Malone is about 14 miles northwest of Mountain View, where another cabin was burglarized.” One down, one to go.

Where’s the protest? Got my scanner app ready.

  2. avatar SD3 says:

Rack up another victim of gun violence. When will the madness end?

    1. avatar Patrick says:

Ask the guy he murdered and chopped into pieces how much of a victim this pos was. Oh, you can’t.

      1. avatar BlueBronco says:

The sarcasm parted your hair. Did you feel a breeze as it went over your head?

      2. avatar Another Robert says:

Lots of malfunctioning sarcasm detectors lately, I think.

    2. avatar steve nast says:

are you seriously sympathizing with a murderer?! there is no room for people like this in this country. put their name on a bullet, and give it to them at 2000 feet per second.

      1. avatar davidx says:

Yikes, the sarcasm meters must be way off tonight.

  3. avatar neiowa says:

If he’d only know to yell “Don’t shoot we just want to get married. Its all love”.

Obumer would have given them a prize.

  4. avatar Bob109 says:

But he was turning his life around….a gentle giant. (I couldn’t resist.)

  5. avatar davidx says:

Rumors abound that his handgun was not registered and his license was expired.

    1. avatar Gary McClenny says:

Sorry, it was an unregistered 20 gauge shotgun. Police said we told him to put his hands up and he refused so we killed him.

  6. avatar JWM says:

Stuck on stupid to the very end. Gotta love the consistency.

  7. avatar JackieO says:

This was part of the dark half of the plan. You didn’t think either of them intended to be taken back alive, did you? Ida Lupino over Mad Dog Earle’s body ” what does it mean to crash out?” It means your free.

  8. avatar Ralph says:

    He can’t breathe.

    1. avatar Geoff PR says:

      His hands were up.

  9. avatar Brett says:

Now, did the police shoot to kill, or to stop the threat?

    1. avatar Ralph says:

I have it on good authority that all of the 156 rounds the cops fired at Richard Matt were intended to stop the threat. And one of them did.

      1. avatar JasonM says:

But how many dogs did they kill during the take down?

  10. avatar Frank says:

Dude just went out for Skittles and iced tea. Ain’t no reason to kill him.

  11. avatar Vitsaus says:

So was he armed? I have not seen any reports indicating that he was.

    1. avatar JackieO says:

State Police Major said a couple days ago, “They ASSUME they are armed”

    2. avatar Hannibal says:

Doesn’t matter. An escaped convicted felon does not have the same protections as a fleeing suspect under TN. v. Garner.

    3. avatar Gary McClenny says:

Police say he was in possession of a 20 gauge shotgun.

  12. avatar FortWorthColtGuy says:

I wonder if he was killed by an officer with a NY defined assault weapon. I hear they are terrible for self defense, underpowered for hunting, over powered for everything else and scary looking. I would hate to learn he was scared while being shot.

    1. avatar Mark Lloyd says:

Would it just break your f—- heart?

That guy was one bad dude. There was little doubt that he wasn’t going to be taken alive.
You can bet he made sure of it and the cops knew that was coming.

  13. avatar Former Water Walker says:

Are you sure this isn’t part of the weekend photo contest? “He was just turning his life around”…

  14. avatar paul says:

“probably had his hands up” .” probably shot him down like a dog”.” probably shot him in the back”
    . good,
should have been on death row and executed a long time ago.
    likewise his cohort.

  15. avatar Yngvar says:

The one to go will be killed too. The Complex doesn’t want any testimony to how the prison was run.

    1. avatar Joe says:

Should let him go in your bedroom.

  16. avatar Mark Lloyd says:

You just know if it wasn’t the New York State Police who took him out, they are just livid about it.

  17. avatar UpinVT says:

Local news said it was a Border Patrol agent from Vermont.

    1. avatar davidx says:

Border Patrol “tactical unit” allegedly. Wrong guys for these bozos to run into.

  18. avatar MKK says:

Never trusted a guy with two first names.

  19. avatar Indiana Tom says:

One down, one to go. Too bad, as these clowns provided first class entertainment along with the Keystone Cops.

  20. avatar Reef Blastbody says:

I’m glad it was a BorTac team that got him, and not the state police. I imagine he might’ve been taken down earlier if Cuomo had kept his fingers out of it.

    1. avatar Roscoe says:

      Some deflated egos, I think.

      Good on the PAs.

  21. avatar Gary McClenny says:

Evaded capture while hiding out in a cabin used by the prison guards. Manhunt involving tens of thousands of police from multiple jurisdictions over a three week period. Could not find him. Citizen finds him. Now, don’t you feel much safer knowing that only the police and military should be armed?

  22. avatar Bob109 says:

Didn’t anyone tell this escaped prisoner that as a felon, he cannot legally have a gun. 🙂

  23. avatar GS650G says:

Look at the money saved now that he’s room temperature. Brutal murderers like this one should just be put down.

  24. avatar Gregolas says:

    He shouldn’t have run.
    He just died tired.

  25. avatar Rich K. says:

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Hopefully his fellow escapee will get the same treatment. Then there will be two fewer worthless scumbags to live on American tax dollars for life.

    1. avatar davidx says:

Yeah, but unfortunately it looks like there will be at least two prison employees taking their places. And I’d have them serve the same sentences these two swine were serving.

  26. avatar Waco Biker says:

Three shots to the head. Looks like an execution.
