In the post marking the fact that TTAG crested 2m unique viewers per month, I claimed that we had more readers than the American Rifleman. Turns out I was crunching old data. Inflicting upon readers the kind of run-on sentence that makes third grde English teacher pull their hair out, adage.com provides box-fresh circulation data on the NRA’s house mag. “American Rifleman, one of the magazines that members of the National Rifle Association can receive as part of their membership, posted a 29.3% boost in circulation in the second half of last year, compared with the second half of 2012, according to new numbers released Thursday by the Alliance for Audited Media, which tracks magazine circulation. That leap, to an average circulation of 2.2 million from 1.7 million, was enough to propel American Rifleman into America’s top 25 magazines by circulation, according to the circulation group.” Congrats to AR! Needless to say, this website considers their success a new target for our on-line efforts. We’ll keep you posted. So to speak.
“…The way your dad looked at it, that rifle was your birthright. He’d be damned if anyone was gonna put their greasy hands on his girl’s birthright. So he hid it in the one place he knew he could hide something…”
In his ass!
Bloomburg and MIAG can kiss my ASS.
Wow. I just got mad reading this article. I have never seen any serious shooter using leather. How much leather do you see at gunsite? I personally have seen zero there, both from students and instructors. Crossbreed makes sense for IWB as it puts the leather side against your body for comfort and still offers the retention, draw and reholstering of kydex. OWB, sign me up for a Comp-tac, or if they don’t make what I want a Bladetech.
Let’s turn english idiocy into a game of NAME! THAT! CARTRIDGE!!!
Just looked at the website. They have 2 other sizes. Looks like about .30 and .45. The big one might be intended for the exit wound, which is gonna be bigger and need more packing material.
People usually have these 180 degree “come to jesus moments” when some abrupt, life altering, incident takes place that totally blows their perception of right and wrong out of the water… Gabrielle Giffords was pro gun until Loughner tried waxing her…
People don’t just drop the ball and waltz over to the other side an issue they have touted as evil for their entire career without someone or something flipping their life upside down.. Those 50 or so mayors he is talking about, left because of either criminal issues they were facing or severe personal career ruining issues that jeopardized the credibility of their little group.
One of the best books to read is Trapshooting Secrets, by James Russell.

James presents advanced shooting skills in an easy to learn manner.
I don’t think I’m alone in being very surprised at the number of entries in such a short time. This is a neat thing.
I think my faves so far are Granny Oakley and the young lady with three rifles. The first is just awesome and the second made me literally laugh out loud when I opened the email.
That said, they’re all pretty awesome. This post makes me happy.
Yep black swimwear and shottie
I agree with most of this review however, let me say that I have carried this revolver for three years and I am a very small framed man I stand at 5′ 6″ and weigh 170 lbs. The 2″ barreled model is not a pocket gun per se as it is a tad larger than a j frame but if you choose your clothing carefully and dress around your weapon there is no problem with concealment. This is a hefty revolver but I should point out that many people who complain about the weight of this revolver are many times carrying heavier pistols or revolvers on a daily basis. I am going to have the hammer bobbed on my 2″ to take care f the hammer snagging and then have an XS 24/7 big dot night sight installed to make it suitable for low light. With the concealability, durability, accuracy and the dependability of the SP 101 the added weight is well worth it.
Write a letter to the local paper detailing all the security flaws.
And, before anyone immediately flames me: No, it won’t reveal any “secrets” to criminals.
If one person can spot these flaws, ANYONE can. Letting EVERYONE know about them will: A. Enable people who haven’t paid attention to start taking precautions, B. Hopefully kick-start their thinking and involvement, C. Motivate the school to FIX the flaws.
NOT talking about the problem DOESN’T get the problem addressed of fixed.
Only real dudes shoot 1911s…Squirmers and carpenters shoot Glocks.
“Hey you bunch of little dicked gun but bastards”!!!
Definitely a no no!!
All I can say is it states any ammo on their site and from reading these threads it apparently works with this ammo, but not that, this is a POS BS company! Go to their site and see….”Using any factory ammunition (including a steady diet of high-pressure +P ammo that most other micros can’t hold up to) you can now have full-sized Glock 26 performance in a micro-sized package!”
Here is what I do not get about cops and situations like this. You are in your car, you have lots of sirens and probably a megaphone. You can get the whole neighborhoods attention. He could have called out of the megaphone to the owner of the house and requested assistance. Get the onwer to secure the dog should have been the first step.
