There was apparently a bad moon on the rise in Prescott Valley, Arizona last week. That wouldn’t have been a big problem if Cameron Read hadn’t also been one toke over the line. According to the police and kpho.com, Read, his girlfriend and her son “were in [their] home when Read reportedly fired a round out of the window, and they reported hearing several more shots as they fled the home. No one was hurt.” Read was evidently trying to shoot the moon, after having smoked a little wildwood weed. “Prescott Valley police said they needed to use force to get Read into custody. He was booked into the Yavapai County Jail for two counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of endangerment, one count of resisting arrest, one count of criminal damage and one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm.” Yep, like so many before him, Read fought the law and the law won

  1. Is that an actual shirt he’s wearing or a black polo shirt with wallpaper samples pasted on it? DOH!

  2. DAN ZIMMERMAN,

Please fix your “fought the law and the law won” link. It doesn’t point anywhere.

  3. Obviously he simply misread one of those motivational posters. It’s “Shoot for the moon, because even if you miss you’ll land among the stars”

  4. I wonder if one of my Army buddies had to respond to that. He’s in the Prescott Sheriffs Department and he was never short of “interesting people” stories.
