One of the things that I noticed in the feedback that we’ve been getting from the survey is that there are a TON of aspiring writers out there, and all of you want a shot as a writer on TTAG. Well, there’s good news: we can make that happen. Heck, how do you think I got here? All you have to do is come up with an idea for a good article, write it up and submit it. If we like it, we’ll publish it. If we don’t, we’ll work with you until we do. Any firearms-related article works, but reviews of your guns are most welcome. Keep in mind the style guide and the review guidelines (for reviews), follow the formula and you should be golden. Who knows, you might be the next underpaid and overworked member of the crew!

I’m surprised you guys haven’t asked me to write a story. I can review a gun in two butchered sentences.

I like how the TTAG writer is the only guy sitting at the table in the SHOT Show media room. Shouldn’t he be out getting the scoop? 😀 It’s great that you guys are giving opportunities to others, rock on TTAG!
My recall from that time was he had already gotten the scoop and was writing up the scoop for our same-day consumption.
Yeah, I believe they were racing the clock against getting kicked out of the closed (closing?) media room at the end of the day.
You shouldn’t have any problem finding some good writers on this blog judging from the comment section.

Got a couple of single shot youth model .22’s but they belong to our little girl who is 11 and love’s to shoot.
Could be an interesting set of reviews all in all but some would probably find them unneeded or boring!! Could be fun though.
RF…what about stuff on fixing/upgrading guns or on gun parts??? I work on my own so just a thought.
I’ve thought about writing a few reviews, but between work, social life, and all of that there’s not much time left in the day or week.
I’d find the time if RF fixed that damn John Deere ad in exchange.
Me too but between work, home projects and tinkering with the occasional work on a vehicle or gun seems like there are not enough hours in the day!
Besides I am on OFWG and after 8 or 10 or 12 hrs of working in a limestone quarry my brain is mush for a couple of hours after getting home!!! LOL!!
My girlfriend says it is mush for longer but I ten to disagree! 😉
@Ruffridr… Usually true but I have seen a couple of posts where he spit out some ungodly numbers for something besides his nom de plume!!!!
But you are right he doesn’t provide statistics just BS and other such stuff!!!
A writter I wont be but I do hope they see my comments and decided to add a newbei section. That give people a good starting point who are just getting started.
