Shit happens. When bad shit happens involving firearms, even when no one dies or receives a new hole in their body, it’s time to STOP. Stop and very slowly and methodically figure out what went wrong. You know; so that something even worse doesn’t happen. Laughing’s OK. A release of tension is a good thing. I’m breakin’ balls, but you know my point, right? The percentage of gun owners who claim to be legitimate and responsible but who are really dangerous and reckless, is too high. That’s it.
Too high, yes, because any stupid person doing something is one too many. I think of all the times I’ve seen people driving cars while reading books or typing on a laptop on their steering wheel. If all of those drivers posted their exploits on youtube we’d think there were more of them than there are… it’s just a perception thing. In reality, I don’t think most gun owners shoot all that often.
