Peter Wentz [Not Shown] on Home Defense: Bayonets, Not Guns

Fall Out Boy bassist and Ashlee Simpson squeeze Pete Wentz Tweeted his thoughts on home defense. “I really wish bayonets were primary weapons still.” Then “I feel like I’d be good at using one, and it’s practical home defense.” And “I mean you don’t bayonet somebody by accident, and no one gets killed cleaning a bayonet.” Sad to say, the remark links this story to the previous blog on Glenn Beck’s suicidal thoughts (as well as our post on the Army’s decision to drop bayonet practice). Wentz, who suffers from bi-polar disorder, attempted suicide by OD’ing on Ativan.
