Gunwerks rifle makers –motto 1000 Yards Out of the Box™ — recently held a photo contest. British Columbian hunter Stephen Williams scooped the top prize: a $4k Gunwerks [not currently in stock] RevX Rifle. Gun aside, literally, I’ve got to say that is one freakin’ HUGE elk. Judging by GW’s photo gallery . . .

there are a lot of really freakin’ HUGE horned animals falling to their rifles’ ballistic prowess. And a good thing too when you’re talking about — or to — a Cape Buffalo. #thankgodmygundunwerked

Here are my faves from their online gallery . . .

  1. Some of these comments belong on the Comedy Network. Great sense of humor here sometimes.

To the new bow owner – I wish you luck. I got a second hand compound hunting outfit back in the 70’s and practiced a couple times a week with a bow club. Never did get good enough to even think about hunting with it. Might could have beat an angry rooster with the danged thing. Frustrating experience.

I see little difference between operating a gun and operating a vehicle while drunk or otherwise under the influence. One generally weighs a lot less. However, charging around in a 3 to 6 thousand pound death machine while out of your mind says a lot of things about ones’ sense of responsibility, none of them good. And someone can list “exceptions” all they want. The exceptions should seek the legal route to get those convictions overturned then sue the damned prosecutors. We need to get the gross offenders out of society. I too have to deal with those type of people, and their measure of “smart” is how to offend without getting caught, not how to change their life – around 98% of them.

  2. Julia Reitz should be serving out the sentence that the punk she got off easy should have been serving from the beginning. All other politician, DA, etc. who do
the same thing that she did should also be required to serve the sentence of Thugs that they go soft on, but end up going right back to the life of committing violent crime.

  3. Dana has my support. The NRA not so much. GOA is my go to National fighter. I’d advise all to do as well. Gun Owners of America does not sellout like that other group of seven and six figure income money grabbing turncoats.

  4. And once again, DW puts an ugly stainless barrel bushing on a black duty-coat gun. Why do they keep doing that? Ugh.

However I really like that Vigil CCO. Wonder how much it would cost to have a barrel bushing melonited.

  5. Seen worse performance out of costlier guns. The nice thing about this is you can buy a lot of the parts piecemeal and upgrade where you want, e.g. $150 for a trigger. I have seen people just mount a section of rail on hand guards before, I don’t see it being a huge deal for this one either.

For under 500 a couple spares for the safe isn’t a horrible gamble at all.

  6. From the source article,

“That level of fear and that level of helplessness that you feel, it doesn’t compare to anything else I’ve felt in my life.” — Tim Young

This confirms the claim that FEELINGS are paramount in gun grabbers’ lives. Facts, data, and reasoning did not get through to this person. It took intense FEELINGS to get through.

Unfortunately, we cannot go around staging fake armed robberies of gun-grabbers to convert them to our side. Any other suggestions?
