Brownells’ Website Adds Better Build-A-Bear. Uh, AR-15

Brownells bills itself as “The World’s Largest Supplier of Firearms Supplies and Gunsmithing Tools.” It may not be the catchiest strap-line in the ballistic business, but, like the company’s products, it’ll git ‘er done. (That expression is also done.) Of course, Brownells didn’t get itself into this enviable position by resting on its laurels (which always sounded uncomfortable to me). And so they’ve been working on improving their AR-15 builder sub-site. Damn hard. “Our web team keeps finding new things to make the Builder even more user friendly,” company prez and namesake Pete Brownell pronounced. In fact, they’ve added some 300 new options to the widget and made it actually worth doing (view seven options at a time, as opposed to the previous one). “And with new products coming in constantly [the webmesiters] have been working awfully darn hard to make the web shopping – or just dreaming – experience even better.” And so have we. Look for Don Gammill Jr.’s AR-15 series on TTAG soon, including a visit to the AR-15 Bunker, with video.
