“There’s a lot more to shooting through glass then just pulling  the trigger,” nrablog.com reports with chartacteristic insight. “The glass can redirect the bullet, shatter upon impact or even create an entirely new threat by way of shrapnel. To prove this point, American Firearms Training and Tactics owner Mark Fricke had us shooting through different grades of glass (windshield, window pane, glass doors, etc…) during out Law Enforcement Precision Rifle class to see what happens on impact.” Or just for fun, really.

  1. Huh – I was expecting/hoping for some analysis of what happened with each shot, not merely the sight of glass breaking. Oh well.

  2. What a mess to clean up on the range. All the ranges I have shot at do not allow glass targets because no one wants to clean up after.

  3. Wouldn’t the video be more useful to show how the glass changed where (or if) it alters trajectory of the round? Shoot from a bench show without glass 5 rounds, and then 4 rounds for each type of glass?

  4. It’s fun to watch glass break, but there was no “interesting” content here. Guess we’ll have to take the class to see what was so interesting about it.
