“It’s Kansas in the 1920s. Mary Ellen is the smartest girl in school, and the best shot on Sister Mary’s rifle team. As graduation approaches, she may pursue a life as a scientist or find a Hollywood romance, but a fateful moment in front of the altar will determine her choice. This rich and evocative play emerges on stage for the first time, anywhere, with the Hanover College Theatre.” Note: Adult themes and language, including expressions of sexuality and racism.
