i don’t like grip safeties.ymmv.
I like the grip safety on a weapon without any other safety and a fairly low effort trigger. Then again, I own an XD9, and I have had no problem with the grip safety–ever. You hardly know it is there. A glock can be fired without someone holding on to it, a Springfield cannot.
I like a drop safety. That’s all.
bought my HS2000 for $320 back in early 2000s
It’s like the XD but even better! 😮
Yes, I have heard of the HS2000, that’s why I’m not a fan of the XD9. Nobody wanted the HS2000 when it cost $280. Springfield renamed it “Xtreem, dude!”, dumped a bunch of money into advertising, jacked up the price to cover the cost of marketing, and suddenly every d-bag with frosted tips wanted one.
The HS2000 had some issues, I can’t remember if it was feeding or ejection. Springfield fixed the issue when they took over distribution.
I have never experience a problem, nor even noticed the grip safety regardless of what position I shot. I have carried XDs for about 10 years without issue
I knew the XD was “based on” the HS2000. I wasn’t aware that it was the same damn gun.
The more you know.
Yep I knew that and I love my xd.
Slow news day?
I thought everybody knew this.
I’ve had an XD9 for 5 years and I love it. The XD is based on the HS2000 but Springfield did make modifications. It is a great gun.
And while they can no longer be had for $300ish, an XD9 service (4″) or subcompact (3″), if you shop, can be found for $400-450. Still not a bad bargain for a no-frills but dead-nuts reliable defensive handgun.
i got the hs 2000 and its nice i bought it for a great price no complaints i love the safety on it
That appears to be one of the early HS2000s – I have one that I bought in 2001 that has the more aggressive slide serrations and the accessory rail under the barrel.
I had my ffl order it because of an ad placed in Shotgun News (or maybe it was in CDNN’s catalog?) and all told I walked out the door with it for less than $300.
My penis gets fully erect reading all these “manly” comments, I’m high on Vicodin and I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a good tranny/shemale sight that’s good for jerking off – I get so fucking hard looking at Bailey Jay’s rock-hard cock.
