You may have heard about the massacre of 10 Mexican autodefensas in Apatzingán, Michoacán last January. Probably not. The U.S. media has completely ignored the ongoing imprisonment, torture and murder of Mexico’s citizen militias. The documentary above [click here for a translation] had no impact on America’s political, financial and military support of Mexico’s armed forces. Expect a similar reaction now that The National Human Rights Commission has declared the massacre an extrajudicial execution by the Federal Police. Their report to the Mexican government will be noted (perhaps), logged and forgotten. The war on the autodefensas continues. borderlandbeat.com reports after the jump . . .

The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) found  extrajudicial executions at the hands of the Federal Police in the events of January 6 in Apatzingán, Michoacán. This was announced by the Ombudsman Luis Raul Gonzalez Perez  when submitting recommendation 3VG / 2015 for serious human rights violations in the case, which is directed to the Department of Defense, the National Security Commission, the government of Michoacán and the City Hall of Apatzingán.

Excessive use of force by elements was found, which also caused the death of  ten people.

Between 2:30 and 7:40 pm on January 6, 44 federal police and 287 military conducted an operation against elements of the autodefensas (self-defense). In that event, one person was killed in the parking lot of City Hall of Apatzingán. In the second event, which occurred between 7:41 and 11:31 hours, nine people were killed.

Four of those killed in a black truck had 27, 7, 7 and 8 bullets, respectively.

“The deceased were not in possession of firearms therefore posed no threat to life or physical integrity of the Federal Police or anyone else,”says the report.

The fifth person in the vehicle is also described by the CNDH as an extrajudicial execution, since he had no weapon whatsoever, he was fired upon suffering 14 bullet wounds, while witnesses said the victim raised his hands in surrender.

“The National Commissioner is collaborating with the CNDH in the complaint and complaint arises because of the serious violations of human rights in the excessive use of force that resulted in the extrajudicial killing of these people. “said the organization.

“Also, 10 people who reported having been arrested in different places next to the Municipal Palace suffered unnecessary injuries inflicted upon them.”

    • If we just ignored it that would be fine.. we cause it by arming the Mexican gov with us weapons funded by you and me the taxpayers as well as our criminal atf etc backing the narcotics state status quo.

  1. As we have been preaching all along, this is what happens when the government insists on a monopoly on force. The only the government, and the criminals who pay them, have guns, and the people are slaughtered. I still fail to see why this is not reported in by the US news media, while a killing of two Canadian tourists (allegedly by Sinaloa thugs, but maybe not) on their way to Guadalajara make headlines.

i appreciate that it is easy to project your decency and desire for honesty on members of the US media, but this is something that we should guard against since we have more than enough experience to know better.

The US media doesn’t report this because it doesn’t fit any of their agendas. It doesn’t fit the “white racist cops executing kind lawful black men”. It doesn’t fit the “mass killings only happen in the US” narrative the President is pushing. It doesn’t fit the narrative that government is good and could never be used against its citizens.

The US media is in a symbiotic relationship with the totalitarian minded political types. They want power and control. Propaganda is just another means to their desired ends.

      • +1. The autodefensas are gun owners standing up to corrupt politicians and organized crime, when the federal cops cant, or worse, are part of the problem.

That doesnt fit the current Progressive Narrative, so it wont get any play at the StateRunMedia (CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WAPO and all the various journolistas and Vox-splainers embedded there or platformed elsewhere), whose job is to inform the LIVs how to think and vote.

      • When will we learn – there is no such thing as “NEWS”. There are only entertainment conglomerates that are paid to put forth a certain message.

Sometimes the message is “Buy a new lawn mower at the Home Depot” (Formal message)
Sometimes the message is “The Constitution is outdated, all whites are dangerous racists” (implied message)

    • Good point. A lot of people don’t understand that citizen militias are NOT about holing-up in an area and defending it against government oppression. Their goal is to liberate citizens suffering under the yoke of government oppression. Take that as you will.

      • Defense is a red headed step child. Once you’ve decided that talking is done, and if your buddies that are doing the talking are being exterminated, it’s time to get bloody minded and take the fight to the bad guys.

I don’t claim to be a brave or wise man. But I know when it’s time to start the dirty work. And it’s long past that time in Mexico.

I understand the Mexicans have a long history of revalution that always seems to work out to their detriment. But if you’re being raped and murdered anyways, might as well start swinging. At this point they got nothing to lose.

  2. This is the norm for most countries in the world. Liberal/progressives try to create the belief that america is the most racist and oppressive country in the world by creating out of whole cloth the ideas of “white privilege” and the belief that blacks and minorities are targeted unfairly by the police.

The Regressive(progressives) truly have no idea what real oppression and being targeted by the enforcers of the state for whole sale slaughter really means.

  3. Could it be our press/media corporations do not report on the killing of Mexican citizens trying to protect themselves from government because the press/media corporations consider the slaughter an appropriate response to people who mistrust their government?

    Makes you wonder.

    • Does the omerta extend to Spanish language, Mexican immigrant oriented media as well? I don’t know enough Spanish to check myself.

    • But.. but why do you NEED an AR-15??

      This. This is why.

And this is just the tiny fraction of what’s going on that managed to be recorded and sent to the States. The reality is far, far worse.

  4. Before citing Mexico’s The National Human Rights Commission for anything, you should know that it has done nothing but aid Mexican border jumpers to cross illegally into the US. So, anything that The National Human Rights Commission says about anything is highly suspect, if not outright bullsh!t.

  6. Instead of funding Syrian rebels, our govt. should provide offensive capability to the autodefensas.

    • Maybe we could do something similar to “send a gun to defend a British home.”

The gov did it with Fast and Furious except those went to oppress the Mexican population. We would just be counterbalancing that.

    • Nope our government is on the side of the Mexican government and to a lesser extent the cartels. Our government doesn’t want the autodefensas to succeed either.

      • Nope our government is on the side of the Mexican government and to a lesser extent the cartels.

I would argue that our government IS definitely on the side of the cartels. First of all, cartel activity (narcotics distribution and sales) justifies a huge federal standing army (tens of thousands of federal agents in the various alphabet soup agencies). Second, government loves all the cartel money that they acquire through smuggling interdiction, asset forfeiture, etc. I imagine there are additional reasons as well. At any rate, those first two reasons are compelling enough all by themselves.

  7. If you watch the documentary “cartel land” you’ll see that the autodefensas have also become corrupted and joined the cartels.

  8. For the second time in as many days, I am ashamed of our government, and it all starts with Barack Obama. Willful ignorance of and repeated inaction towards an authoritarian regime in a neighboring country is not only morally shameful, it risks the creation of a civil war which could spill across our border to an even greater extent than it already has.

It is a pity that the autodefensas did not have the good sense to pledge to reduce their carbon footprint or host some syrian refugees. That might have brought some attention to their cause.

  9. The Mexican Federales are said to be the best law enforcement money can buy, and they have been bought almost exclusively by the cartels and their government lackeys.

  10. And as we bring these people here they inevitably bring their culture and traditions with them.

What we see above is the culture and traditions that will therefore be coming here.

Or I should say, already in progress.

    Not good.

  11. Chilling to think this is what CSGV, MDA and the über Left would like to see done to us American gun owners…
