Everyday Carry Pocket Dump of the Day: Pick Five. Any Five. Just Five! [MUSIC]

Here’s hoping that Politico doesn’t work for Politico, one of the most virulent anti-gun websites on the ‘net. His or her everydaycarry.com pocket dump indicates otherwise — there’s no copy of Mao’s little red book. But there is  . . .

everything else. Mind you I’d carry a whole bunch of clobber if I could. Texas heat makes that impractical. So I generally restrict my EDC load out to, well, I’m not going to tell you. Not for reasons of operational security.

Because I want to know what five items would you carry if you could only carry five? Including everything. (Got inhaler?) Ready? Go!

  2. If I carried all that I’d need a good belt AND suspenders! Mine is lockback knife, cell phone, Little 9mm Ruger and keys, wallet and pocket change. Oh and extra mag. never an issue when packing a .9mm*.

  3. wow i would hate to go eat with this guy. probably takes him 20 minutes to pick something.

“i don’t fear the man who practices 1000 kicks, i fear the man who has practiced 1 kick 1000 times”
concepts like that are obviously lost on people like this guy.

  5. Ok, granted having duplicate knives and flashlights is a bit much…BUT, if you’re saying that at most an EDC should be made up of five items, and we assume that most people carry at least a phone (item #1), a wallet (#2), and keys (#3), then how do we pick between two of the other three recommended items that multiple articles on this very website have said are damn near necessities; a gun, a knife, and a flashlight?

    I don’t carry duplicates of anything but my carry isn’t much less cluttered;

    1) Phone
    2) Wallet
    3) Keys
    4) Pistol (wherever I can)
    5) Knife
    6) Flashlight
    7) Multitool
    8) Pen
    9) Lighter
    10) Sunglasses

And yeah, I wear cargo pants a lot. But it’s my choice and I’ve figured out how to do it comfortably, and everything I carry is either something I use on a daily basis (phone/wallet/keys/flashlight/multitool/pen/lighter/sunglasses), or things I’d rather have and not need than need and not have (pistol/knife)

  6. I always carry pistol s&w 9 or 40, keys with my 1.5 inch blade attached, wallet with credit card survival card inside, knife varying lengths, and tactical pen

  7. Like a lot of others here have said, I carry more than five items. I wouldn’t carry less. My loaded shoulder holster counts as six items on it’s own.
