    *EVERYBODY* knows that the muzzle blast from 6.5mm Creedmoor destroys everything it touches leaving nothing but molecular ash in it’s wake.

    (*Cough* BULLSHIT *Cough).

    Now, I kinda regret not participating in the Gov’s “6.5mm Creedmoor Week” a while back… 😉

  2. Reads head line — “Muzzle Brake Now Available in 6.5 Creedmoor

    Since when does a muzzle brake chamber a cartridge?

    Do’! How could I forget! a 6.5 Creedmoor shoots a 6.5mm bullet at mach five that will hit a 3″ target in Las Angeles from east Kentucky with only 78.27 MOA of drop!

    • To start you need to be sure the projectile will fit through the brake. From their some companies like this one actually spend the time to calibrate the brake to the gas pressure and velocity that a cartridge produces. Each caliber creates it’s own impulse. Sure you could put a .308 brake on a 6.5, but it won’t be as effective as one tuned to 6.5

      • That’s interesting, I would think to be truly tuned a person would have to stick with one brand of case,with one bullet, one powder, one primer and the velocity variation would have to be very consistent.

      • I’ll admit knew about making sure a bullet can fit through the hole, I did not know calibrated muzzle brakes are thing.

  3. Made a 300 yard shot on a deer yesterday, the guys with me wanted to know what kind of bow I was shooting. “Why Creedmoor of course, with a 6.5 lb draw.”

  4. I wonder how much of that angled ports are effective.
    With long barrel, I don’t think gas will ever hit the optics, but to reduce the effect of the gas on vision is a stretch. Gas goes away faster than recoil and eye readjustment, unless you’re going full auto 6.5 Creedmoor for 1K targets.
