“The morning of the first day of recall voting in the John Morse recall election in Colorado Springs, CO (yesterday) one of our livestream cameras got video of two guys taking pro-recall yard signs,” revealingpolitics.com reports. “It’s important to note that these signs were outside the 100 ft. electioneering prohibition zones that are set up around the entrance of every voting location. Check out our livestreaming all day and use the hashtag #revealingrecall on twitter to stay in the loop.” As Chris Matthews likes to say, “let’s play hardball.” In this particular place for politics, a successful recall of CO’s two pro-gun control pols would send a chilling message to disarmament Dems looking to touch the third rail in American politics. Again. Still. [h/t SS]

  1. Would have been awesome if a few guys w scary black rifles confronted them and held them until po-po came

    • Spears. Terrifying, and no chance of a magazine check.

They’d be far too brown-trousered to shout “See! You don’t need guns!”

    • Morse has no moral high ground on this. He openly invited and asked for out of state money and resources so he could stay in office. Just to use the same argument he’s attempting to use; he’s gone next year, if he would have left office immediately, he could have singularly saved his constituents in $1,000,000 in taxpayer money.

Get both of them out out out.

    • The anti-2A people never had the moral high ground to begin with. There is nothing moral about our right violating the 2A

  2. Whats even worse is the two up for recall helped to change who can vote where in Colorado. All you have to do now is have intent to move into the district to vote. http://bringinthevote.com/ Now the winner will be whoever can bus in the most voters…

  3. I’d do the same thing to opposition signs, so i can’t really blame him. When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.

    • I get where you are coming from, and we should not be afraid to call them out clearly. But remember, the Progressive movement is about destroying the current system. Lawlessness, even in service to a good cause, plays into their hands.

Now, who wants to bet against those two sign snatchers being on the clock (at time and a half) for some union?

      • Being as I am a union employee in this very district, I feel like we’re throwing blame where its not needed. Don’t punish the many for the few.

        • I applaud your civil reply, ’tis a rarity to see on most blogs I read.

This blog is one of the most civil on the ‘net

          Just my $.02

        • I support peoples’ ability to bargain collectively if that’s what they want to do. Heck, in many States people have no choice if they want to work in certain fields/places.

That said, when I was a good grad school liberal, two of my wake-up calls came from talking to people at protests. One, in particular, had a very rowdy and vocal faction of people who were (I thought) doing more harm than good. Turns out they were paid and bussed in by a union. A couple I talked to didn’t even know why they were there. I haven’t found this to be unusual in the decades since, now that I’ve been paying attention. That, plus the fact that the unions fill the war chest of the Progressive movement, means that feeding the beast is bad for America.

So, what could be simple and productive bargaining organizations have all too often deteriorated into shake-down gangs. As to your particular situation, you would know better than I.

  4. Here in Nevada ,that’s called THEFT and is punishable by fine and possible jail term or both.Citizens have the right to make a citizens arrest. You may detain til police arrive.Since we are an open carry state you may ,without brandishing ,allow the suspects to observe that you are armed. You also may recover YOUR property from the suspects with proof of ownership. If however the suspects choose to vanquish the immediate area you have NO duty to follow or physically touch. You can question and obtain names and addresses.
I believe it is in the pro gun ‘best interest ‘ to protect these signs with a physical presence.

  5. Who’d a thunk it? The antis are lying, cheating and stealing…..all while claiming the moral high ground.

      • Well, raw democracy can and often does lead to the tyranny of the majority, (“Tax the rich!”) which is yet another reason why 2A is so vitally important to a society of Free people.

“Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner. Freedom is a well-armed sheep.”
        — not anonymous, I just don’t remember who exactly said it first.

  6. Why did she not confront them and tell them they were on tape and get their reaction. There is no way I could have sat there and said nothing. It is illegal. You got it on tape, big deal, if you do nothing about it you might as well not bother.

  7. If she had confronted them, They might have pulled out thier GUNS and shot her…
    John Az
Oh yeah they don’t believe in Guns & self defence

  8. I used to live across the street from the local polling place. My signs were stolen on more than one occasion, so I had the candidate park a small flatbed trailer in my driveway, and on that trailer was a huge campaign sign. Near the campaign sign was a smaller “no trespass” sign with the silhouette of a shotgun. End of theft.

No, I wouldn’t shoot some stupid a-h0le for stealing a campaign sign, but they didn’t know that.

  9. What cracks me up is that in today’s day and age campaign signs are fretted about so much. IMHO…If I get to Election Day and choose to vote for a candidate based on “signage” instead of research and vetting I’m failing myself and my country…. But alas these signs are important… As you were…

  10. Crike.

The Amerikan Statist Party sure lives down to their acronym.

You can bet that had anyone snatched any pro-Morse placards it’d be the lead headline everywhere.

Grabbers are so low that when you bury one of them, you have to dig upward.

    Bunch o’ sh¡ts.
