NRA Announces New Officially Licensed Coolers

The NRA had a nasty break-up with YETI Coolers earlier this year when the Austin-based company — much like Delta, Enterprise, Symantec and Simplisafe, among others — dumped their affiliate deal with the Friends of the NRA after Parkland. Now the NRA has announced that they have a new partner in the premium cooler space, Idaho-based Cordova Coolers. Here’s their press release:

NRA Announces Cordova as Preferred Vendor and Official Licensed Coolers

FAIRFAX, Va. – The National Rifle Association proudly announces Cordova as the official licensed cooler and preferred vendor of the NRA. The Idaho-based company with the slogan “2A Is In Our DNA” offers high-performance coolers that are made in the U.S. and built for the real-world functionality that NRA Members expect in their outdoors products and lifestyles.

Cordova’s combination of innovative features with the highest possible material and production standards have raised the bar in cooler performance and customer expectations. With a lifetime warranty, higher cooling efficiencies, lighter weight and other industry-leading features, Cordova’s coolers are reasonably priced and designed to meet every need—from grab-and-go soft-side coolers and rotomolded hard-side coolers to chest coolers, cooler backpacks and tumblers.

“This is an exciting new partnership for us,” said NRA Executive Director for Advancement Tyler Schropp. “Cordova is a company that has an unrelenting commitment to the Second Amendment and respect for our freedoms. They build a quality American-made product that stands up to the needs and the lifestyles of our members.”

“We have always stood firmly for the Second Amendment and our collective rights to firearm ownership in defense of ourselves, our families and those in need, as well as our right to pursue recreational activities involving firearms,” Cordova owner Doug McMaster said. “Being selected by the NRA to become the official licensed cooler and preferred vendor of this vital organization is a great honor to all of us at Cordova, and we look forward to helping advance the NRA’s mission to ensure those rights remain intact for future generations of patriotic Americans.”

    • So instead of the NRA you have a life membership at the Second Amendment Foundation, and you also donate bigly toCrime Prevention Research Center (John Lott) and you also give to Gun Owners of America, and JPFO and Zelman’s Partisans.

      Right?

Or do you just piss and moan. (PS – if you want to change the NRA’s direction, you wont do it pissing on the window from the outside).

  1. The Executive Director For Advancement of the NRA is excited about…….coolers!!
I’m glad he’s got his shit together and has gotten past that nasty Bump Stock thing.

  2. Have heard from JWT yet on who was lying in the great NRA – ‘Yeti Kerfuffle’?

    Who dumped who?

  3. I kinda like my $20 Coleman I got from Wally World. It keeps food cold, and costs less than the food in it. I just can’t in any way possible justify hundreds of dollars for a cooler, because I’m not outfitting for a climb of Mt Kilimanjaro, or a trek to the head waters of the Amazon.

    • What disgusts me is all that chicom produced NRA swag they push at you for renewing membership. Should be made in the USA too. That or just stop sending $$ overseas and keep that money for protecting the 2A too.

      • Because NRA’s mission is all about favorable US trade & economic policy…

That’s akin to demanding all their junkmail be recycled paper and their bags made from vegan fabric.

  4. pricewise it descends from yeti to rtic to orca to ozark trail.
origin wise, all the tumblers are chinese. they are all 18/ 8 stainless, and all have copper electroplate on the exterior of the inner surface.
some yeti and rtic coolers are u.s. made.
maybe all of cordova’s stuff is made here. i doubt it.
