Simple. I like it.
Very nice – especially considering it’s similar to my setup! I like the 124 grain HST +P, although I have a lot of standard pressure rounds as well. I notice a bit more noise and recoil, but I also notice an increase in velocity.
I used to be a 124+p guy. But, moved over the 147 standard pressure loads….
The noise was the part which sold me in the end. I figure, if I need to pull my smoke wagon in a DGU, I am not wearing ear pro.
So, I don’t want to blow out my ears anymore than necessary.
I carried a spyderco with a vg-10 blade for several years while stationed in Mississippi. The humidity and summer heat resulted in drenched-with-sweat clothing, especially when working outside. That blade never showed a spot of rust, and I probably only oiled/cleaned it every 6mo; I was very impressed.
I noticed a lot of folks carry larger mags as a spare.
Just a word to the wise, I used to di the same thing and it can cause issues. During a training class, I kept having issues with the extended mags.
Nothing catastrophic, but things which you don’t want happening in a gun fight. Especially, if you are reloading, which already means bad news bears.
It is literally impossible to overinsert a glock magazine (at least for all the double stacks). See the following video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=90&v=DXohG9HfR1M
The malfunctions came from extended mag rocking around and causing a jamming.
I didn’t mean necessarily the reload (over insert) is the issue.
Ryan, that is an excellent summer carry, I would personally add a weapon light but thats its. All the bases covered quite nicely! Good to see such a well put together edc
