A newly released ABC News/Ipsos poll confirms what most of America’s gun owners already knew; that Joe Biden is a failure at addressing crime and especially gun-related violence, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

The survey, released over the weekend, shows only 36 percent—slightly more than 1 in 3 Americans—approve of Biden’s handling of the deteriorating crime problem. As for his response to violent crimes in which firearms are used, the data is even worse, with only 32 percent approval, and that’s down from 39 percent recorded in an October poll.

“Joe Biden is an unmitigated disaster,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “Among important independent voters, he gets even lower marks. Only 1 in 4 independent voters approved of how he is handling so-called ‘gun violence,’ according to the ABC poll. We’re seeing criminals running rampant in our cities and police unable to do their jobs. It should be no wonder why millions of Americans have bought guns for the first time, just to protect their homes and families. And what has been Biden’s response? He wants to ban semiautomatic rifles and 9mm pistols for law-abiding gun owners. He’s taking absurd to a new level.

“Because of Biden’s and the Democrats’ failure in protecting the public, more people are using firearms to protect themselves and their families than in recent memory,” he added.

“Back on October 11,” he recalled, “pollster Scott Rasmussen reported that 53 percent of voters think having police crackdown on gangs would be much more effective at reducing violent crime than adding new restrictions on honest gun owners.

Gottlieb pointed to major cities where homicides have spiked since Biden took office. Chicago, Philadelphia, St. Paul, Portland, Tucson, Austin, Albuquerque, New York City and Toledo all have reported spiking murder numbers with two weeks remaining in the year.

“The ABC News/Ipsos poll has Biden failing on other issues, including the economy and foreign affairs,” Gottlieb noted. “With less than a year in office, Joe Biden has repeatedly demonstrated his lack of leadership skills. Anyone else might be embarrassed, but Biden just seems oblivious.”

With more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (www.ccrkba.org) is one of the nation’s premier gun rights organizations. As a non-profit organization, the Citizens Committee is dedicated to preserving firearms freedoms through active lobbying of elected officials and facilitating grass-roots organization of gun rights activists in local communities throughout the United States.

    • Who in the right mind wants Jim Crow Gun Control joe doing anything other than sleeping? On the other hand…Gun Violence is a concocted label used daily by those who use the acts pf criminals to bring about Gun Control.

When a criminal who by all accounts would use a firearm to commit a heinous act uses a motor vehicle to commit an even more heinous act you hear nothing coming from those who call for Gun Control at the drop of a hat. Shouldn’t such Vehicle Violence receive the same outrage as Gun Violence? After all there are millions of vehicles on the roads 24/7 that pose a far, far greater danger.

Open the curtain Allen Gottlieb and expose the filth behind those who disdain The Constitution of The United States and specifically The Second Amendment. If you want to stand there and be civil to those carrying on an agenda rooted in racism and genocide then they will pee all over you and worse the citizens you represent.

When Gun Control zealots speak if you fail to see the nooses, slave shacks, cross burning, concentration camps, gas chambers and swastikas inherent with Gun Control then being blind to reality and history illiterate should be a crime.

      • “if you fail to see the nooses, slave shacks, cross burning, concentration camps, gas chambers and swastikas inherent with Gun Control”

we do. we do however see gulags, red stars, and cultural revolutions associated with gun control. 100,000,000 million killed by communists, and they’re just getting started. and what they oppose is any nationalism other than they’re own. just like you.

        • Once again. Both, communism and your patriots in the gestapo are evil.

Period. No argument possible. Both are evil. You are no less evil because your side ‘only’ murdered 50 million when ‘they’ murdered 100 million.

    • Here’s a brief pause and relief from the headlines: A man on his way home from work at the Capitol came to a dead halt in traffic and thought to himself, “Wow, this traffic seems worse than usual.” He notices a police officer walking back and forth between the lines of cars so he rolls down his window and asks, “Excuse me, Officer, what’s the hold up?” The Officer replies, “Brandon just now saw his approval rating and it’s the lowest of any president in American history and he’s very depressed. He stopped his motorcade in the middle of the Beltway and he’s threatening to douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire. He said the democrats have turned their back on him and the Chinese withdrew all money that they promised to him. So, I’m walking around taking up a collection for him.” “Oh really? How much have you collected so far?” “Well, I’ve got a lot of folks still siphoning; but right now I have about 18 gallons of gas and 24 lighters

    • Yes – Americans KNOW Biden is a Failure Not modifiers required.

Scary new political theory – Before 2022 election (Demtards control Congress) Kammie gets fed up/quits or Dems pushed her out/back to the ranch (mustang). Joe installs Hellery as new VP. Joe quits/25th is does not run in 2024 and she runs for president as the incumbent (with a year or two of experience).

Thus the current love fest in the media with the old witch. Stay tuned for more from the Twilight Zone.

        • Ghouls, weirdos, and whackos don’t tend to have widespread voter appeal. TDS can say a lot of crazy things about Trump but it doesn’t change the fact that he comes across as the most normal option and Joe was by far the most normal seeming candidate of the Democrats.

      • neiowa,

What makes anyone think the Democrat Party power brokers would send Harris out to pasture? She is a woman, she is a minority, and she is dark complected (half black and half Asian Indian). Such a candidate for President of the United States is the Holy Grail of Democrat election strategy.

I would have to see some authenticated and incredibly compelling internal documents from the Democrat Party stating that they will not move Harris forward as their leading candidate for President in the 2024 election before I would believe in a Hillary placement.

Furthermore, making Harris their candidate means they cannot lose. Either she wins the election and they get to tout and celebrate installing the first minority black woman as President. Or she loses the election and Democrats blame it on “Systemic Racism”–demanding more shame/grovelling/restitution from the public and cranking up their efforts on that front.

        • Yeah I agree. The only credit I give to Democrats is when they latch on to an idea, they will run into the ground hell or high water.

        • “Such a candidate for President of the United States is the Holy Grail of Democrat election strategy”

rather she has no charisma and no power base, and thus is totally behold to the owners of the democrat party. THAT is their unholy grail.

  1. Oh he’ll address it all right, the same way they always do. By violating OUR civil rights!! That’s what every coward in my lifetime has done.

  2. BLM/ANTIFA are the Democrats modern day lynch mobs, and lynch mobs only work when the victim is unarmed.
A tried and true tactic from the past.

  3. Seems like his strategy for four years is to bottom out hard the first year so for the next three the news is all about “increasing favorability” or at the very least “polls remain stable.”

Bold strategy. Lets see how it plays out.

    • They’re governing like it’s his last term because they know he isn’t running again. They’re getting while the getting is good.

  4. The survey, released over the weekend, shows only 36 percent—slightly more than 1 in 3 Americans—approve of Biden’s handling of the deteriorating crime problem.

Seriously? 36% of Americans approve of how Biden is handling crime? I would like to know who these people are. Given that around 1% are the criminals causing the problems, that leaves 35% as supporters and enablers. Scary.

    • Ragnar,

The people who approve of Biden’s performance are dyed-in-the-wool Democrats as well as people who have no idea what is going on.

To be completely honest, I expected that a significantly larger number of people would say that they approve of Biden’s performance.

    • My parents love the guy, they also listen almost exclusively to NPR and are in utter denial that Philly is experiencing record criminal activity. I can only imagine either or a mix of denial, ignorance (with complacency), and maybe some level of impaired mental function may apply for the remaining 36 odd %.

        • Don’t need to remind me, the half of my wife’s family that lived in Albany all voted last election and have all been dead since 2011. We were able to get 2 off the voter rolls but each ward does its best to keep people from being disenfranchised.

  5. When people finally start to understand that all these distasteful policies are purposely designed to destroy the very fabric of our society then they will take more active steps to protect themselves and the Republic. Having more crime and gun violence provides them with an excuse to blame it on guns and gun owners not on their policies which created the problem in the first place. So wake up folks and start trying to understand that none of this is poor leadership. It is simply a plan to undermine the average American Citizen and put the ultimate power in the hands of the elite without having to worry about the laws or Constitution of the United States. Its time to rise up and throw the bums out.

    • Yes.

Sure, uncle joe started off slow and has been tapering off, but that’s a feature, not a bug. He may still have a bit of conscience remaining somewhere inside, but by the time it wakes up and says “Oh crap, what did I do?” (if that ever does happen), it’ll be too late. The puppetmasters will be controlling the board.

      • Alright, here we go. Amend title—eh, I’m not gonna read it all. I’ll just sign it.

  6. Most people didn’t vote for him to address violence. They voted for three main reasons:

    1. A “return to normalcy.” What they got was the most radical administration in the history of this country. -FAIL

    2. To stop people dying from the Xi Variant. More people have died this year than last year, but most people wouldn’t know that because the media propaganda machine shifted the narrative. -FAIL

    3. TDS. They’re still complaining that “Trump hasn’t gone away.” -FAIL

  7. “He wants to ban semiautomatic rifles and 9mm pistols…”
    ithaca x5’s and lugers?
    dang.

your scrilla lining the pockets of these thieving liars. largest cash/ power grab in history, all there for the taking. this makes the mortgage, uaw bailout, s&l, silver, sugar and gas stuff look like bargains.

  8. “A … poll confirms … that Joe Biden is a failure…”

The rest of that sentence is unnecessary since the Biden Administration is a failure at everything.

The really interesting question is how much Biden himself versus his handlers deserve the blame for this.

  9. I do not know how they can say Biden is a failure. He has succeeded with just about every wish list item Dems and Rinos want. Perhaps a better way to frays this is that among those polled, they cannot believe these anti 2A people actually done what they said they would do!

  10. ““Or, Mike, take the firearms first and then go to court because that’s another system. Because a lot of times by the time you go to court, it takes so long to go to court, to get the due process procedures. I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida, he had a lot of [firearms], they saw everything. To go to court would have taken a long time. So, you could do exactly what you said but take the guns first, go through due process second.”

    -President Donald J. Trump, February 28, 2018

    • John A. Smith,

While Trump may have been right on a lot of policy considerations, he was flat-wrong on that policy matter.

      • I agree 100%. But if we’re going to attack Biden for wanting to ban guns, we can’t say Trump isn’t as bad or that he’s a viable alternative. I mean, hell, at least Biden wants to legislate restrictions which is wrong but still due process — Trump just wanted to take them by fiat. On guns, honestly, I think they’re both utterly wrong. The balance of the Republican party is far better on guns, but on the issue, Trump is anything but a Republican — he was a registered Democrat for the entire 8 years of Bush’s time in office and, no offense, but he’s New York City to the bone.

        • Remember Trump continuing to push for that? Remember him bringing that up at his rallies? Me either. No one thought anything would ever come of that. Trump was talking tough without thinking, right after a tragedy. The only people that cling to that as a reason not to support Trump, or equate Trump to ANY Democrat, are those with full blown TDS.

        • We have to remember that the Racist face of gun control has usually been by Dems, many other faces of gun control have been backed by Reps. We have to realize that political parties want control, and they have little control if they do not control those with the guns.
Ronald Reagan was a gun control zealot, when he saw Black Panthers with long guns observing police procedure he went ballistic. Neither party is the party of civil rights and this is the problem. The party that claims it is for civil rights runs the ACLU and the southern poverty center, so they are anti civil rights for firearms.

    • Outside of a few key issues, Trump had a tendency to throw out ideas and test the waters. Good or bad. Like when he said he supported bringing back old school interrogation methods, but Mattis publicly dismissed it and Trump didn’t press it further.
