Biden’s NRA Tweet Was An Attack on All Law-Abiding Gun Owners

From the Second Amendment Foundation . . .

Joe Biden’s Twitter message to former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords may read like a threat against one gun rights organization, but it is really an attack on every gun owner in the nation, the Second Amendment Foundation said today.

Biden pledged to work with Giffords on her extremist gun control agenda, and promised to “defeat the NRA,” in the process, but SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb said that’s just cover for a bigger goal.

“Joe Biden has labored relentlessly for decades to reduce the Second Amendment to rubble,” Gottlieb stated. “He may attack one group by name, but his goal is to crush the rights of every gun owner in our country.

“By attacking the Second Amendment Rights of 100 million Americans,” Gottlieb continued, “Biden is not bringing us together but dividing us further. If people take to the streets in protest, if violence occurs it will be his fault and he should be impeached for violating our constitutional rights and inciting violence. Maybe it is time to ban him from Twitter and Facebook!”

This week SAF is launching its new major advertising effort to recruit tens of thousands of gun owners into the 2nd Amendment First Responder program. SAF is running a one-minute message 40 times this week, on several national networks, to educate millions of law-abiding gun owners about the gun rights battle. This message will appear on DirecTV, Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, MSNBC, The Weather Channel, One America News Network, CNBC, HLN, Bloomberg and Dish TV.

This hard-hitting ad urges gun owners and viewers concerned about the civil right to bear arms to join the fight by texting ‘PROTECT 2A’ to ‘474747’.  By texting, people can support SAF’s educational and legal action programs to protect their rights.

“Joe Biden isn’t fooling anybody,” Gottlieb observed. “He spent 47 years on Capitol Hill trying to turn the right to keep and bear arms into a regulated privilege. Now that he’s headed to the White House, he thinks he will be able to complete his mission. We’re working to swell the ranks of our 2nd Amendment First Responder project to stop him.”

“We didn’t start the fire, Biden did,” he said.

The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org) is the nation’s oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms.  Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control.

and no Gun owner organization will do squat to stop him. The republicans failed and are bailing, thus allowing the democrats to do what they want screwing the american people. There is nothing stopping them from changing this country into a communist/socialist state. They will smile and give it to everyone in the ass. Guaranteed.

    1. avatar TheUnspoken says:

The Republicans do better as the opposition minority anyway, now as stuff gets passed they can say “see, that was bad, vote for us and we will stop it! We will save you, just give us power back.” They didn’t have much of a cohesive vision outside of appointing judges, but they are filling national reciprocity and hearing protection act bills in the house now so they can start stumping for it.

The American people are not quite nothing. The Thief in Chief and the totalitarian cadre behind him are a bitterly and justly hated minority, who can’t do anything that Americans are unwilling to put up with.

So we have two questions: How many Americans will be aware of the rape of their nation and the people who are doing it? And how much repression and gaslighting are we collectively willing to put up with?

      We’ll see.

This control and the rise of the Deep State started in 1963 with assassination of a President who they didn’t like and we PASSIVE Americans have allowed them to trample our Freedoms and Constitution since then. They have taken statues down, are taking history out of text books, taken prayer out of schools, banned bibles or scriptures and prayers from federal and public buildings, released a virus to destroy a great economy, created a fake pandemic, shutdown our economy, etc and we have sat back and done nothing, NOTHING to say enough is enough. The invasion of the Capital was a large group saying enough is enough when the Deep State stole an election and are stealing our right to future fair and secure elections. Media didn’t and won’t say the protest was because of the corrupt election.

I, for one, don’t see an attack on the NRA as more than a proper diversion on anti-gun resources on a nebbish, while smaller, lesser known 2A defenders do the effective work.

You are actually right. These bastards expend a lot of time and hot air railing against the NRA, while groups like GOA, FPC, and SAF go do the work to roll back bad, unconstitutional laws.

The NRA is currently stumping for gun control in my state, and I’m absolutely livid. They’ve proposed so called “Stand Your Ground” in a state with no duty to retreat. The law makes standing your ground only available in certain situations, where it’s currently unrestricted. If you live in Arkansas, oppose this terrible terrible law.

“They still stand by the results of the electoral college though when it delivers what they need.”

Here’s the game, it is win-win for the Left: Repeal the Electoral College; move to direct election. If a loss happens, agitate for an Electoral College, and slam the opposition for allowing the repeal to happen; blame others for shirking their duty to protect the Constitution.

I heard a lot of people say that they weren’t going to vote because (insert stupid excuse here) There is no perfect party, and adults realize that. Not all individuals follow the basic ideas behind the founders intention to protect the people’s God given rights. In general there is only one party that hates your rights. The democrat party does. Just listen to them.

  10. avatar Miner49er says:

What are you snowflakes whining about?

President elect Biden is just following Donald Trump’s lead, just like Trump, Biden is not afraid of the NRA.

“Don’t worry about the NRA, they’re on our side,” Trump said. “Half of you are so afraid of the NRA. There’s nothing to be afraid of. … And you know what, if they’re not with you, we have to fight them every once in a while, that’s OK. Sometimes we’re going to have to be very tough and we’re going to have to fight ’em.”

Right after he made this statement, President Benedict Donald banned bump stocks.

    2. avatar Ing says:

Donald Trump wasn’t a perfect defender of our rights, so we should just bend over for the Thief in Chief and the communist whore…yeah…yeah, that’s the ticket!

You’re almost as convincing as Snidely Whiplash at a Pathological Liars Anonymous Association meeting.

  11. avatar Todd in the sticks says:

Any time I see a murder in the news I ask myself “was it an NRA member with an AR-15?” Don’t get me wrong…I am pissed beyond belief at WLP for all the foolishness with expenses, interns, etc. That doesn’t change the facts. In rural America, the guns per capita are higher than the urban areas and the murders per capita are less.

  12. avatar Chris T in KY says:

Well according to John Boch, TTAG writer, and “gun rights supporter”.

“The “Clear and Present Danger to Liberty, Freedom and the Constitution” is currently sitting in the Oval Office. Once he has been removed, that danger is finally retired.”

So according to Mr. Boch we have nothing to worry about with the new Biden administration.

Amazes me how many people, across the spectrum react to the “insurrection” without actually referencing Trump’s speech. Indeed, little attention is paid to the lack of a published transcript, and/or the lack of snippets of the speech being broadcast. (Note: the mostly peaceful protestors are being labeled “armed insurrectionists”, but where are the pictures of all the weapons?)

What we do have, from people across the spectrum, is an interpretation of the speech that seems predicated on certain words (like “patriot”) being code for violence. And of course, the Republicrat establishment re-asserting itself in denial of any connection to Trump.

Folks…..all along the spectrum….there are no sacred/sacrosanct installations in DC; as in None. What you are seeing is clear demonstration that the privileged elites are afraid of, and resentful of, coming face-to-face with the electorate. The privileged elites demonstrating their fear when they are confronted with the results of their policies, politics and propaganda.

Sam your right they can’t stand to be in the same room with us deplorable people.

        1. avatar Southern Cross says:

Not even in the same country, planet, or realm of existence.

Only our removal will bring some fleeting resemblance of happiness. Socialists/Communists are only allowed to feel happiness once the revolution is complete and utopia has been achieved. And this why they will never feel happiness or joy. Life is meant to be a triumph of struggle. Only alcohol blocks the pain of such an existence.

      2. avatar Chris T in KY says:

Anyone who uses the term “Insurrection” to describe the 1st amendment right is not a friend of Liberty. Trump supporters have every right to demonstrate as anyone else does.

I like everyone else have never thought Donald Trump was pure on gun rights. But he was much better than the democrats. And he was better than the “Libertarians”, as far as I’m concerned.

There is no one. And I mean no one ( R or D) who has publicly said while running as candidate, they would repeal every gun control law. Sadly Trump has articulated gun rights better than the Libertarians have done when they ran. We are at a very dangerous place in time now. The people who championed the 1st amendment, the Left, are now against it.

I have no elusions about how bad Trump is on many issues. But humans also get other humans to choose from as leaders. You are correct. The elites still fear the people. They are indeed very afraid of us. The best response to John Boch and folks like him is to keep using our free speech rights. And do so while carrying guns. Openly. They need to see that gun owners really do have self control. And that we are not intimidated.

The News Media will never be fair to us. But we have our own cameras now. And for every channel that is shutdown. Another one starts up. Never quit. Never give up.

        btw
There is a TV movie, from the 1980s, that displays the complete murder of the US congress. It was done by the same people who did the original “Red Dawn” film. The Left wing press complained loudly about the films broadcast. And the USSR ambassador publicly complained as well.

I don’t remember the name of the TV film. But it was the story of what would happens if the USA was taken over by a Left wing communist government.

        1. avatar Sam I Am says:

“They need to see that gun owners really do have self control. And that we are not intimidated.”

We and the enemy use the same words, but do not speak the same language. Seeing law-abiding citizens openly carrying firearms does not translate into gun owners having self-control, but a bunch of gun nuts who could “go off” at any moment and start killing everyone in sight. As they say, “One person’s freedom fighter is another person’s terrorist”.

The only common ground where Left and Right can come together is the cemetery ground. Whether by action, or natural causes, we are all dust-to-dust. Between now and then, the battle rages between good and evil. Evil wants you subjugated, or dead.

        2. avatar Chris T in KY says:

“As they say, “One person’s freedom fighter is another person’s terrorist”.

I use to hear this all the time. It was used to justify not using force to stop evil. And then that the evil comes to rape you.

The open carry of guns is just what we in a free society have to put up with. Its amazing how we are told we have to put up with nasty, rude, even sexually offensive behavior. In public. We are told its the 1st amendment. But innocent law abiding people who just walk down a street. Who open gun carry guns, who don’t talk to strangers, they are the ones we should be worried about???

The open carry of guns forces deviants to have self control. And they don’t like to have self control. But its self control, not imposed government control, that we need for a free society to continue.
