Brownells is one of my most preferred vendors. They’re easy to deal with, if I don’t like something I can return it, no questions asked. Their “Edge” program cuts my shipping costs.
When I have a gunsmithing issue, often one of “where can I find X?” I give ’em a call and ask. Sometimes, they refer me to someone else they know.
They’re good people.
Brownell’s has been selling guns for a while now. They had Gen 3 Glock 19 for $499 with a $75 dollar Brownell gift card. I have never seen a better offer on a new Glock.
I will stick with Buds. Haven’t seen better prices on a consistent basis, or quicker shipping times.

Profit margins aren’t exactly fat in new gun sales, Does Brownells have a bunch of staff on hand with too little to do?
Meanwhile, Smith & Wesson and Ruger stock prices are down 15%.
My local FFL is part of a dealer network, so you can browse their distributor inventory online. The prices are REALLY competitive (always lower than Cabela’s, Sportsman’s, and soon probably Brownells), and it ships to your nearest dealer with no hassle.
This is definitely the future of buying firearms.
It’s the future of buying NEW firearms – the margins on which are getting compressed down to tin-foil levels of thin.
I live about an hour from their Grinnell distribution center. Their gun showroom is very nice. I walked in there a couple months ago and bought a Ruger 10/22, but not before pawing their offerings from IWI, (Tavor, Desert Eagle) FN (PS90, FN Five-Seven) and Sig Sauer. They’ve got a really nice selection, and their handgun kiosks are all separated by make, e.g. all Smith & Wesson at one Kiosk, all Beretta at another. They didn’t have much CZ stuff, though.
