Reader Beau W. forwards an email response his friend Bob received from a prospective buyer interested in a Glock 19 he’s trying to unload: “I may buy it. I would do the $425 deal without the laser thing. Can’t commit now because I have been drinking. Will decide  tomorrow morning. If you still have it. Nice piece.” Give the guy props for knowing when he’s had too many mansodas to make an informed financial decision…even if he isn’t sure what that laser thing is.

  1. Send him an airsoft gun and tell him he must have been drinking again when he made the purchase, then send me the G19. Ill even buy the airsoft gun and mail it to the “buyer” so its no extra expense on the seller.

  2. I once bought a camera under the influance, it was a good camera that did what good cameras do.
And as W. Churchill once said (sorta) “The next morning, madam. I was sober, and you were still,,a camera!”
It’s not the decisions you make while impared that determine your life, it’s the decisions you make after you sober-up that determine your life (IE The Kennedys)

  3. He’s responsible enough not to make a purchasing decision while under the influence of alcohol, he likely then has enough presence of mind to know not to handle a firearm while intoxicated. I don’t see this as a likely IGOTD in the making. Most of us like the occasional drink, most of us like to shoot. Thankfully many of us know to keep the two separate.
