“What I want is the second amendment. We the people, free individuals, to have the right to keep and bear arms for self defense. Find fault with that.”

    • I’ve yet to see anyone make a better no-compromises argument than he has on several occasions. He has his facts straight, his sources ready to be listed, and a completely reasonable agenda. It’s very hard for the media to twist that, which is what we need.

    • As opposed to someone who goes on stage with a skin-tight star-spangled leotard?

Despite that, I find it harder to take Piers Morgan seriously… (or CNN in general, doesnt that stand for Cartoon News Network?)

    • I don’t know cigr. If I was walking through the woods and some guy wearing nothing but a loincloth came up to me, I’d take him pretty damn seriously, because there is a pretty good chance he might be Tarzan about to whoop my ass.

  1. cigr, really?

I don’t think one can find a better person that Ted to articulate the 2nd Amendment, not with the passion he brings.

  2. I LOVE good ole UNCLE TED, and he’ll always tell you exactly what’s on his mind without pulling any punches.

  3. Ted is a lot of things, but he is very articulate on the second amendment. Apparently he avoided frying anywhere near as many brain cells as Ozzy Osborn, or Joe Walsh during his rocking and rolling. He comes to a debate well informed, with controlled passion and a pretty good set of debate skills.

    • His rocking and rolling did not include drugs. Uncle Ted is against intoxication and his life is an open book on the subject.

  4. I kinda dislike the self defense argument, 2a is about defending our country from enemies both foreign and domestic. Don’t get me wrong self defense is probably the second best reason for 2a, but its not the original reason for existence

    • Your country is made up of you, your family, and your countrymen. Therefore, defending your country IS defending yourself.

  5. Lest we forget “2A” is a part of a document that protects your rights/life from any and this standing goverment and reminds each of us of our resposibility to freedom. IT DOES NOT GIVE US ANY RIGHTS/LIFE, WE ARE BORN WITH THEM. 2A is written as two(2) objectives, both being our rights and our responsibility, both having need of each other: objective 1 is the right and responsibility to join to together and fight for/defend freedom and objective 2 is the right and responsibility to keep and bear arms(and knowing that the writers of the constitution were language men, the two words “keep” and “bear” are there with all their definitions). With out objective 2 there is no objective 1, and without objective 1 there will be no objective 2. The writers kept all other language out of 2a so that these two(2) objectives could not be misunderstood and infringed upon. Simple as that.

Ted has it right and always had. Its a hard course live 2a and to protect 2a:
VOTE THEM OUT ! DEATH TO ALL WHO WISH/ACT TO TAKE IT AWAY!

    ROCK ON 2ND AMENDMENT

  6. I prefer that we never engage with gungrabbers, but if we must, I don’t think that 2A could have a better advocate than Nugent.

Popular culture defines American thought, not the works of scholars. The far left has always understood that, and advances its agenda through careful manipulation of popular media, like film and TV. Ted Nugent has probably done more good for 2A than John Lott ever could because Nuge lives in that world, while Lott rarely visits. He’s also unafraid to tell leftist extremists to piss up a rope, a sentiment in which I concur.

My favorite Nugism: If guns kill people, all of mine must be defective.
