As I indicated in yesterday’s Digest, the holiday season has left me with more videos than I have time to trickle out one at a time, so I’m going to clear the bilges here with a few all at once. The first one up there is mattv2099 dropping a GLOCK-brand GLOCK 19 barrel into a GLOCK 26. I don’t know why I was surprised that it worked. I shouldn’t have been. Make the jump for the rest. . .
This one’s a little curious-er, firing .40 S&W rounds out of a GLOCK-brand GLOCK 20 (10mm). I suppose it’s good know that it’ll work in a pinch.

Hickok45 takes us on a tour of the FNS-9. I know you’ll be surprised to find out that he likes it.
Jerry Miculek bangs out 5 rounds in 0.8 seconds with a Desert Eagle. I just… there’s really nothing more to say, is there?
And finally, Colion Noir in a short video explaining his love affair with the HK USP 9mm. I’ve only shot a couple HK’s in my life, but they never fail to impress me. They just feel amazingly solid and mechanical. It’s almost like time slows down and you can hear—and more importantly feel—every single metal surface inside camming, moving, engaging and disengaging as the gun cycles. I definitely get why he loves this gun.
.
I use a G32 barrel in a G27 and never had a problem. It actually keeps the end of the slide clean too after shooting, no powder caked on.
I’m surprised more people haven’t thought of that.
Glock discusses converting barrels between .40 cal and .357 Sig in their site’s FAQ section, which reads that it’s basically all right to do. However, there is a caveat in that “earlier models may not qualify for conversion.”
Since I’ve never owned a Glock in either of those calibers, it’s never been an issue for me, but neither do I know how to interpret “may not qualify.” Does it mean in earlier models they’re simply not physically interchangeable, thus preventing you from even attempting it, poke yoke style? Or does it mean you can physically do it, but it won’t yield a firearm safe to fire? It’s really just an academic question for me.
I hope Nick’s FNH affiliation doesn’t influence the review.
Yeesh! bit harsh! hope he gets his shit together though.
Guess I would disagree with some of the posters here on this one. Allowing relaxed gun laws in a country like SA and permitting millions of its citizens to arm themselves would result in a disasterousesly violent melee of bloodletting. Why? Because the citizens of SA are savages in large part. It is not like America. Nor could it ever be for reasons that should be obvious to the eye. And before some weakling calls me a racist, licks his paws, and waits for everyone to tell him how morally superior he is I simply reiterate; Widespread firearm ownership in a place like South Africa would be a disaster. You would have mega-death. Believe otherwise and you are simply ignorant. I’m sorry though that the woman got raped. She didn’t deserve it.
So these people are too stupid to make gun related choices . . . Except for when they elect leaders from among themselves to make gun related choices . . . Then they are very smart?
Well the gun he was using is actually pretty cool and I would like to read a TTAG no bullshit review.
If President Prime Minister Admiral General Haffaz Aladeen were to own one gun, it would be this gun.
But Yakov actually was from the USSR… (I will admit that it was Ukraine and not Russia though)
Exactly how old is the 1911?
Another 1911, what next, an AR15, does look nice though
