You may or may not be familiar with Pig Man. No, I don’t mean one of those deeply unsettling creatures from The Island of Dr. Moreau or Animal Farm. I’m talking about The Outdoor Channel’s resident pig killer, Brian Quaca. The Pig Man’s rooted out a deal for future firepower with Lewis Machine & Tool. “Notorious for his edginess, Pig Man has teamed up with LMT to assist in his pig eradication efforts with a personal endorsement of the .308 Modular Weapon System.” Marketing Maven Monica Sipp tells TTAG that Pig Man will pick up his circa $3k rifle in about three weeks. Along with a quiver of interchangeable barrels. Provided his roadies can carry them all, a two-minute barrel change will enable Pig Man to plug porkers in his choice of 5.56, 6.8, .204 Ruger, .308, .243 Winchester, .260 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, .338 Federal and 7mm-08 Remington. To paraphrase an old New Yorker cartoon, imagine a feral pig with the caption “He may be Brian Quaca to you but he’s Vasily Zaitsev to me.”

  1. why the redundancy? 243,260,7mm-08 and 308 are all 308 based . 204 and 5.56 are ballistic twins too. I wish him luck and curing salt for the bacon, but this is a clear violation of KISS. It could be VERY dangerous if you mix ammo.

  2. 6.5 Creedmoor? How far out is he shooting them? Feral pigs are a menace to people and a plague on the ecosystem, but shooting them from 900 yards is probably not a good way to get clean kills. He should be able to handle anything under 400 yards with just a 243, and ammo for that is about as common as opinions and assholes.

  3. Pig’s screwed now…..no excuses those Lewis’s shoot…..half moa all day from a slob like me !… 204, 6.8 & 308……damn fine weapons!

  4. Everything is very open with a very clear clarification of the
issues. It was really informative. Your site is extremely
    helpful. Thanks for sharing!
