If this guy was a “right wing gun nut” it would be all over the press. It turns out that he was a “left-wing just-plain-nut,” and the press is silent. Gee, I didn’t see that one coming.
What are you even talking about? It’s on the front page of CNN, Fox, MSNBC, and BBC (US), and probably more. Sweeping political statements designed only to rile people up do little for productive conversation. “You’re with us or you’re against us” attitudes, especially with incorrect facts, do nothing at all.
It’s OK to just be a nut. People have this insatiable need to paint themselves with all of the baggage of one political fringe or another and then be judged by the rest of society accordingly. We should think more for ourselves and not use the right/left crutches so much. Bring back individuality and with it maybe some accountability.
Shame on those board members who stayed in their seats when that brave (or possibly stupid) woman, returned to confront the gunman with her purse. That was their cue to get up and do something but they all just sat in their seats hoping that someone else will save them.
