Molon labe. That’s the sentiment spreading throughout what TTAG used to call “slave states” (i.e. the states where citizens’ Constitutional rights are under direct and emphatic attack). This video cuts close to the bone, asserting that citizens have a right to shoot armed police officers coming to confiscate their firearms. We don’t have any information about the who, what, where and when of this but it’s not out of line with what fellow Oath Keepers are saying, or at least suggesting. (Click here for a Stand Strong portrait from an Oath Keeper in our Facebook album.) Speaking of Facebook, the CT cop who told a fellow flamer that he’d give his left nut to come and take his gun (suspended by his force in an excellent example of wrist-slapping) hasn’t helped matters. This situation in Connecticut – and New York, Maryland and California – remains but a trigger press away from something really ugly. Watch this space.
Aim small, miss small.

Yeah!
Why wasn’t the sleeping pregnant woman packing a shotty up her coochie???!!! She must not be a red-blooded American woman.
Wait, there are laws that are not being enforced along with judges not properly sentencing violent criminals and prisons letting inmates go due to overcrowding and budget cuts? Noooooo……
The Hammurabi Code would be quite effective in this nation….but criminals would find additional ways to use their willingly committed crimes to get “disability” money.
Rich, I like your style.
You made some very valid points.
Thanks.
I’ll now do a little more research before I recommend this firearm to a friend, but will mention your comments.
Interesting timing, I was just polishing up a piece on FL open carry I was planning on sending in. Any interest from the TTAG staff?
Does the average American realize how touchy the CT situation is? Every morning I wake up wondering if they’ve started shooting yet. All it would take is a no-knock on just the right door.
(Unrelated but is the edit feature wonky for anyone else? It barely works for one computer and I don’t even see the links on another one. It used to work fine.)
Can’t wait for the introduction of depleted urainium rounds!
Naw, DU rounds are for tanks. They are fine, but when fired the dust they create inside the tanks is toxic AND flammable. Unless you are hunting tanks, then your good!
And law enforcement needs a bullet like that exactly how often? How frequently have they had to shoot through glass in a “hostage” situation?
The capricious spending of the taxpayer monies continues apace, throwing money at solutions that are in a frantic search for an actual problem.
Holy underwear, Batman!
That supressor deal comes out to $4,899 per supressor.
Where do I sign up to make secret squirrel stuff for the navy? That’s almost as good as a 700 dollar hammer!
There are testing costs as well as manufacturing costs. Testing costs are an exorbitant percentage of ALL gov’t procurements.
I was on and air force base a few years ago and got to see the flow chart used for procurement. Looked like something out of MAD magazine and left me wondering how our military buys anything.
Submitted to my First Sergeant for advisement.
USAF, 23+ years and counting. And I doubt you’ll find a stronger 2A supporter in the AF.
Magnificent issues altogether, you just received a new reader. What may you suggest about your put up that you just made a few days ago? Any certain?

Black guy here. Just received my ccw Monday.

Shoot first – ask questions later. “Knock on the door? We don’t knock – we break down the door and follow up with flash bang grenades.”
I myself am a first-time convicted felon of a non violent crime! And my conviction happened almost 13yrs ago! Since then I have walked a straight line yet I am still being punished! I am trying to figure out can I or can I not own a firearm? !!
Open carrying in ones and twos seems more hazardous. The police show up, call for backup and now can pretty much do anything they’re in the mood to do to you. You got 40 or 50 protesters and most of the time the police back off. Until the police is edumacated about our rights, large groups is the way to go. Once they’re on board, feel free to strike out alone.
A Sig is a high quality weapon, like an H&K. Those who have been carrying the best gear for 20-40 years know the difference. I have Guns older than most shooters . If you just got a permit and learned a few things you read someware,, take a break until you know a bit more about guns, before knocking specific brands.
If there’s new ammo to help protest bystanders, I’m all for it. I have to protest bystanders all the time and they just keep getting in the way.
South by Southwest. Brought to you by the World Bank. It’s true; look it up!
So how does this relate to SXSW? It may not. Probably not. But I’m sorry, I am inherently suspicious… no, the better word might be “off-put”, by an event sponsored by the World Bank and its handmaiden, the International Monetary Fund (and maybe the IRS, depending on which way you look at it).
They are not mere financial institutions, but global power brokers: some for you (we like what you’re doing, it benefits us), but not for you (we hate it because it threatens us).
It’s not that different from the IRS sponsoring a “World Peace (“War”) Event on the Mall in DC.
Hosted by Bono the Phony.
GREAT WRITE-UP, Thanks Ralph!
I’ve read that the “safety lock” is reasonably simple to remove (gut), Could you share how one would “fix” the problem?
Also would you or anyone else have thoughts as to buying a second J frame, whether to consider a standard weight j frame for home defense/ range practice or a second 642 airweight and use both for any type use ?
Thanks again
“shows that Landersman had legitimate, but off the record, authorization to manufacture them…”
That seems like it’s part of the problem, to me. If the government wants to purchase suppressors for the seals, that’s fine, but it should not be quite so ‘off the record.’ Maybe the citizens in a republic should know where these normally tightly-controlled dangerous objects are going and who is using them?
Great way to educate people. As long as we keep level headed and have the law on our side we’ll be ok. I’m still working up the courage to open carry here in Nevada. I concealed carry every day but I’m not sure that I would have handled that guy in the same manner as you did. I think it would be worse for our cause. I admire your courage and level headedness. Keep up the good work.
I think it is time to drop coverage of these losers.
Cops are one thing, paramilitary goons are another. Municipal standing armies should be abolished along with alcohol law enforcement “agencies” and “highway patrol” units. How many different law enforcement organizations does a municipality (one piece of dirt) need? Who does each one report to? Think about it.
will AR clips fit the S and W MP15 .223 caliber or do they have to be S and W?
What about the DOGS??!! Are they testing a new round to protect innocent dogs?
“Look, John, we can’t have you running around out there killing innocent dogs.”
“There are no friendly dogs!”
Nice one! The little girl in the 1mmagc logo should have a pistol though lol
That’s actually one of the better comparisons I’ve seen.
Punishing law-abiding-firearm-owners for the actions of criminals or crazies is like a farmer shooting his dog because a fox got into the hen-house.
Justice is where the guilty are punished. Tyranny is where the innocent are punished. Firearm owners haven’t seen or felt much justice over the last 30+ years.
What he says makes a lot of sense.
too bad he didn’t have this out before I mailed in my ballot yesterday . . . .
Yeah, mine went out last week.
What is holding the pigs head up? That odd looking pile of leaves? Do people really think this is real?
If signed, cue MDA conniptions in 3…2…1…
Weren’t they lobbying in IN on this one?
Why did my “she’s a MILSW” comment get moderated?
Have you never heard of “mom I’d like to shoot with?”
I got an Alien Gear holster in the mail yesterday. It’s Crossbreed-style, with the leather base and the hard shell. Been looking forward to that sucker for weeks. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me. Once the thing is on my body, the leather curves into the shell opening, thereby blocking it. I can get my gun in there through some bodily contortions, but then it’s near impossible to pull it out again. This thing is a negligent discharge waiting to happen, yet thousands of people love the Crossbreed-style holsters and use them every day. What the hell am I missing?
Haven’t they been shipping these for awhile now? I’ve seen them listed on the mgi website for at least a year? I thought a 223/556 and a 7.62×39,rifle were both listed.
I wonder how repeatable the zero is when you dismount the barrel, then remount it.
I can see the utility to switching between a couple calibers, but I can really see the utility of being able to carry a full-power rifle in a case the size of a large handgun. It’s easier to secure and easier to transport without alarming anyone. But only if you can snap your 5.56 barrel right on, have it keep its zero, and get right into making the most of your range time.
“…And on the pedestal these words appear:
“…My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”
The NRA will be around long after Bloomberg and the rest of us are gone.
Got it to -irritating
“You are posting comments too quickly. Slow down.”
I just want to legally obtain and own a professionally manufactured, reasonably priced, select fire 10/22 receiver
GREAT , I just ordered mine , should be here in 2 weeks ,,,,,,,,,,,Canada NS the BIG FReeeeeeeZeeeeeerrr
Soap Box. Ballot Box. Jury Box. Cartridge Box. It’s a little early to be claiming victory, malloy.
So who’s paying for my gun when its stolen by the police?
What I want to know is who supervised Chad Arnold and the fed guys also. They are all going to get their butts sued off!
If only George Bush had done this after 9/11 and rounded up the last of the Democrats…
Oh, wait, Malloy wouldn’t have liked that, would he?
Someday, when he dies of old age, I hope I still care enough to visit his funeral and piss on his grave…
I didn’t hear about any trips to the range with the girlfriend to try out the guns to find out what fits her hand (while shooting it, that is). When I read this: “It fits like a velvet glove that sings” it seemed as if the man who has the girlfriend was trying out the gun. I can’t say for certain about this case, but I know that in all cases I’m aware of, the girlfriend’s hands will be a different size and strength than the man’s hands. That doesn’t always mean she’ll need a different gun but in many cases it will. The nice thing in this case is that if she shoots the gun and complains that it doesn’t fit her hand, we know it fits his hands so it won’t be a loss. When you take both of them to the range, get some range ammo (ball or something without the self-defense moniker) and have her shoot that normal ammo. If it works out, then have her shoot the self-defense ammo. She will likely not enjoy the kick of the self defense ammo (I know I don’t). Make sure she understands this won’t be an issue should she need it in an emergency.
Normally, I would start a new person out on a 22. It might be worth renting a 22 at the range to get her started, then move up to a full size 9 to get the feel of a 9 without suffering the sharper kick of the 3.5″ barrel’d 9. Since this purchase was for a home-defense gun and she has already talked about recoil, I would have gone for a 4.5″ or 5” barrel and heavier gun to soak up recoil. However, that Ruger is a very nice gun and she shouldn’t have any difficulty with it once she has practiced fundamentals. It’s actually a pretty good multi-purpose gun in that it can be carried quite easily. I could see that gun becoming his carry gun and her getting something that fits her better for home defense.
Mike
They are starting to get it. He said full capacity instead of high-capacity.
I must admit I appreciate his honesty.
Wow.
Glad you made it away OK.
So you didn’t get a good description. So what.
Having your hide intact is was your primary goal and you achieved that goal.
After the past few years of turmoil/up/down, I have really stocked on ammo working to find the best possible prices by carefully using GunBot.net and AmmoSeek, etc.
I find that often Sportsmen’s Guide with their ongoing coupons generally result in my lowest prices, since I’m a member and I usually get free shipping.
I have thousands of rounds of the calibers I shoot and like to keep a generous reserve on hand.
It’s remarkable how the most elusive round remains .22LR when before this whole ridiculous mess I was routinely getting good plinking stuff in bulk purchase for .03 – .05 cents a round.
While I would be one of the first to tell people police can’t always get there in time when you really need help, if you take his story at face value (which I don’t), it would be a great exception.
Suspect not actively trying to harm you? Suspect contained in a small area with no real escape? Homeowner armed and some short distance away with eyes on the exit of the area where the suspect is barricaded? Perfect time to call police and just wait a few minutes. That is, if you believe him. Which I don’t.
I hope this doesn’t sound prejudice, but I thought they always used Indian, or black kids for these adds??
something else to piss off Matt in FL:
1) Notice that this on Bloomberg’s news channel – this is fucking win! http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-03-17/nra-opposition-may-scuttle-obamas-surgeon-general-choice?campaign_id=yhoo#p1
2) If you haven’t checked out Shannon’s twit feed, you should see that comments attacking her are NOT being deleted. Hmmm, maybe she can’t check while on vacation or better yet, John manned up a little and told her to stay out of strange parking garages with her iphone? Anyway – just note we have free reign over there for the time being.
Legalese Update: It can’t be the paid build party issue. The only 80% lowers that were seized were the EP polymers (fact). If it was a build party concern, they would have seized the metal lowers as well.
Wealth of information found here that could mean the difference between life and death for prospective owners. Thanks for the write up / videos Bryan. I’ve decided to get a Mossberg over the models I was originally considering, in part because of the excellent work displayed on this blog reviewing them.
People like Dan “a deluded old twit who thought suffering brought one closer to a god” have most likely never gone a whole day without food – much less three or four just to say “thanks” to God. Try it – you’ll be closer than you’re prepared for Dan.
