XS Sights S&W Minimalist Orange Dot Sight

XS Sights has introduced new pre-drilled night sights for select Smith & Wesson (S&W) and Ruger revolvers, designed for easier self-installation without the need for a gunsmith.

The new sights are available for S&W K-Frame, L-Frame, J-Frame, and Ruger SP101 revolvers. They feature a self-illuminating tritium vial surrounded by a photoluminescent Glow Dot, providing visibility in both low-light and bright conditions.

The front sights come in two styles: the Standard Dot, available for S&W J-Frame and Ruger SP101 revolvers, and the Minimalist, designed for S&W K-Frame and L-Frame revolvers. The Minimalist set includes a serrated, non-tritium rear sight aimed at reducing glare while keeping focus on the front sight.

The sights are available in either green or orange, with prices ranging from $65 to $110.

XS Sights provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty on their products and a 12-year warranty on tritium components. More details can be found on their website at www.xssights.com.

    • Was about the same height as standard for the sp101. Just be really specific on what model as there are a few Ruger sku’s that are close but not quite.

  1. Let’s see; S&W 632 nope. In my experience good luck to anyone looking for a direct drill front with proper height for a J. Sights for the 632 (J with adjustable rear) is darn near non-existent. The 627 does have some aftermarket with the spring tension front sight drop-in.

  2. I bought a set of these before they started pre-drilling the holes. The lack of pre-drilled holes was actually my biggest complaint, but now that they’re installed, I love them. I put them on a 2.75″ Model 69. They glow bright and point naturally. The do seem to sit higher than the OEM S&W sights, but the sight picture is a lot better for me, especially for my intended use. I definitely recommend these, and if I get another revolver in the future that these fit, I will likely get another set.
