FBI Director Christopher Wray must be frustrated. He issued one of the strongest terrorism warnings earlier this week, but few seemed to notice and even fewer seemed to care. Instead, the legacy media remained fixated on the testimony of former special counsel Robert K. Hur, who concluded that Joe Biden committed multiple federal crimes but was too incompetent to stand trial. While Hur’s findings were certainly newsworthy, they were not news. Most of the country already knew Old Yeller’s best days are behind him.

Wray’s warning, however, was dire. He told the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence that known or suspected terrorists were infiltrating the country across the wide-open southern border using counterfeit documents. One of the smuggling networks, he said, has ties to ISIS. Add to this the thousands of unknown border crossers from countries that hate us, and the more than 80,000 military-age males from China, and you have a terrorist hellbroth just waiting to bubble over.

“The threats from homegrown violent extremists that is jihadist-inspired, extremists, domestic violent extremists, foreign terrorist organizations and state-sponsored terrorist organizations all being elevated at one time since October 7, though, that threat has gone to a whole other level,” Wray said. “And so, this is a time I think for much greater vigilance.”

We should thank Director Wray for his timely information and for his candor. This is precisely why we have fought so long and so hard to restore our Second Amendment rights, so that law-abiding Americans no longer have to bend a knee and beg the Crown to sell them back their constitutional rights in the form of a permit to carry defensive arms. Constitutional carry levels the playing field, making it easier for the good guys and gals to lawfully carry arms.

In the 29 states that now offer some form of constitutional carry, when a terrorist rears their ugly head – be they a card-carrying ISIS member or a lone-wolf jihadist – Americans can take immediate action without waiting for First Responders to arrive, assess the situation, plan and then respond.

Time and time again, we have seen how judicious marksmanship can end a madman’s murderous plans.

  • In 2015, an off-duty police officer shot two home-grown terrorists who were trying to gain entry to an exhibit at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, which featured images of Muhammad. ISIL (the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) took credit for the attack – their first upon American soil.
  • In 2019, 71-year-old Jack Wilson dropped a 43-year-old shotgun-wielding madman, who had fatally shot two parishioners at the West Freeway Church of Christ in a Fort Worth suburb, with a single round to the head.
  • In 2022, Elisha Dicken fired 10 rounds from his Glock at a madman who was shooting people inside an Indiana shopping mall. Eight of Dicken’s rounds struck the bad guy, who was 40-yards away. Dicken was carrying his Glock lawfully because of Indiana’s recently enacted constitutional carry law.

Despite these and many lesser-known examples, the left and the legacy media they control still consider an armed response by a private citizen a fantasy. Instead, they continue to push the laughable Run, Hide, Fight response.

One of the most important lessons learned after last year’s Hamas attacks is that terrorists are capable of much better planning than most thought possible, especially when paired with a state sponsor such as Iran. There is no reason not to believe a terrorist group would be even more prepared for an attack on American soil. Their target analysis will likely include the possibility of armed opposition. In other words, the terrorists are more likely to focus on a target where concealed carry is heavily regulated if not impossible, and civilians have no option other than to run, hide or fight.

Despite our misgivings about the FBI and how it has been weaponized by the Biden-Harris administration, Wray’s warning should not go unheeded. However, now is not the time for paranoia. The main goal of terrorism is to terrorize. They want us to overreact, change our lifestyle and curtail our own freedoms.

Instead, use the time Wray has given us to service or upgrade your EDC. Replace batteries. Re-confirm zero. Buy those extra mags you’ve wanted. Most importantly, go to the range and train. Shoot up your old defensive ammo and replace it with new.

There are 21 states that do not offer any form of constitutional carry, including several that make it nearly impossible for law-abiding Americans to defend themselves. This will prove to be a deadly mistake and it must change. Once your EDC is prepped, please help make that change.

Constitutional carry saves lives and it should be the law of the land. Every American should enjoy their God-given right of self-defense, regardless of where they live. It may be the only thing that saves Americans when the next inevitable attack occurs on our soil.

    • Everyone should read that book, “Day of Wrath” by William Forstchen author of “One Second After” & “One Year After” and prepare accordingly, well everyone but “Deludeian” and “69-ing Minors” as they would take it as a primer on how to oppose us.

      • Thanks for mentioning “Day of Wrath”, I am reading it now. Somehow, I missed this books release, nearly 10 years ago. Probably because I was in Iraq in 2014, dealing with the ISIS situation.

        • I read it at the release, and it’s not an easy or ‘fun’ read.

          But it’s critical every American reads it, as it lays out in gruesome detail just how a multi-pronged attack by motivated true-believer scumbags would go down… 🙁

    • The fastest and most sure-fire way of shutting down “The 2A only applies to muskets” is to point out that in that case, to be logically-consistent, the 4th amendment only applies to searches of your personal papers, written by hand with ink, not your cellphone or laptop.

      Then tell them to hand over their unlocked laptop and cellphone to you so you can see their browser history and contact list.

      After all, if they’re not doing anything wrong, they have nothing to hide, right?

    • We’re dealing with looney tunes whose main play is word games, let’s keep ourselves out of that crap. We certainly do NOT have a right to an AR-15! We have a right to buy one, to own one, to carry one, to defend ourselves with one, but today’s language says a right to one means someone else is somehow required to give us one. There is no free lunch, we have a right to earn the money and pay a dealer for one, not to go to a court and demand that dealer (or anyone else) give it to us for free.

  10. The time has come to begin carrying a serious rifle in your vehicle, if you are able to do so legally. Two or three spare standard size magazines should be included, along with a trauma kit. If you can’t use the latter, someone else may be able.

    It might also be a good idea to remain in your right frame of mind, even at home. Pare back on the alcohol and/or other mind altering substances, if you are so inclined to use such chemicals. You never know when and where the unthinkable will happen

    As far as I can tell, Director Wray is a dyed-in-the-wool supporter of the Democrat Party and I cannot, for the life of me, see how he would issue such a statement which clearly undermines Democrats’ deeply cherished “open border” objective.

    If Wray is a Democrat supporter, why would he issue such a statement? If Wray is NOT a Democrat supporter, why hasn’t the Biden administration fired him?

    The only possible way that I can explain how Wray would be a Democrat supporter and the Biden administration would NOT fire him is if the Democrat Party intends for Wray’s statement to advance support for a greater surveillance/police state while somehow NOT eroding support for their “open border” nonsense.

    Am I wrong on any of those points? Am I missing something?

      • Hmm. I doubt that Bush would appoint a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat to Director of the FBI. Sounds like I was wrong on my take on Wray as a Democrat supporter: instead he is a Conservative who decided that he had to warn the masses even if it meant losing his job?

        I may have an explanation. I seem to remember hearing from some place that the federal Executive Branch almost never replaces a sitting FBI Director to reflect their current political party–instead opting for continuity of leadership regardless of which party occupies the White House. If that is correct, then the Biden administration would be reluctant to replace Wray. And since the legacy media Democrat Party Propaganda Apparatus dutifully runs interference for Democrats, the Democrat Party probably figures that Wray’s recent pronouncements will not significantly damage their ability to realize their objectives since he won’t get any significant traction in the Press.

        • Wray has been a terrible director from day one. At this point, the main goal of a good, moral director has to be reforming the FBI. Wray is a very pro-regime neocon. Notice how the anti-Trump “Republicans” are all connected to the Bush Administrations.

  13. For reference, if there are terrorists in our nation and they are serious about attacking us, I have to think that their attack would be so significant that a citizen armed with a handgun will be nothing more than a speed bump.

    For example: it is easy to imagine terrorists assembling a five-man team armed with semi-automatic rifles who proceed to storm a location. In that scenario that five man team is almost guaranteed to promptly neutralize one or two citizens armed with nothing more than handguns.

    In that previous scenario, the only way that I can picture an armed citizen accomplishing anything would be putting on his/her “sniper” hat and proceeding to pick-off one or MAYBE two terrorists before the terrorists send a hail of bullets in the defender’s direction. At that point all the terrorists would have to do is advance on the defender from multiple directions and the defender is toast unless the defender retreats–at which point the defender is now ineffective.

    • That same person would die with or without his/her handgun. If they can kill or wound one hostile they have done some good. Sometimes you are just in a no win scenario.

      I’d like to have the option to fight back.

  23. Could we have possible terrorists amongst the illegals pouring into the country? Yes.
    Terrorism has been a risk for years now. And most without training and experience in combat or in dealing with an ambush or other attack will freeze up or be slow to react and respond.
    Shock and surprise is what terrorists depend on to be successful in their attacks. Same as our own SF people such as the SEALS and USASF personnel.
    Overcoming that shock is what makes the difference.
    So, being observant, practicing marksmanship from cover or odd positions and being aware of potential entrance/exit points would be a reasonable precaution.
    As for being afraid, nope, I refuse to live in fear of anyone or anything. A bit of caution or a healthy respect for what could harm you is good. Fear profits you nothing.
