optics has also released their new button-lock Flip-to-Side mount (FTSM-B), which perfectly fits their new magnifier. This flip-to-side mount places the center of the magnifier at absolute or lower 1/3rd height.

“With the success of our SLx 1x MicroPrism and MD-25 Red Dot, we wanted to expand our catalog with a supplemental magnifier that helps users get the most from their CQB optics,” says Stephen Morgan, Director of Product Marketing at Primary Arms Optics. “The SLx 3x MFS improves on our past magnifier designs with all-new materials and engineering, making it easier to spot and engage your targets at mid- to long-range. When paired with our new FTSM-B mount, it makes for a remarkably versatile optics combo, expanding the capability of any rifle setup.”

MSRP – $129.99

  1. I’d rather have a Sig JULIET3-MICRO 3x Magnifier. Yeah, the sig costs more (I got one for $150.00) but it comes with the flip to side mount and the glass is a whole lot better than the Primary Arms glass.

    • If you are going to need 6X but not all the time its better to move to a variable magnification 1-6 x with illuminated reticle “red dot” (if you want a “red dot”). Personally I’d go with the variable magnification 1-6 x with illuminated reticle “red dot” if I thought I was going to need 6x sometimes because I probably would not use magnification all the time.

3X might be useless for your needs, but for the majority its about all they need and buy which is why the market is full of them.

    • define “essentially useless”
i get head shots regularly at 300 yards on a bc27 with a 3x magnifier behind a 2 moa red dot sitting on top of a $250 upper with 77 gr bthp in the mag

      • “essentially useless” is in the eye of the beholder. 3X is just about what most people need sometimes. Nothing wrong with 3X

    • They DO make stronger magnifies & have a scope. Plans for a LPVO. Good enuf for this old man…

      • I got the new Sig 1-6x for $211. I figured you can’t go wrong at that price. It even has the shake awake feature than I haven’t seen on other LPVO’s.

        • The Tango-MSR LPVO 1-6x ?

Yeah, that looks nice. I was looking at one of those. How do you like it?

        • I’m no expert, so I’ll probably think it’s great regardless. I literally just got it. The box isn’t open yet.

          That price included the mount.

  2. The PA flip to side mount is $59.99
The PA SLx 3x MFS magnifier is $129.99

    $129.99 + $59.99 = $189.98

The PA magnifier weighs 8.45 ounces without the flip to side mount. They PA site doesn’t say how much their flip to side mount weighs but it probably weighs at least two ounces. So that’s about 10.45 ounces or more with the PA flip to side mount.

https://heartoftexasarmory.com/sig-sauer-juliet3-micro-3x-magnifier/ < black (out of stock right now) – $162.99

    https://heartoftexasarmory.com/sig-sauer-juliet3-micro-3x-magnifier-flat-dark-earth/ < FDE (in stock right now) – $174.99

The sig comes with the flip to side mount – the sig glass is better than the PA glass.

The sig weighs 9.9 oz with the flip to side mount.

The Sig Sauer JULIET3-MICRO – 3X Magnifier seems to be a better deal in price, glass, and weight.
