Iowa State College Republicans Catch Hell for ‘Arm Up’ Tweet

“Our thought in writing the tweet was to support everyone in their right to bear arms,” [ Iowa State College Republicans president Ryan] Hurley wrote in an email. “People have sickly twisted it. Violence is not our intent.”

Iowa State spokesperson Angie Hunt said the university was aware of the social media post.

“Any suggestion of armed activity by an Iowa State student organization is prohibited by university policy,” Hunt said in a statement. “Any conduct that violates university policy will be addressed in an appropriate manner.”

Hunt declined to say whether any students might be disciplined.

I agree with the right to bear arms, shooting is fun huntig even more fun. The only thing I hate about hunting is being up at 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning cutting up what you just shot but that is part of the experience. As for anyone and everyone owning guns, I get nervious. I was raised on a farm and hunted since I was 5 years old, first with an adult then by myself. I still catch myself yelling at people to be careful where their barrel is pointing and some people I want to punch out and take their gun away from them because they don’t think and shoot in the direction of other people, carry their rifle poined at someone in front of them and all kinds of dangerous things because they were never taught how to handle a firearm. Until they learn how to handle a firearm they should not own one in my opinion.

Steve Bannon and Trump are still working you rubes, sad.

“Stephen K. Bannon, President Trump’s former adviser and an architect of his 2016 general election campaign, was charged on Thursday with defrauding donors to a private fund-raising effort called We Build the Wall, which was intended to bolster the president’s signature initiative along the Mexican border.

Mr. Bannon, working with a wounded Air Force veteran and a Florida venture capitalist, conspired to cheat hundreds of thousands of donors by falsely promising that their money had been set aside for new sections of wall, according to a federal indictment unsealed in Manhattan.

The fund-raising effort collected more than $25 million, and prosecutors said Mr. Bannon used nearly $1 million of it for personal expenses.

Despite the populist aura he tries to project, Mr. Bannon is known to enjoy the high life, and he was arrested at 7:15 a.m. on a $35 million, 150-foot yacht belonging to one of his business associates, the fugitive Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui, law enforcement officials said.”

On the other hand, the Trump foundation was found guilty of fraud and misspending hundreds of thousands of dollars of contributions intended to help wounded veterans, but instead spent on paintings of Donald Trump and his personal legal debts.

And the Trump foundation has been disbanded and its assets distributed by the court, while the Trump family is barred from holding positions in nonprofit foundations and was required to pay a $2 million settlement.

Interesting that the University didn’t have a problem with BLM / ANTIFA rioting, vandalizing, looting and burning our cities to the ground with an occasional assassination of political opponents thrown in for good measure. It is obvious that these people will surely to exploit their political power to reeducate or exterminate the opposition. As someone who has toured Beautiful Beiruit during the 1980s and Marvelous Mogadishu during 1990s, I can attest to just how bad a civil war can become. I can also attest that while armed citizens are unlikely to prevail against government troops armed with tanks and helicopter gunships, all of those woke folk who voted for Creepy Joe Biden and Cameltoe Harris would be soft targets. Many of these flat toothed, grass eating castrati still have Harris / Biden or even Hillary bumper stickers on their cars to identify themselves as fair game. There’s probably less of a chance of violence if Biden is elected. The Summer of Rioting promoted by the left wing pols and the BLM messaging by corporate America was nothing but a get out the vote campaign. 1. avatar JP Ruiz says:

    2. avatar Ron says:

I have a feeling BLM/Antifa will simply be emboldened, now they’ve seen that terrorism works.

Remember both those groups existed and rioted long before Trump was on stage.

      1. avatar Chief Censor says:

Antifa was created because of Trump. Now Trump is leaving. BLM was created under Obama because of police violence, but they had no real power because Democrats didn’t genuinely care, they were the ones in power.

        1. avatar Ron says:

Incorrect. Antifa is the natural, violent, progression of the occupy movement, similar to how Al Queda in Iraq progressed into ISIS.

        2. avatar Dude says:

          Chief,
“Antifa” style black bloc rioters were around during the Obama administration. I’ve posted a video of one of their riots in the northwest in the spring of 2016. They didn’t care for the Obama economy.

        3. avatar Prndll says:

The more interesting part of that is that Trump would never have been a factor in ANY of this had it not been for Obama. We have a President Trump BECAUSE we had a President Obama.

        4. avatar Dude says:

          Prndll,
That is so true, but the media has manipulated the facts. Second term Obama lost millions of votes compared to first term Obama because he failed to deliver. Obama’s popularity didn’t begin going back up until people realized they didn’t like the 2016 candidates either. The real story is that Trump gained a significant amount of support compared to his first term because he did deliver. Why isn’t the media talking about “racist” Trump getting more non-white votes than any other republican in 60 years? The segment Trump lost ground in was the white suburban voter, both male and female. So much for the white supremacy myth.

        5. avatar CWT says:

The origins of antifa can be traced to the protests at the Seattle WTO conference 1999. This is not a recent phenomenon.

        6. avatar Prndll says:

          @dude
I never believed any of the ‘white supremacy’ bs anyway. I never saw anything anywhere in this last year that equates to that. Most of what I’ve seen are angry motivated idiots with guns and people creating such high mischief that gives us riots. I’ve seen insanity egged on by Pelosi, Schiff-forbrains, Clinton, etc. What I’ve seen are lunatics that cannot deal with reality.

        7. avatar Dude says:

Now after months of the media and dems downplaying and even casting doubt on a vaccine, the pharma companies announce a vaccine right after the race is called for Biden. Coincidence? Do you think the stock markets are rallying for a dark winter?

      2. avatar Dude says:

“Remember both those groups existed and rioted long before Trump was on stage.”

Yes, but they were never really elevated because they didn’t want to make Obama look bad. BLM was gaining steam under the Obama admin until they began to assassinate the police. Maybe you’re right because BLM supporters reverted to that behavior this year, and the media ignored it. We saw corporate America support a terrorist movement. The grip the media and tech companies hold over the narratives in this country are going to be near impossible to overcome. Turning Trump into a scary racist worked much better than turning him into a Russian agent.

        1. avatar Ron says:

Pretty much. The media, democrats, and billionaire class endorsed the leftist terrorism. They will continue to do so whenever they feel the need too.

Ironically, that billionaire class is also a target of those same individuals. It’s a strange alliance that either speaks to conspiracy, or simply stupidity.

      3. avatar Southern Cross says:

They’ve been promised a socialist revolution and they will vent their anger most vehemently when they find it isn’t going to happen. Biden’s useful fools may find their usefulness is at an end.

        1. avatar Miner49er says:

Trump’s ‘useful fools’ usefulness is already at an end, so sad.

“Meanwhile, many campaign staffers have been left in limbo regarding their employment status past the end of this week when contracts are set to expire, while they man a “voter fraud” hotline for hours a day getting bombarded with prank phone calls. Staffers have been told if they come into the office they need to answer calls or go home, sources said.

“We are spending our final days answering prank calls and don’t know if we will have jobs by next week,” one campaign aide said.”

    3. avatar Mark N. says:

I guess you missed Antifa’s little protest after the Biden win was announced. A little burning, lots of yelling at white people, and a sign that said, “We don’t want Biden, we want revenge.” More people arrested, most bailed or had their charges dropped by the lunatic Marxist DA before they could be processed. So glad I don’t live anywhere near there. It has gotten so bad that most of the rest of the state wants to merge with Idaho rather than put up with all of that anarchy and violence.

      1. avatar Miner49er says:

Oh, you mean the back room trade deals from the basement of the White House?

“SHANGHAI (AP) — The Chinese government granted 18 trademarks to companies linked to President Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump over the last two months, Chinese public records show, raising concerns about conflicts of interest in the White House.

In October, China’s Trademark Office granted provisional approval for 16 trademarks to Ivanka Trump Marks LLC, bringing to 34 the total number of marks China has greenlighted this year, according to the office’s online database. The new approvals cover Ivanka-branded fashion gear including sunglasses, handbags, shoes and jewelry, as well as beauty services and voting machines.

The approvals came three months after Ivanka Trump announced she was dissolving her namesake brand to focus on government work.”

That last item is very interesting, of course you conservative Republicans ignore what the trumps are doing to enrich themselves at the expense of taxpayers by selling America short.

But yes, Ivanka Trump has cut a deal with China to produce Trump branded voting machines.

Hypocrisy, thy name is conservative Republican.

Amazing posting here today, TTAG is too cowardly to post the actual tweet text because it is indeed, inflammatory and threatening.

For those wondering about the contents of the actual text, here you are:

“the Iowa State College Republicans’ Twitter account tweeted, “Everyone, you must arm up, expect these people to attempt to destroy your life, the elites want revenge on us.”

The text clearly indicates that they should prepare for armed conflict because their political opponents will “attemp to destroy their lives”.

What does that have to do with the academic educational function the university is providing?

It has nothing to do with the educational function, it is inflammatory remarks encouraging armed response to an illusionary ‘attack’.

Hey, shit for brains! Was there something wrong with that tweet? It sounded spot on to me. What is your objection? I’m pretty sure the poster was not a university employee, it was a private communication.

      1. avatar Southern Cross says:

It sounded defensive to me. Nothing wrong with being prepared just in case.

    4. avatar Brad in Indiana says:

nothing illusionary about liberals trying to destroy their enemies (Republicans) . They even kill their own when nesicerry (Vince Foster) .
Nothing goes to far for liberals , they have NO MORALS . Liberals show zero respect for opposing views, so they shall receive no respect.

    5. avatar Mark N. says:

So what you are really saying is that preparing for self-defense if attacked by leftist trolls and ogres is somehow threatening and an instigation of violence. I think that the Supreme Court already had a word or two to say about that, and that it has rejected such clearly fallacious “logic.”

  11. avatar The Crimson Pirate says:

Biden won plain and simple. That’s it, it’s over. Trump was just too much of an incompetent egomaniac.

Anybody tries to start an insurrection they will get smashed down to a greasy spot very easily. There are far more patriots that obey the law than those who rant and rave about “Patriots Rise” and other bullcrap.

    Grow the fuck up already.

    1. avatar Manse Jolly says:

It’s far from over. Way far.

Gore contested his election for how many days?

That’s how many President Trump can expect at a minimum. To be fair yes?

    2. avatar Prndll says:

That has been my thought to the Dems, BLM, and Antifa all year long.

Trump won in 2016, get over it and grow up!

    3. avatar The Crimson Pirate says:

Gore-Trump was a very different scenario, a few hundred votes in one state. This time it is four states and by tens of thousands of votes. Totally over four milling in Biden’s favor. That makes Trumps claims non-sensical. Never in our history has the loser in a race been able to change the winner with a recount. Especially not a recount based on purely imaginary “evidence”.

      1. avatar Ralph says:

        Gore-Trump?

      2. avatar Prndll says:

Recounts based on law. Things that would happen regardless.

      3. avatar Manse Jolly says:

Which claims are you saying are false?

Even SCOTUS is stepping in, sworn statements, election laws not followed…

It’s not just recounts, it’s LEGAL votes that count.

    4. avatar Geoff "I'm getting too old for this shit" PR says:

      …says the fake ‘Crimson Pirate’.

      Try harder… 😉

  12. avatar Randy N says:

They will try to beat us down and shut us up by calling anything we say in support of the constitution hate speech. You will be called racist, fascists’, and accused of every “ism” real, imagined, made up or yet to have been coined. So we need to get louder, and say it more often because of that.

    1. avatar Elmer Fudd says:

“Everyone, you must arm up, expect these people to attempt to destroy your life, the elites want revenge on us.”

That is not free speech. That is a call to insurrection that is based upon a lie.

      1. avatar Ron says:

        No it’s not.

The leftist has said far more violence prone speech ever since 2016, and it was never reported as “a call to insurrection”.

Let’s also look at actual politically driven violent actions:

        Left = 749.

        Right = 2.

        Who’s the more violent faction?

      2. avatar Miner49er says:

Correct, we’ve heard it a-plenty and we’ll be hearing it more as the snowflakes whine and cry because reality doesn’t seem to match their treasured delusions.

        2. avatar Brad in Indiana says:

wrong again ! The snow flakes screamed at the sky in 2016 ! The snow flakes voted for Biden because President Trump is a meanie . Conservatives are not the snow flakes . But you seem to lack the ability to understand even the simplest of concepts. Mindless sheeple following the will of the chairman . You must have goverment backing because average Chinese national can’t access web sites like this .

      3. avatar Ralph says:

“That is a call to insurrection”

        And I’m okay with that.

When the government violates the people’s rights, insurrection is the most sacred of rights and the most indispensable of duties.

        1. avatar Geoff "I'm getting too old for this shit" PR says:

My state voted for the POTUS 60% to biden 40%. On the other hand…The stench of democCarp surrounds the national results. The stench was put there by the non stop concocted slander and libel over the past 4 years from democRats. They have lost all trust and credibility and are not to be trusted further than one can spit.
Make no mistake about it Jim Crow Gun Control joe is a racist and the evidence to prove it is overwhelming. But like his laughing dog running mate who called joe out for his racism in the Rat debates all that racism was given a quick pass when the ho was asked to be the biden running mate.
The democRat slime is thick and sticky and smelly but when push comes to shove democRats lick it up. What Filth.

If people can walk around with strap on dildos, well fitted for public attire. Or women can walk around with large sagging exposed breasts. Or people can wave hammer and sickle flags. Then there is nothing wrong or immoral about college republicans writing calling for people to arm themselves.

    1. avatar Prndll says:

It’s all parts of society eating itself. Self destructive ripping itself apart because there are no adults allowed to be in the room.

We may not be anywhere near losing the country but the entire American society is going absolutely nuts in frustration as a direct result of what Wahington and various elected leaders across the country are doing. Primarily the Democrats. But the linguini spined republicans just do not seem to ever have the nads to fight back against this onslaught of madness. That’s what so many people like about Trump.

      1. avatar Southern Cross says:

The GOP is still waiting for news on the new tangled telegraph.

        1. avatar LazrBeam says:

We’re way beyond that and are awaiting the investigations on Project Hammer and Operation Scorecard.

    2. avatar The Crimson Pirate says:

All those things you just listed are wrong and should result in police intervening. Bust’n heads as needed, making many arrests.

That includes the armed insurrectionist crap those college Repubs were promoting with their Tweet.

      1. avatar LazrBeam says:

It doesn’t appear to be “armed insurrectionist crap” to me. It is clearly a call to be prepared for self-defense, Numbnuts.

      2. avatar Chris T in KY says:

        To Crimson pirate
You don’t get to make Society feel comfortable with the things I listed. Sexual promiscuity in the Public Square. People committing sexual acts in public. During large organized events such as Pride parades.

You don’t get to say that’s all okay and then say it’s wrong to open carry guns. You are not going to replace the 400-year history of law-abiding citizens openly carrying guns. Or having guns in their home.

And replace the Second Amendment with sexual perversions.

        Btw
It’s a First Amendment right for someone to walk around waving a hammer and sickle flag. Thanks for out of yourself as an anti civil rights Pig. I personally want the Communists to come out of the closet.

    Arm Up — Don’t Shoot!

Wait — did I just mix up the slogans? Damn, it’s hard to keep track of them these days.

  19. It will be interesting, if, when Biden/Harris are in office, they still refer to the riots, burning and looting as ” peaceful protests “, or if their rhetoric then changes. And all it is gonna take is for some cop to shoot another Black person who disregards the police officer’s commands to drop the knife/gun, etc ; or someone refusing to comply with an officer for a legit traffic stop, disorderly conduct, suspicious activity, etc.

    Watch and learn, Grasshopper……….

    1. avatar Fredz says:

The only interesting thing will be how long till Brain Dead Joe can’t continue . Will they off him , will they suddenly find him incompetent , or will they prosecute him ? One way or another the DNC will make sure the dumb [email protected]#$ vp ends up in office

If you haven’t donated today to the legal costs to fight Biden stealing the election, please do so NOW, and forward it on!

    https://secure.winred.com/djt/election-defense-fund

And unless you also want Chuck Schumer and the Democrats to have control of the Senate, where they can then add 4 new states/8 NEW Democrat Senate seats and then easily pack the Supreme Court, you need to donate to the joint Georgia candidates fund for saving the U.S. Senate.

    https://secure.winred.com/georgians-for-kelly/perdue-for-senate-defend-the-majority

And please copy this message and spread it around.

    1. avatar Miner49er says:

      And the con continues!

So now the New York city slicker is going to get you to pay for his failed campaign, how clever of him to continue snookering his supporters.

If you read the fine print you will see that half of the money you donate is going to retire his campaign debt:

“50% of each contribution, up to a maximum of $2,800 ($5,000), to be designated toward DJTFP’s 2020 general election account for general election debt retirement until such debt is retired.”

And you may be aware, Trump and family have been raiding his campaign fund, they have misspent almost $1 billion and now they want you to make good on their self-enrichment.

      Y’all has been snookered again!

      1. avatar Prndll says:

        Lol
You might not realize it but campaign funds get spent on campaigns.

        1. avatar Miner49er says:

The solicitation clearly is for funds for the legal defense, but when you read the fine print 50% goes to the campaign.

And what does the campaign do with the money?

“President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign violated the law by masking millions in spending, a nonprofit democracy group alleged in a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday.
The Campaign Legal Center said in the 81-page filing that the president’s reelection campaign and campaign committee hid $170 million in spending to major vendors as well as family members and associates by diverting the money through firms headed by Brad Parscale, who was replaced as campaign manager earlier this month, as well as other senior campaign officials.
The nonprofit alleged that the campaign effectively laundered money in order to hide payments to contractors and advisors, including the maker of a campaign app, as well as Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law, and Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host who is dating the president’s son Donald Trump Jr.”

Tarnation! The New York City conman is just too smart for you rubes.

        2. avatar Miner49er says:

Putty, sometimes campaigns engage in fraudulent schemes to cheat wounded veterans out of the donations they are entitled to:

“In her seven-page ruling, New York Supreme Court Justice Salliann Scarpulla wrote, “Mr. Trump’s fiduciary duty breaches included allowing his campaign to orchestrate the Fundraiser, allowing his campaign, instead of the Foundation, to direct distribution of the Funds, and using the Fundraiser and distribution of the Funds to further Mr. Trump’s political campaign.”

The judge was referring to a Jan. 28, 2016, event Trump held in Des Moines, Iowa, that he’d billed as a fundraiser for veterans. The event was counter-programming for a GOP presidential debate on Fox. Trump was feuding with the network at the time.

The settlement also included an admission from Trump that he personally misused foundation funds and called for mandatory training requirements for the now-defunct foundation’s directors — Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump.”

You know, true American patriots have lost all respect for those who call themselves conservatives.

Either you are aware of the Trump families’ dishonesty and corruption and approve of it.

          Or

You are too stupid to see the facts right before your face.

          I’m guessing both.

      2. avatar bterclinger says:

If you learn anything about guns from here, it should be how to insert one in your mouth, with your lips over your teeth for comfort (you should already know how to do that from your antifa parties), and then be sure to point it up to the rear crown of your skull – don’t point and shoot straight back as if you miss the spine, you might live for days in agony before passing.

Aim up and to the back and you’ll go painlessly, and do the world a huge favor.
