Who will be the first to correctly identify this lineup of rifle calibers? Of note is where the “high-powered” AR-15 “assault rifle” round finds itself in this showing of usual and not-so-usual suspects. …This went up yesterday on some of TTAG’s social media, so no cheating…

    • I am with you except for the last 3. I think these are .338 lapua, either a .375 or .408 cheytach and then .50 BMG

      Reply
      • Those last 3 are bigger rounds than I want to shoot at this stage of my life. And way more expensive than I want to pay for.

    • Watched Commando the other day, caught something I never noticed before…Ahnold closes his eyes every time he squeezes off a round.

      • Well yeah. It would be unfair to the bad guys if he used the sights while he was fighting. He’s gonna kill eleventy billion in every encounter even with his eyes closed.

  7. Should have also put a .30-06 so that lesser knowledged liberal media folks could associate a WW2 US Army cartridge with the present ones.

    • If you got #9 right, then I think you got them all.

Except for the type on #2 (WTH is a 5.55mm?).
But I think the .223 prefix saves you, there.

    • If #9 is the .375 CheyTac (vs. the .408), then I think you got them all.

I’ll ignore the 5.55 typo (the .223 prefix saves you, IMO).

    • Bingo!

Elliott was super close, and Andrew Lias psyched himself out on the .223 and could have had it otherwise haha. These are just rounds that were in my basement so nothing too terribly weird.

      Official list:

      .22 WMR
      .223 Remington
      .300 AAC Blackout
7.62×39 (too bad I didn’t have a brass case one)
      .308 Winchester
      .303 British
      7.62x54R
      .338 Lapua Magnum

        • Had to research it myself, never heard of it. What a crazy caliber.

hey Jeremy, I have some stuff here I could throw together for another one of these. Probably a very ecclectic mix of misc laying around both pistol and rifle. Probably nothing as cool as that but some dead calibers too.

  12. The .375 and .22 mag threw me off. At first glance I assumed it was a semi jacketed .357 but after reading the comments it became obvious it was .22 mag. I had no clue about the .375.
