“We need to ban AR-15s, right? That’s one of these proposals,” Crowder said in a clip taken from his show Louder With Crowder. “Would banning AR-15s—if it was possible, assuming it’s not unconstitutional—would that make a difference?

“It would reduce total murders by less than 3 percent. Jeez,” Crowder added. “Here’s another potential path from the left. They said, ‘Well, we we need to increase gun-free zones… We need to make it hard for these people to carry firearms.’

“Except 94 percent of mass public shootings took place in gun-free zones. ‘We need to ban people carrying firearms, right? Far too many people are carrying firearms. Oh, OK. Hold on a second. There have been 370—at least—defensive uses of firearms just since January, right?

“Concealed-carry holders as a demographic commit lower crime than off-duty police officers… The most law-abiding group of Americans that you can find are concealed-carry permit holders,” Crowder said.

“Send this to anyone who thinks gun control is a good idea,” Crowder captioned the seconds-long clip, sparking spirited debate in the comments section. …

“Banning a weapon is only going to take them out of our hands and leave them in the hands of criminals,” another wrote. “If anything, it should just be harder to GET one in the first place. As in a background check. The kid who shot up Uvalde [Salvador Ramos] managed to easily purchase weapons despite a horrific track record of mental illness.”

  1. Another explain-our-position to sour puss foot tapping busy body deranged democRats whose Gun Control agenda is Rooted in Racism and Genocide. That’s like trying to explain child care to a pedophile.

  2. “The kid who shot up Uvalde [Salvador Ramos] managed to easily purchase weapons despite a horrific track record of mental illness.”

This says more about the incompetence of the supposed “mental health professionals” than it does about the need to have more stringent and more unconstitutional background checks.

With their track record of failing utterly to deal with these people, many of whom were either known to or actively being “treated” by psychologists or psychiatrists or some other professional counselor why in the HELL would you trust them to do better in the future AND give them more authority to decide who could or could not purchase a firearm?

    • The massive, taxpayer-subsidized system in place never does anything to help these people. Yet, they’re always screaming for more money to fund more useless government. No one mentions these people are often being neglected by their families. The recent death of the subway vagrant is a fine example. His family was recorded admonishing people for not going out of their way to help him while he was saying he didn’t care if he was arrested. Where have you been? He’s been on the street for how long? Why weren’t you, his family, helping him?

    • The current law requires an involuntary admission based on an individual’s threat of harm to himself or others, which admission in every state requires a judicial determination of that threat of harm. Voluntary out patient or inpatient treatment does not suffice under the laws as currently written. There is a due process component in this law, a component currently missing in the current slate of red flag laws, although some states do allow for a temporary suspension of the right to possess firearms for a period of time (as opposed to a lifetime ban under the involuntary commitment laws) merely if one is taken to a mental health facility for mental health evaluation.

  3. A WHOLE LOT LESS than 3 percent, the number of people killed in the last 50 years with an AR is less than murders (not with AR’s) in Chicago in 3 months!

  4. Steven Crowder’s a wife abuser. On video. Shouldn’t be on this site, no matter what his opinion is.

    • This. Fuck that dude. If you have not seen the things he said to his pregnant wife, they are not hard to find. His supporters are dropping like flies.

  5. This is why everyone needs an AK-47, the stats are so long on AK-47 deaths in the US they aren’t tracked! Wolverines!!!!!!

    • I’ve got an AK-47. It must be lazy though ’cause it doesn’t sneak out and shoot people by its self. Come to think of it, none of my guns – AR’s, pistols, revolvers, shotguns, other rifles – sneak out and shoot people by their selves. I wonder if the AK-47 infected them with its laziness.

    • Andrew that is so true. The left are fixated on guns as being the only weapon of choice and they see a utopia if guns can somehow be taken out of the picture.

  6. No word on the HK kerfuffle? They were doing their best Miller Lite impression, right down to the obnoxious feminist spokesperson complaining about women being used as sexual objects…when both the Miller Lite and HK feminist spokesperson have a history of using their bodies as sexual objects. The loudest wokesters are the biggest hypocrites.

  7. “False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Can it be supposed that those who have the courage to violate the most sacred laws of humanity, the most important of the code, will respect the less important and arbitrary ones, which can be violated with ease and impunity, and which, if strictly obeyed, would put an end to personal liberty… and subject innocent persons to all the vexations that the guilty alone ought to suffer? Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. They ought to be designated as laws not preventive but fearful of crimes, produced by the tumultuous impression of a few isolated facts, and not by thoughtful consideration of the inconveniences and advantages of a universal decree.”~ Cesare Beccaria

“But your flag decal won’t get you
      Into Heaven any more.
      They’re already overcrowded
      From your dirty little war.
      Now Jesus don’t like killin’
No matter what the reason’s for,
And your flag decal won’t get you
      Into Heaven any more“

  8. Fuck Crowder. Narcissistic prick.

Hopefully his wife smartens up and leaves him. She filed in 2021 and is still with him. Toxic relationship. Be a strong woman and gtf outta there!

    • This is the first I have heard of this since I don’t really follow his show so I am gonna play devils advocate. What are the sources of the videos, are they the entire interaction or bits and pieces taken out of context and edited together. I have seen plenty of videos that look damning until the full story comes out.

  9. No idea who this Crowder person is. No point in shooting the messenger because you don’t like the message.
The fact remains that murder with rifles of all types are usually less than 5 percent of all murders. In fact usually more people die from edged weapons every year than from rifle bullets.
Disarming the law abiding will do nothing to prevent crime nor prevent mentally ill, angry, or depressed persons from acquiring firearms or committing crimes.
