Ansley Pacheco gun shooting home invasion

Ansley Pacheco is an Instagram model who lives in Hialeah, Florida. Earlier this month, two armed men grabbed a guest who had just pulled into their driveway and then forced their way into Pacheco’s home. The goal was robbery.

From local10.com:

Robbers stormed her home, ambushing her husband, friends and her 7-year-old son ambushed at gunpoint.

“You know, they could’ve killed him; they could’ve killed me. They didn’t care at all,” Pacheco said. “We don’t (know who they are), but I really hope they get caught.”

Pacheco heard the intruders enter and then grabbed a handgun.

“While I was in the bathroom, I started to hear the commotion, I started hearing, ‘Get down, get down, give me everything you got,’” she recalled. “I went to the nightstand; I grabbed the gun and I opened the door. I saw one if they (sic) guys face to face with me. He told me to put my gun down. I just shook my head no, and then I said, ‘Don’t shoot me, my son is in here.’”

One of the home invaders shot at her and she returned fire. Here’s security video of what happened:

Fortunately no one was hurt during the exchange of rounds. The two thieves grabbed some jewelry and then took off.

“They finally just ran out,” Pacheco said. “My husband ran and got the gun and shot back at the vehicle that was leaving.”

Not something we would suggest. Shooting at fleeing criminals, no matter what they’ve done, is illegal and opens the defender up to serious charges.

We guess Pacheco’s husband won’t be charged, but either way, this was yet another successful defensive gun use. One of between 600,000 and 2.5 million that take place every year, according to the CDC. Unlike this instance, most DGU’s never involve pulling a trigger.

And if the Biden/Harris team wins in November and gets their way legislatively, defending yourself with a firearm against criminals and other attackers will be significantly more expensive and difficult.

  1. Training and awareness, folks! Most important things no matter where you live, or whether or not you’re “famous”!

    • Two thoughts come to mind:

      1) Kudos to the fact that this younger family believes in gun ownership and had something available for this situation. The presence of the defensive gun was clearly a deterrence and prevented what may have been a worse outcome. Exterior cameras are almost a must nowadays, but I wince at the thought of interior cameras within my home, other than maybe a single cam aimed at the front door to record only what transpires from the POV of the person answering and opening from within. No way would I want cams all throughout the house, though I’m not an Instagram model.

      2) If you have a gun and choose to employ it in defense of your family and home, act decisively and with determination. If two criminals were to barge into my home, wave guns around at my wife to force her to the floor, and I were in another room where I successfully accessed my own gun…those criminals would not be leaving the house upright. This is exactly why POTG advocate training, familiarity, and advance “what if” planning.

Aside from that, I’m glad that the family all escaped harm and legal action from a Leftist D.A., such as has happened to Rittenhouse and the McCloskeys.

    • I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no expert BUT (or BUTT !) this looks like a setup to me. An instagram model? with prominent photos (and caricatures) showing her thong covered asp makes me think publicity opportunity.

  2. Hey Joe tell the right way to do it. Just take a double barrel shotgun and aim out the back window. That would have worked fine right? No need for a semi auto handgun when armed intruders bust into your home. Man when will these people learn the police will protect you and there is no reason for armed defense.

  3. It will not be expensive and difficult, it will be illegal. Britain has all but outlawed self defense and if you confront a criminal you could wind up in jail. That is the path that Biden and his clan want to take you down while they have armed protection.

    • When everyone who employs violence is prosecuted as a criminal, the defender ALWAYS loses. Only the most aggressive, for whom violence is a profitable and enjoyable activity, come out ahead.

They have handed their society over to thieves and barbarians.

  4. One must understand the difference between cover and concealment.

Also, this proves 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000% that the whole “Because .223/5.56 doesn’t go through walls!” is retarded.
    450 Bushmaster, .308, 7.62×39 FTW

        • There should be one more PEW. ALWAYS keep one in the chamber. Don’t be the one that says ” oh wait while I put one in the chamber” . That 1/10th of a second could be the difference between you being shot and the perpetrator walking away after he or she has shot you and not you looking at them laying in the floor. ALSO, That .380 will work just fine. I don’t know anyone that would want to keep coming at you with it pointed at them unless they are stupid. But then again, if they do you know what to do.

    • tsbhoa.p.jr,

This is an extremely rare instance where the husband/father may have survived because he was NOT armed.

When an armed robber literally appears all of a sudden in front of you pointing a gun in your face — which is exactly what happened here — attempting to access your handgun in your pocket or waistband and deploying it for self-defense in that instant almost guarantees that the armed robber prevails and you die. (It is basically impossible to draw, raise, and fire a handgun for effective self-defense before an armed robber can simply squeeze the trigger on the handgun which he/she is already pointing at you.)

In that specific scenario I believe your odds of a good outcome are far better if you can somehow placate the armed robbers until there is an “opening” to draw and deploy your handgun. (In the previous sentence an “opening” is an instant when something away from you captures the attention of the robber/s and enables you to draw and fire before your attackers realize what is happening.)

  5. There is no excuse for the perps not being shot dead. Shooting at the fleeing perps is after the fact but who knows the perps could have been pointing their guns back at the victim. Hopefully the police can find and arrest the perps before they strike again.

    TRUMP/PENCE 2020.

    • “There is no excuse for the perps not being shot dead.”

Uh, maybe you’d step and and cover their legal fees had they shot ’em dead. And I’m certain the local prosecutor would’ve just chalked it up as a good shoot on your personal recommendation and everything would’ve been cheery, especially when the hubby and other guy grabbed the gun and started chasing the cretins after they left the residence.

Do your own dirty work, Deb, and for God’s sake, if you’re sitting around reading this stuff, be careful from whom you take your advice. By all means, end the threat. Don’t prolong it for some personal “glory”.

  6. Hmmm…saw this “celebrity” and her video on Inside Edition I believe. She had a gat & little else. Obviously a targeted home invasion no doubt because she flaunts her body & “stuff”. And Floriduh😏😏😏😏

    • Why would you mock someone that used a gun to drive off some thugs?

I don’t get it- is it just because some chick, with what you consider to be too small a caliber, and probably with what you consider to be little to no training actually got the job done in spite of all the supposed errors? Does there need to be a dead body lying on the floor to justify it?

That’s the kind of stats the antigun crowd pushes when they mock us and try to ban concealed carry- Judged on the tiny number of dead crooks stopped by CCW holders during the commission of a crime, it’s just not worth it, or so they espouse.

Disregard completely the number of robberies, rapes, assaults, car jackings, home invasions, etc. that are staved off without a shot, merely because a gun was presented by someone on the proper side of the law? Smart tactics, guys, you’ll really knock ’em dead in the forum of public opinion.

The Second Amendment applies to everyone, not just you elite, real gunnies. Cripes…

    • Bullet holes appeared real. You’d let someone throw lead in your direction just for attention?

  7. Goes to show you cant just rely on your tech to do it for you.

The gate has to be opened sometime.

And the cameras dont stop anything, but they do provide a record.

They were fortunate. I wonder if it they will alter their routine.

  8. Just a friendly reminder that you will never have a hot mami holding the fort down for you. Also, if it was fake, kudos to them for expertly planting that squib in the flat screen, really professional stuff.

  9. Had this very same event occurred in a “mandatory safe storage” state, husband and wife would be facing prosecution for the fact that their handgun was readily available in their nightstand (with young children in the home).

And that brings up an interesting conundrum:
    1) I believe it was extremely irresponsible to store a loaded handgun in a readily accessible nightstand with small children in the home.
    2) Having a loaded handgun in a readily accessible location could literally be the difference between life and death for the defenders.

In order to solve that conundrum — to have a loaded handgun readily accessible for immediate self-defense and inaccessible to small children — parents should store the handgun on an open shelf as close to the ceiling as possible. That satisfies both requirements.

    • When my kids were too young to learn to shoot, I solved the problem by storing my gun on the floor beside my side of the bed. The kids were not welcome in the room, problem solved. Solving problems which do not exist is a waste of time, no matter who advocates it.

    • If you don’t have kids, which I don’t, the accessible options can be pretty simple or rather elaborate.

Personally, I don’t trust biometrics and have no reason to use a safe in this context. And where I am the police response is long unless a Sheriff’s Deputy just happens to be nearby. So, I home carry. But I have a backup for that as well because I don’t carry 100% of the time, no one does.

I took an old training belt and put it on a hook on a wall in my bedroom. It’s sized for me and it’s not buckled. On it I have a sidearm, MIFAK, spare pistol mag, fast mag for a rifle, a card of 5 shells of #4 buck and a cheaper set of electronic earpro wrapped around the MIFAK.

Even if I just stepped out of the shower and have nothing but a towel, if the door comes crashing in the dogs will buy me enough time to grab that, wrap it around myself and close the cobra buckle. Two steps to the door and I pass both a loaded rifle and a loaded 12 gauge on the way, pick one up as I pass. From nothing but a towel to a long gun, pistol, blowout kit, earpro and spare ammo in 60 seconds flat from anywhere on that floor of the house, about 10 seconds from the bathroom, so unless it’s a SWAT team (I’m fucked anyway at that point) the dogs are either in the process of killing your dumb ass or I’m about to be.

And if, Heaven forbid, it comes to tactical nudity, well, if they somehow got past the dogs and the shock of a naked guy in a war belt doesn’t kill them the round(s) I put in their direction will assist them in the shuffling off of their mortal coil.

Realistically, other than a SWAT team they’re probably getting torn apart on the porch or in the driveway since they probably tried to run from the dogs but why take the chance when it’s an excuse to LARP a bit?

        • The terror this picture induces is directly proportional to how jolly that Santa is at the time.

There’s something very Stephen King about a naked Santa killing your accomplice while displaying an excess of holiday cheer.

“Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!” *BOOM* “A lump of lead in the chest for you misbehaving little bastards! Now, who wants to sit on Santa’s lap?!” *BOOM*

  10. Let’s be honest, that woman is pretty stunning. All she had to do was step out nude in front of those attackers and they would have been effectively paralyzed — gobsmacked at her form — which would have enabled her husband and guests to casually cold-cock the home invaders and incapacitate them.

While my above comment is somewhat in jest, I believe there is a very real possibility that it would work exactly as I stated.

  11. Well done, Ansley! But take some shooting lessons so you hit the bad guys. You don’t want to hit family and friends.

If the laws concerning gun ownership and use of force in self defense become as lopsided in the criminals’ favor as I fear, it will be time to beat on the gun controllers and grabbers with incidents like this.

  12. Not much for men down there I guess when it’s the woman that needs to take control of the situation. Also they must be some of the only people watching the nba finals.

  13. Gates, fences and guns! Oh so scary so racist
They just wanted a better life so share the wealth.
Lol sarcasm off exit stage right to mostly peaceful

  14. Illuminate the front door, check to see who is out there and make sure they aren’t being covered by someone before opening.
    But dahum she is hot.

      • It’s not much different from YouTube.

If you’ve got a lot of viewers advertisers throw you money, just like TV. Why you have the viewers is immaterial to the advertisers other than in terms of the target audience for their products.

  15. They saw her with her gun and she said please don’t shoot me…

Wow. I mean, +1 for at least being a gun owner and grabbing it but wtf. The only thing they should have seen was someone in a shooting stance before they turned and bolted.

I hope these people learn the valuable lesson to carry on body for the rest of their lives.

  16. I can’t believe “inside edition” aired this. Guns used in self defense does not follow the leftists’ / media’s narrative.

    • “I can’t believe “inside edition” aired this. Guns used in self defense does not follow the leftists’ / media’s narrative.”

FINALLY someone around here gets it.

Amazing, but the “rea”l gun peeps around TTAG- you know, the ones that would never miss? Went right past their addled brains.

    • It’s because she’s a hot thot with a gun. They can make an exception when something happens that Corman would probably make a movie about, were he around today.

  17. It sickens me how the need to mention shooting at perpetrators is illegal!!!!! We need to find every liberal judge in the country and put them in cells with those theyve defended while forsaking the OBVIOUS rights of law abiding citizens!!!!!!!

    • Do you meaning shooting at them as they drive down the street getting away is illegal? Well, that’s because it ain’t a movie or a TV show. Where are those bullets going if you miss?

If you shoot at an escaping killer and you miss and kill some innocent person, you will be rightfully charged for murder.

  18. Yes, good thing she was armed but bad thing she and the other adult in the house were very poorly prepared.

Looked like one invader had a drum magazine n a pistol, reeks of Glock.

They came in from off the street, outside the gate. That’s not unusual, seen that tactic in other home invasion videos. They go in when a gate is open for a vehicle.

Incredible good luck with everyone being a piss poor shot on both sides nobody got hit.

  19. Having a gun and being prepared to use it are two very different things. Had she been prepared to use her pistol, there would be two dead or seriously wounded perps and a new FL heroine. She waited until she was fired on, so she wasn’t prepared to shoot. As it stands now, she is only — but happily — a survivor.

She owes her survival to the gun, but not to her commitment to win. She got lucky. I’m glad she got lucky — thrilled, really — but keep it in perspective.

  20. Lots of ?’s First is what is an Instagram model?. Is that something like R rated porn? I would be highly suspicious of an inside job. One or more of the jabbronies sitting on the couching texting the hoodlums that yes everyone is here and you proceed to shake the place down. They just didnt count on the bimbo slinging lead all over the place without any regard to anyone’s life. Doubt she could hit a man sized target at 7yds.

  21. I home carry all of the time. best place to have a gun ready and secure. I also have other options. including using my natural weapons. being aware of your surroundings and who was coming in the door and being ready would have helped. but this was a sticky situation. and we can go on about it all day as to what should have been done.( locked door , other person armed, or … what ever) having another person in the house who got a gun did save the day. so, having more than one person in the house who is also armed does help. although I know it can’t always be done. this would be a good example to use as an exercise to see if a real life solution could be found and put to use to avoid something like this in the future. because this can happen to you.

  22. FFS you bunch of geezers!
The term is cam-whore, and a common platform she was reported to “sell” on is called Onlyfans.
That means it’s more like PPV live request porn.
    You pay, she does.

I’m not going to suggest any sites, but any image search (safesearch set to OFF) featuring the keyword “camgirl” will return 100 lifetimes of video. Warning, many of them should be titled “Oh God please be 18yo”

Did ya’ll just trip over the keyboard, have your grandkids turn the computer on? What?

    • Maybe some of us are not as savvy about hunting down porn on the computer. Are you really bragging about that?

I do have safe search enabled on my computer because I frequently have grand kids in the house.

  23. “Fortunately no one was hurt during the exchange of rounds…”

More fortunate for society would have been if the home invaders\attempted murderers ended up in a morgue

  24. Fortunately no one was hurt during the exchange of rounds. The two thieves grabbed some jewelry and then took off.”

“Not something we would suggest. Shooting at fleeing criminals, no matter what they’ve done, is illegal and opens the defender up to serious charges.”

It’s unfortunate that no one was hurt. The two home invaders should have been hurt. Shooting fleeing criminals should not be a problem. It should be normal.

    • It drives me a bit nuts when they call people like this “thieves”. These guys were armed robbery committing multiple violent felonies. Assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, attempted murder, armed robbery and the like.

It’s almost as though words have no actual meaning these days. Like calling child abductors a “unrequested childcare professionals” or something.
