Click bait? In my defense, the Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America sticker (also available from cafepress.com as a T-shirt, tote bag, etc.) clearly indicates a double meaning. We can take you out. Know what I mean, wink, wink, nudge, nudge? And if gun grabbers can have a major hissy fit when Sarah Palin’s Facebook page put crosshairs on a map to indicate politically vulnerable candidates,  we can have a major pretend hissy fit over this. More than that, the incendiary image betrays Shannon Watts’ unbridled animus towards, well, everyone. Not to put too fine a point on it, this is some nasty sh*t. Especially from a former PR maven. Perhaps it indicates a feeling that they’re embattled and losing. Here’s hoping.

    • Exactly. Liberals like to lie to themselves, pretending that they are, like you said, all about peace and understanding, until they don’t get their way, when they show their true colors.

  1. You do realize, of course, that those Palin “crosshairs” are actually surveyor’s/engineer’s marks that are routinely found on blueprints and real estate plats and such? I mean really, do those things look like a real rifle-scope image? More to the present point, tho–can you imagine what the outcry would be if the NRA referenced gun owners “taking out” politicians?

    • Oh the hue and cry and rending of garments! Especially from that Bloomberg-funded coven of jackals and ghouls.

Maybe he’s being distracted by his new UN appointment as Master of the World’s Cities.

  2. I tweeted to them that I hoped the backs of the Tshirts had targets on them, then realized that might not go the way I wanted and deleted it.

There is a joke/play in there somewhere. Maybe someone smarter than me and figure it out.

    • That’s the right general approach. If anyone makes an issue of this, it should be done in a mocking way rather than with any kind of outrage (feigned or otherwise)

  3. Take them out? Better start practicing your voter fraud, moms, it’s the only way you’re going to get into double-digits at the polls. I’m practically shaking in my GLOCK-brand undies.

  4. I’ll bet that if TTAG started selling bumper stickers, MDA would not report on it. Stop making them bigger than they are.

      • “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

        That’s right.

These are not just women who truly are fearful of guns with innate irrationality.

These are calculating women, women of the Leftist mentality and they are the worst kind of enemy as they have all of the great successful tools that Feminism has developed over the past 20+ years to apply to this fight.

They are to be feared and fought with everything we have. I can assure you if you are not keyed into how Feminism has taken over our country and instilled the Left’s political correctness into all of our instituations: Education, the Media, the Government, Corporate Governance you have no idea what you are dealing with.

Feminism is a vehicle for Socialism. They don’t just want your guns. They want your freedom and your balls. And they have a done a pretty darn good job up until now at getting both of them under their control already.

The gun men and the MRAs are the only two groups left standing and fighting them.

    • I’ll bet if TTAG or any other 2A rights group printed a bumper sticker referencing “taking out” anybody, MDA would indeed report it–and so would just about every other mainstream news outlet.

      • That is exactly right. Because it’s ok and the MDA get a pass when they do it because all of the institutions are on their side.

However: they hold a different, better and UNATTAINABLE set of rules for us. Rules that are easy to break, that at times we don’t even know are there (have you heard of “dog whistles” yet?)

One of Saul Alinsky’s rules that we need to follow is this one: MAKE THE ENEMY LIVE BY THEIR OWN SET OF RULES.

So what we should do is call them on on their little threat of violence and broadcast it far and wide.

      • Forget the threat. If any gun rights group dared to portray women with a 1950’s coiffure and only their lips with color, the reaction would be overwhelming rage. And yet I suspect the drawing expresses something in Shannon’s psychology, a wish of sorts. Seriously, she needs to be taken in hand by somebody who can let her express, if only occasionally,, that inner fifties wife role desire. I really think it would help, and she would be happier.

        • I call your dog whistle.

Have you heard of a “taken in hand” marriage?

LOL – if not, Google it. You’ll laugh your butt off at the joke you made without knowing it!

    • Yup. MDA making bumper stickers? That nobody is going to buy, even out of the 200 MDA members?

Oh, gee. Look at all these f**ks I don’t give.

  5. wait are they wanting to assassinate politicians thats what is seems to me by “taking them all out” im gonna have to call the FBI

  6. Yawn. Just a trite play on the old threat “I brought you into this world and I’ll take out.” The cult of Mommy is really scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one. I say TTAG readers should keep their eyes peeled for anyone actually wearing a shirt or carrying a bag with this print.

    • I kind of agree with you there, I think that “mom” card is getting pretty played out. But then maybe the response to that is to keep after them until it is completely played out

  7. As I’ve said before, the way to deal with annoying chicks is to deprive them of their life support, male attention.

To these bored women, getting 2A people all riled up is the attention fix they need to validate their “mission.” Ignore them. Give them the electronic version of turning your back on them and pretending that their interruption didn’t happen as you carry on your conversion with the other adults.

If your dog pees on the carpet, you don’t reward him, or you’ll get more of the same behavior. These chicks crave attention. Even negative attention. If you “reward” them with it every time they pee on the carpet, so to speak, they are getting what they want.

  8. Think about how this looks. A group of primarily men trying to engage a bunch of women who rally behind the word “Mom!” in a massive b!tchfest. There’s nothing good here.

“Don’t argue with an idiot because they’ll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

    • I’m amazed by how many people like you that just don’t get it. You people are the reason we have lost so many rights in this country. The same people afraid to call out democrats on their lies and behavior because you don’t want to sound mean or offend the independents. Then you sit back and wonder why we lost the election, again.

Fortunately there are people still around that aren’t cowards and are willing to stand up and fight back. We know our enemy and their tactics and how to counter them. You don’t have to stand with us but don’t sit around telling us how we should be doing things because we have tried your way and it has been nothing but a failure.

      • Uh….. what?

I didn’t say that we need to lay down and die. I’m saying that this group of people is not worth our collective time or effort. We need to focus on actually promoting gun rights instead of getting mad at an otherwise ineffectual group of harlots with banners.

Tell me, what have you personally done to promote and protect your rights? I’ve spent the last few years getting a degree in political science, and I’ve been working at policy centers and think tanks as a policy analyst. I’ve actually testified before governmental bodies.

And you sit there and type angry comments on the internet.

        • your time has been well invested but apparently you were mis focused. so sorry.

figthing the Liberal Left is the main game. Nothing else matters.

        • Yes. Fighting the big guys is important. MDA is small business. Most people don’t have any clue who they are.

Go to a college campus and ask, “Who is MDA? How about MAIG? CSGV?” You won’t get anything but blank stares.

They know who the NRA is. This is both good and bad. The NRA and the SAF needs to start focusing on establishing positive name recognition.

  9. Sounds like Moms Demand & Shannon Watts are talking about political assassination. I wouldn’t put it past those COMMENT MODERATED

  10. If “moms bring all politicians into the world,” does it follow that moms also bring all the criminals into the world? I guess they are 0 for 2.

  11. The hypocrisy is incredible, but I’m thrilled with this. Watts is essentially throwing a tantrum because of how little traction her organization has. And this little stunt will only hasten their demise, showing their true colors (anger and violence to get what they want, rather than “reasonable restrictions”) and further alienating the low info voters and fence sitters.

Keep at it Shannon! You’re only hurting yourself (and by extension, helping the POTG).

  12. Since that pro-Obama, anti-gun, and unqualified MD from India is no longer in the running for US Surgeon General perhaps Obama will now want Shannon girl to be the next Surgeon General.

  13. I think the reaction is a bit unnecessary. This is just another piece of propaganda designed for the average MDA member. They’re trying to convince their own members MDA can do something…anything.

    • “They’re trying to convince their own members MDA can do something…”

They are trying to convince their members to buy a bumper sticker. This is fundraising more than propaganda.

      • I think it’s more about getting their logo out into the mainstream as an accepted meme.

They don’t need to fundraise. Bloomberg has billions.

  14. How about TTAG stops reporting on them? I can understand keeping an eye on things, but why continue to give them a spotlight…

    • I completely agree.

I mean.. all of the posts have been reiterating how the group will be soon fading into the pages of time, right? Why continue beating a dying horse?

    • It’s become a bit of an uncomfortable obsession around here. When they were actually “doing things,” it made sense to keep posted. But this? These are becoming daily posts of “Look what MDA’s NOT doing!”
Contrary to some of the opinions found here, I think WE’RE the only ones keeping them relevant.

    • I disagree. MDA is a manifestation of mental disorder (OCD, for one example). They must be stopped and disbanded before they follow the path to ruin trod by the Salem Witch Trial instigators and the Prohibitionists, to name two similarly demented proto-Feminist groups.

  15. I say we hijack the image and replace MDA moms with NRA moms or something similar. We have more success than they ever will, considering the Colorado recalls.

    • There are a few girl gun groups with Mom in their name.

They are not well organized. But I agree with you having a pro-gun Mom group with funding and TShirts and a Twitter presence would be great.

  16. Sounds like a public threat to politicians that are in favor of guns. They should be deemed terrorist and held without release.

  17. I see your point, but I reject the Two Wrongs fallacy in all it’s forms. They’re hypocrites, I get it. Just toss that on top of the Mt. Everest sized pile of wrongs attributable to this toxic group, move on and remind them who won the day after election day.

  18. There’s constant talk on here, the literal sense, about the best guns, calibers, ammo, gear, techniques, etc. for shooting BGs…

If some T-shirt with a possible double meaning is getting you riled, you should rethink the whole carrying a gun and shooting people business. You may not have the stomach and/or temperament for it.

  19. Isn’t it funny that a pro-disarmament group is making threats to a pro-rights group? It is like a deer attacking a lion for eating meat.

Not advocating violence against them, but I am not afraid of them either (met scarier people).

    • It isn’t funny if they get away with it.

If they get away with it and we don’t punish them for it, it’s pathetic on us.

  20. “… we can have a major pretend hissy fit over this.”

I prefer to treat them like whiny six-year-olds. Ignore them until they act right.

To each their own, I suppose.

    • Well, I have seen parents throw little pretend hissy fits right back at the whiny kid, just to show them how ridiculous they look. And the kid maybe breaks down in laughter, and mom or dad is then able to teach them something. But you may have a point, not sure the Moms Who Don’t Get Action have the capacity to see how ridiculous they look and learn from it.

  21. Not just have a fit, point out the hypocrisy of advocating violence against people and for what? For believing in their rights as outlined in the Bill of Rights? That there is anti-murrican as well.

  22. It isn’t about right vs left, it is about right vs wrong.

Sadly, that facts seems to be little observed here of late.

      • LOL!! But seriously, Wassim, I want to know–how indeed does a good leftist (ie collectivist, ie statist) manage to support an individual’s right to bear arms–keeping in mind that leftists recognize, as one of their great heroes put it, that “political power grows out of the barrel of a gun”?

        • How does one imagine attacking Wassim (who we know very little about, personally) is a good thing for our cause?

          Oh. I get it now!

  23. The mother of my children and the mother of my granddaughter know what actions are necessary for Mom’s, that is a concealed carry permit and .38 special.

  24. My mom showed me a picture last week of her friend of nearly 40 years. She is a mother and brought two children into this world. In the picture she was holding one of her prize possessions, what she calls her buffalo gun. It was a large lever gun of late 1800s vintage. It put a smile on my face. Shannon Watt’s picture makes me frown.

  25. Seriously, TTAG, get over these stupid MDA posts and Watts talk. You are doing more to legitimize them than anything else. Just ignore them. I wouldn’t have known they even existed if it weren’t for you.

  26. If I’m Ms. Watts, I dance a happy dance every time TTAG links to my propaganda. External links from popular sites will dramatically improve their search engine rankings.

Ms. Watts should send Mr. Farago a thank you note.

    • If I’m Ms. Watts, I dance a happy dance every time TTAG links to my propaganda. External links from popular sites will dramatically improve their search engine rankings.

I’m sure they’ll get ten hits from us. Will one of those be yours?

I did. And here’s a link to their contact page with the note I left them. Be nice.

      Have at them.

  28. The imagery associated with the term “take them out” is troubling but it’s NOT the first time the anti-2nd Amendment cabal belonging to “the Left” (Democrats) has stooped to calling for violence against gun owners and their supporters. In fact this is no different than what Rep. Carolyn “My Son Is A Vegetable Because He Didn’t Have A Gun on The LIRR Train” McCarthy (D-NY) said on the day the so-called “Assault Weapons” Ban expired under George W. Bush. The taxpayer financed drool wiper and diaper changer actually appeared “live” on DNCTV (MSNBC) standing on the steps of the U.S. Capitol and pleaded with her minions encouraging them “to ‘take out’ President Bush” due his refusal to cow to her demands on prohibiting firearms she finds offensive to Liberal sensibilities.

  29. REALLY getting tired of this “We’re moms, we’re the boss of you, no matter who you are” attitude. Sorry, Shannon, You’re not my mother.

      • I love when the Liberals have multiple agendas happening simultaneously that conflict.

the current “big thing” for promoting giiirrrrllll power is #banbossy.
Yes, they want to ban the word “bossy” as it applies to girls.

Yet here is the MDA bossing everyone around.

  30. Well I can appreciate what some say about MDA mockery getting old here at TTAG. If you’ve been around and/ or can resolve facts for yourself you already know they are a front group for Nanny Bloomberg who apparently doesnt mind paying them and I am sure the various StateRunMedia™ memo and meme generators to pass it along. I mean if the Nudge Team doesnt have the facts then they have to be FakeBooked right?

  31. See March 19 post about claiming victory where none exists. Local TV news mentioned MDA prominently in the BS Slidefire billboard story( in Chicago). TTAG is right to cover Watts & Company. Continuing ridicule is warrented( pretty EZ). They ain’t going away soon.

  32. I would purchase said sticker, cut off the bottom-right corner (logo and all), and substitute it with an appropriately-sized American flag.

    Or NRA logo.

    Or SAF logo.

    Or NSSF logo.

    Or NAGR logo.

    Or GOA logo.

    Or.. you get the idea.

Same statement, but the latter is actually defensible.

  33. C’mon. Don’t be petty. I actually like it in a kind of “We can do it” retro-moxie sense. Doesn’t mean I agree, at all, they’re a horrible, putrid group. But if we freak out over this and even admit we don’t actually care, we’re just being like squabbling children. Let them be the immature ones like they rely on, we should be the bigger ones. We’ll win hands down that way.

  34. So… if Moms bring all politicians into this world, doesnt that mean they also bring all the disturbed mass shooters into the world as well?
    nature vs nurture

    nice argument MDA…

  35. Mother Teresa said she’d never attend an anti-war rally, if there’s a peace rally, she ‘d be there. By drawing attention away from dipshit moms and focusing on protecting our 2A rights, we hold a much better stance against anti gun assholes. Not saying they should be ignored. Monitor them without reaction until reaction is required. It could result in a more proactive 2A community, therefore a more productive one.
