(sponsored post) The Walther Arms PPQ [above] was a huge hit at last year’s Texas Firearms Festival. And why not? The PPQ (Police Pistol Quick) is an ergonomic delight with one of the best — if not the best — out-of-the-box triggers money can buy. And buy, ticket holders did. Like most guns at the Festival, the five-star TTAG reviewed Walther PPQ was available at a significant discount. Same again at the 2016 Texas Firearms Festival at Best of the West Shooting Sports in Liberty Hill, on October 14 – 16. Click here to buy your tickets. Once again . . .

Walther’s bringing their best to the Fest. This year ticket holders get serious trigger time on Walther’s five-star PPQ 45, the .45 caliber version of their “built for life” Tennifer-coated polymer pistol; complete with Picatinny rail, standard and large interchangeable back straps, adjustable sights, polygonal rifled barrel, and fully ambidextrous controls. Walther’s also demoing the PPQ M2 in 9mm, PPQ 22, PPS M2 and the new red dot-ready Q5 Match [above].

The 2016 Texas Firearms Festival is bigger and better than ever, with over 30 major manufacturers exhibiting and selling their firearms. (Click here for a list of exhibitors.) Not to mention our expanded Retail Village and Austin’s finest food truck cuisine. This year we’re also offering VIP ticket buyers exclusive access to Full Auto Friday. But the guns are the stars, and few have shone as brightly as Walther’s PPQ. Come and shoot it!

Remember: you pay one price for admission and ammo’s free (save for Full Auto Friday). Click here to buy your to the 2016 Texas Firearms Festival. Because the world’s best guns don’t shoot themselves.

  1. Tell them to make a threaded barrel .45 version, my PPQ M2 Navy is lonely in the safe. But it’s threaded barrel will fit in a Canik TP9V2. Not that I tried that or anything that would be seriously dangerous (to your wallet for about $210 for barrel and heavier recoil spring/guide rod). Apex Tactical flat face trigger upgrade kit makes the really good stock trigger GREAT.
