The Biden administration is not trying to address an issue or fix a symptom. It is targeting a phantasm. The president has yet to address fully how to combat the larger issue of illegally acquired firearms used to commit offenses.
Based on the 2016 Survey of Prison Inmates, the Justice Department reported in 2019 that “among prisoners who possessed a gun during their offense, 90% did not obtain it from a retail source.” Read that again. Among those individuals arrested, convicted, and sentenced, 90% of the firearms used in gun-related crimes did not come from legal sources, which include gun shows.
Astoundingly, only 0.8% of prisoners who had a firearm during their offense legally “obtained it at a gun show.” So, less than 1% of all firearms used in gun-related offenses came from gun shows. This is fascinating, seeing that the current administration and congressional majority would have us believe the “gun show loophole” is one area where the plague of gun violence is spawning from and it is just “common sense” to address it. But yet again, the facts show this is an illusion.
What is not an illusion is this: If the Biden administration successfully shoves firearm regulation through Congress or enables it through executive action, Biden will be solely responsible for criminalizing the estimated 72 million people who legally own firearms, as if our prison and legal system weren’t overburdened enough. Gun regulation doesn’t usually mean general gun banning or gun confiscation or criminalizing gun ownership. We’ve had it for 80+ years.

You can not criminalize something that is constitutionally protected… And if the truth be recognized, the government lacks the authority to regulate the firearms industry or to in any way infringe upon a person’s Right to keep and bear arms. Understand that there can be no provision within the original constitution document that the government can rely on for its authority in this area of gun regulation as under our system of law, the terms, conditions and the directives of an amendment override and supersede whatever is in the original document. And in cases of conflict between the two, it is always the terms, conditions and the directives of the amendment that must and shall prevail. This applies in all areas of contract law and it has been the case historically with for example the 18th Amendment ushering in the era of Prohibition which could not be changed or abolished without passing yet another amendment (the 21st Amendment) because the only thing that can alter and change an amendment is another amendment that specifically addresses the same issues. And so absent a constitutional amendment that specifically addresses the provisions of the Second Amendment, its command directive of “Shall NOT be Infringed” remains as the supreme law of the land.

He also has said “nobody needs an assault rifle with a 30 round magazine” and many in the left demean anyone as a “poor hunter” if they need one of those. They’re not stupid nor ignorant. A Semi-Auto rifle with a 30 round mag becomes a 10 round mag, non-detachable becomes tube fed 8 becomes lever or pump only in Rifle/shotguns and wheel guns in pistols. Those all however are pretty much semi auto in dual actions so Dual actions need to be removed to Single action to black powder only. Now, cease the sale of black powder as a possible explosive and no lead because it’s bad for the environment. Don’t worry. the Elites will still have licensing to have the newest, full auto available from anywhere and will be able to buy or manufacture whatever ammunition it takes to keep them safe from the club wielding folks like us. And it will all be constitutional. IF you can afford the licensing and prices YOU can enjoy your 2nd amendment rights. With the great reset though? You’ll own nothing and will be happy with that. IF you’re social credit score doesn’t deprive you of food n water for you and your family.

The argument is never about crime or mass killings. This is why reasoned arguments make zero headway with the left. POTG all seem to think it’s some sort of liberal-gun-owner-club-thing, but in my experience it’s usually LGBT people who just realized that their “side” is messing with a sleeping bear, and they don’t want any part of that. Politicians care about only one thing and that is getting elected. They make their legislative decisions based what they think will be rewarded or punished by the people in their district/state/country. So, yes, there is something you can do about it. Write LTEs to your local paper and try to be persuasive not angry. Get others to do the same. Send letters to your local, state, and federal representatives EVERY time a gun control or freedom enhancing bill is considered. The first thing that is required to become a Dictator is to take all the firearms from the public and make it illegal to own or possess a firearm. The 2nd Amendment was included in the Bill of Rights to prevent any Dictator from every taking power here in the US. Unfortunately the Democrats are attempting to remove the right to own and possess a firearm. DO NOT ALLOW THIS. Who is going to take our firearms? The Cops? No, we and our families all own firearms. The Military? Again no and for the same reason. The UN?
