Keanu Reeves, 3-Gunner

Did he hone his run-and-gun skills while filming The Matrix? Dunno, not that it really matters. As I’ve heard someone say, culture eats strategy for lunch. Seeing celebrities safely (not to mention deftly) handling firearms removes the stigma so much of the media and entertainment industry work so hard to attach to anything gunny. So it’s good to see Keanu chose the red pill of reality rather than the blue pill so many of his colleagues have swallowed. We’d love to see him become an advocate for gun rights, too. Because there’s a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

      John Wick!!

      1. avatar BDub says:

Yeah, I was thinking if anything lit the gun fuse for him, it was probably John Wick.

Bu, I’m still picturing him waking up and saying, “Whoa, I know gun-fu!”

        1. avatar Texheim says:

It’s training for John Wick 2

      2. avatar Omer Baker says:

        That’s what I was thinking!

      3. Huge difference between his handling skills in Matrix vs John Wick.

After the human predator tried to mug me, “I saw the obviousness of the truth”.

Liberal/progressive brain washing is quite effective, It took being faced with my own death, plus being able to carry a fire arm, to start the “unplugging” process.

    4. avatar Ben says:

I didn’t think I could be a bigger Keanu fan, but yep it went up a notch.

  2. avatar Gunsplain says:

I want to see those targets.

Also, Keanu might continue being as stoic about politics as his characters are about pain.

    1. avatar What The Heck Is That says:

I’m perfectly fine with that. I don’t know or care about his political opinions, and I like it that way. More celebrities should follow his example and KEEP THEIR DAMN MOUTHS SHUT.

      1. avatar Wood says:

BINGO. they’re paid to entertain. That is all.

        1. avatar Swarf says:

Yeah. If only Ted Nugent would shut the hell up, right? And what about that Heston guy?

        2. avatar Wood says:

I’ll grant you those and a few more, but they’re in the minority. Hypocrite actors/directors/producers who make a living with gunplay in film like Liam Neeson, Sean Penn, etc. are the worst. And people lap up every word these people say. So many so eager to be sheep.

        3. avatar Steve Day says:

@Swarf – Charlton Heston died in 2008 dickturd!

      2. avatar Accur81 says:

I enjoy it when people speak their minds. You don’t think these guys have their pet projects and donations? If I’m into guns, and can donate a thousand dollars a year or so to pro-gun causes, how much could a celeb put forth? I do a lot of voting with my dollars, and celebrities can do a whole lot more. I’d be reasonably happy to watch a mediocre movie from a pro-gun actor and am perfectly happy to boycott mediocre movies from anti-gun actors.

Further, I enjoy it when companies have a pro-gun and pro-freedom bias. I go out of my way to patronize them and avoid anti-gun companies when feasible.

        1. avatar clickboom says:

Luckily John Wick was a freaking awesome movie, one of the best revenge movies ever and with some of thr best gun work ever.

Keanu is shredding harder than 99.9% of shooters, dude is feeling it

  3. avatar NJ2AZ says:

John Wick was a documentary, they just didn’t call it “Keanu” for privacy reasons.

  4. avatar Stuart K says:

    “You’re pretty good”

  5. avatar Tal says:

They are making John Wick sequel. He is training for it.

ANY of you who have not seen the first one NEEDS to see it. Awesome good time. Like the first Taken but better imo.

    1. avatar CRF says:

That nightclub action sequence has got to be one of the best, most well choreographed and scored action sequences I have her seen. And I’ve seen a LOT of movies.

      1. avatar notaTTAGreg says:

That’s a really well shot sequence. Overall the shooting sequences were realistic with appropriate magazine changes. Enjoyable flick through and through.

      2. avatar Matt says:

Come now, better than the Heat bank shootout or even the Pacino v De Niro duel at the end? Or even the scene in The Longest Day where they storm Omaha beach is more memorable to me and IMO shot much better.

John Wick was meh to me as far as movies go, good action small substance. I’d watch the second. Either way, that’s some good shooting Keanu.

        1. avatar clickboom says:

          Stab yourself!

        2. avatar Danny Emerson says:

I did like this movie and I do like Keano’s commitment. He practices what he preaches (acts). But check out the church scene in Kingsman. Best fight scene ever…

  6. avatar jp says:

Very nice. Glad to see he’s not a lemur. And John wick was a great movie.

  7. avatar HB says:

Wish our RSOs looked like his does.

    1. avatar Robert W. says:

When you’re training with Taran Butler, you get his ladies as part of the package.

    2. avatar Peter says:

That’s Jessica Hook. She’s a competitive shooter. Her Instagram and YouTube sites are well worth a visit.

  8. avatar FlamencoD says:

  9. avatar Caveman says:

Yes , but is he any good with a potatoe gun?

  10. avatar FormerWaterWalker says:

Go Keanu! Yep John Wick II. My favorite scene in #1 was the Kel-tec KSG thing. He’s looking pretty good here(and he’s over 50). Isn’t he Canadian???

    1. avatar What The Heck Is That says:

      Wikipedia says yes.

    1. avatar Ian in Transit says:

  11. avatar Bill C says:

Forget Reeves, who was the (seemingly ) hot girl at the 3nd?

    1. avatar Peter says:

Jessica Hook. Check out her Instagram. She’s a competitive shooter as well.

  12. avatar Tom in Oregon says:

That was some pretty darned good shooting.
He’s not a newbie, that’s for sure. Nice tactical reload on the shottie.

  13. avatar anaxis says:

Now I’d like to see a 3-Gun match between him, Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt. Maybe with Vince Vaughn as a dark-horse, and Chuck Norris to make things difficult.

    1. avatar FlamencoD says:

No competition. Chuck Norris would win without even firing a round.

      1. avatar anaxis says:

Maybe not…. I don’t think the judges would allow him to count his beard as one of three guns.

        1. avatar jwm says:

What about the fist hiding in his beard? Does he have to have a ccw for that?

  14. avatar Mp says:

How can you tell who it is?

It’s just a shaggy guy with long hair.

  15. avatar Owen says:

Nice shooting! But when he swung the AR around to his back and muzzled everybody I whinced.

    1. avatar Jimmyjames says:

Yikes! 3G around here, no slings and you have to ground those long guns.

  16. avatar James69 says:

oh please he just uploaded a 3gun program.

    1. avatar Texheim says:

      “I know kungfu”

  17. avatar Ralph says:

Keanu Reeves is left handed. So why is he shooting righty in this vid?

    1. avatar FormerWaterWalker says:

Yeah you’re right Ralph-maybe it’s an eye-dominant thing. Or maybe He IS the ONE(who can shoot either way)lol

    2. Plenty of lefties shoot righty. RF, for one.

      1. avatar jwm says:

RF is a leftie? Does he support bernie or the hildabeast? 🙂

    3. avatar James69 says:

I shoot lefty and could not hit a bull in the @ss with a handful of gravel shooting a rifle righty.

  18. avatar Joshua says:

“We’d love to see him become an advocate for gun rights, too.” Dude considering how many views this Youtube clip is going to get and that he’s putting it out there despite the fact it has been alleged that some very well known assholes dressed up like his character in the matrix before firing up Columbine, I’d say its a pretty fucking strong statement on a lot of levels, not the least of which is the contrast between the reality of training for Jon Wick 2 vs. the fantasy we all see on screen. The fact he’s up there getting it done and not telling other people how they should feel about it one way or the other, letting his actions speak for him, he’s not just playing at this shit and despite how fantastical his movies are, obviously he takes this stuff seriously.

  19. avatar FormerWaterWalker says:

AND he’s not American-British/naturalized Canadian. So he’s way better than noted anti-gun furiner’ azzwholes like Liam Neeson…

  20. avatar AlanInFL says:

    Nice run.

  21. avatar Nate H. says:

Seen this vidja before. He tears it up, for sure.
