Blue Force Gear Quote of the Day: Lack of Self Awareness Edition

John Hinckley Jr., the would-be assassin who tried to shoot Pres

“Wow, is that how people see me? I have these other aspects of my life that no one knows about. I’m an artist, I’m a musician. Nobody knows that. They just see me as the guy who tried to kill Reagan.” – John Hinckley Jr. in How John Hinckley Lives Now [at]

  1. avatar Priest of the center mass says:

    Yea…..pretty much!
Try to kill an American president and kiss your rear end goodbye pal!
    Is this db for real?
    I’m an artist……whatever…..your a nutjob.
    Live in jail.reflect on stupidity.

    1. avatar David T says:

He lives with his mommy and daddy. That’s why he has time to do arts and crafts. If anyone at all pays attentions to his art, it is BECAUSE he was a president-shooting lunatic.

Good luck with all your contributions to society Johnny.

  2. avatar RockOnHellChild says:

    Choices have consequences…

  3. avatar Stateisevil says:

    A bush patsy?

    1. avatar Alinsky says:

The Bushs are Baker Flunkees, they are NOT the heads of anything. Baker picked Cheney to actually run things while Dubya was the puppet.

      1. avatar David T says:

I think your translator failed you. Try google translate next time.

Also, how exactly was Vice President’s 35 year-old son a puppet in the Reagan administration?

  4. avatar Stephen J says:

Charles Manson is an artist, musician, and the well established community leader of a female outreach program. People just remember him for that whole crazy “pigs” thing those girls got him into, and that judge was eyeing him funny.

  5. avatar Andrew Lias says:

Perhaps he is an aspiring rapper looking to turn his life around.

  6. avatar Sean in MT says:

I think someone should tell him that Charles Schumer and George Soros have been double-teaming Jodie Foster for the past 35 years.

    1. avatar Smoke Jensen says:

      Ok, that made me chuckle.

    2. avatar Tom in Oregon says:

Almost woke the house up laughing. That was hilarious!

    3. avatar Priest of the center mass says:

    4. avatar Rusty Chains says:

Now that was funny! Thank you!

    5. avatar Clay says:

      Hahahahaaaaaaa!!! Internet won.

    6. avatar Geoff PR says:

“…Charles Schumer and George Soros have been double-teaming Jodie Foster for the past 35 years.”

I suppose it’s *possible* whack-job Hinckley is what turned Foster gay.

      (I am so mean…)

  7. avatar Milsurp Collector says:

Isn’t this the fruitcake who had an unhealthy obsession with Jodie Foster?

    1. avatar Lew says:

Yes.if I remember correctly, he said that his motivation was to impress her.

      1. avatar Katy says:

Which raises a question – with both Trump and Clinton so polarizing (Bernie less so), and especially Trump with the animalistic protests he has been drawing, should we be worried about someone trying to impress the celebrity of their choice? Tossing in the number of the famous types that likely oppose Trump, seems less far-fetched.

Of course, I was the fool that expected Bubba to take a shot at Obama because a Colored was living in the White’s House, so I might be wrong and just a little paranoid. Hopefully I think too little of Granola Bob as well.

  8. avatar C.S. says:

What you are now experiencing is the projected inner fear of gun control advocates…

  9. avatar Alinsky says:

This jerk gave us the Brady Crapola.

    Next time use a machete.

  10. avatar Ralph says:

If it’s true that you are what you eat, John Hinckley Jr. is fertilizer.

Besides, if he really wanted to impress Jodie Foster, he should have worn a dress.

  11. avatar ActionPhysicalMan says:

Reminds me of something ole English Bob said once.

  12. avatar Joe R. says:

    He’s a nefarious operator for someone. (D), CIA, who the f knows, either way, he’s a jacked-up liberal (D).
HOW do you take a pawn shop snub nose to war on a sitting US President and you still get supervised visits home (because he shot a Conservative), and can request unsupervised travel. Why did Bobby Kennedy’s killer get time again?

Hinkley used pawn shop snub nose and scored essentially a record number of hits, shot Brady in the head, and a torso vitals shot on Reagan, when, I would bet, half of Reagan’s SS detail could’ve shot as well, or hit Hinkley as many times in that dx in that amount of time.

I’ll make sure I tell my great grandkids what a great example of (D) Hinkley is, and how the liberal papers and news holes were dishing for him so as to try to rehab his image. FDAT.

  13. avatar Pond Avenue says:

Fascinating article. I bet the taxpayers have spent $100 Million on this POS over the last 34 years. His liberal therapists have allowed this nonsense. Jail. No key. Period.

  14. avatar MikeJH121 says:

WELL DUH!!! What an absolute moron. As are the Libtards who support this nonsense. If you feel like a girl with the wrong plumbing, that’s okay. If you need to B&E to steal ’cause you needs stuff you can’t otherwise afford, that’s okay. Let killers out on furloughs then suprise they kill again, then you scream racist. Being a Lib/Progressive/Commie/Socialist/lefty is a mental disease.

Why not then allow for those with a mental disease to be seen as normal because you think you are normal. Those who want to keep their liberty and freedoms are messed up in the head to these wackos. The only sad thing is the left was not saddened by the shooting. They were sad because Reagan lived.

Wave the bloody shirts and the Brady wheelchairs around and steal the liberty of the law abiding. If it saves just one…blah blah. Yet abortion and Government supported genocides have killed more by far then will ever be killed any other way. Up to maybe 120 million.

Well I guess us gun toting nutjobs just have to work harder. We got some catching up to do.

We do not want to jail climate change deniers, they do. We Want freedom of speech, they don’t. We want to keep our guns to protect oursleves, our families and maybe our nation, they don’t.

No where does it mention sport shooting or deer hunting. We need commone sense politician control. If is saves just one tax dollar.

Hinkley needs a hobby, how about let him play some music for ISIS. And read them poetry.

  15. He kind of looks like a porked up Jeb Bush.

  16. avatar Dev says:

So people don’t believe in our criminal justice system? You don’t think that people who are convicted of crimes and then served out their sentence are finished and need to be punished beyond what was issued? And here I thought most of the TTAG readers wer pro-freedom.

    1. avatar Lew says:

You have a very good point….but I think it’s fair to say that alot of criminals have not truely paid their debt to society when they are freed. Our system is way to lenient. If you are convicted of a murder, then you should get the chair….or if you molest or rape, you should get the chair. Hinckley should be jacked up just like Brady…

    2. avatar Viktyr Gehrig says:

Thank you for this. Not everyone can be rehabilitated, but everyone deserves the chance. Hinckley was a sick man, but his doctors say he’s better now– that it’s safe to allow him to rejoin society. It’s not right to cage a man who is no longer a danger to himself and others.

  17. avatar LHW says:

Why is this man not rotting in prison?

  18. avatar Carl in Alaska says:

I see this huge cartoon mouse hunched over an artist table drawing a dragster and saying ‘Who gives a RAT’S ass?’

  19. avatar Warren says:

Reminds me of an old joke…

“See that bridge over there? I built it. But do they remember me as Seamus the bridge builder? No. See that house? I built it. But do they remember me as Seamus the house builder? No. But you screw one goat…”
