Fact check: TRUE

Gun control has always been racist, and when they have to hide their racism, they fall back on classism — laws, fees, restrictions, and taxes that limit a constitutionally-protected right to those with sufficient resources.

It’s a confusing meme if you haven’t seen other versions of it and already “get it.” So, for the first time, I’ve gone ahead and googled it for you: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/wait-its-all-ohio-always-has-been

  1. RE: “Gun control has always been racist,”

I agree 110% And it needs to be dealt with accordingly.

    • It has been dealt with. It’s been upgraded from racism to classism. Same evil bastards behind both.

  2. Weapons control started before gun powder. It has never been about crime. It has always been about keeping the wealthy elites safe.

      • Longbow, sword, spear, armor, etc. Not unusual for peasants to have to go to war with farm implements as they would never have a weapon they did not take off a corpse assuming they survived the initial battle.

        • The elites had special hate for projectile weapons that could penetrate armor. Hmm, wonder why?

OT – can’t stop laughing. NY Post headline “DA uses new tool to stop repeat offenders” – read on, found the “new” tool is TRESPASS WARNINGS.

Holy crap. I wondered these hapless blue world businesses could not stop repeats. Never crossed my mind that trespass warnings were a no-no. Silly me.

        • Just assume any “crime prevention” anything out of NYC and most cities here is a repackaged strong warning with absolutely no relevant way of dissuading the criminal but more than a few ways of costing the law abiding. Oh and mixed topic we are doing our level best to deny armor to the citizens (a hopefully go nowhere federal bill too) while AP ammo (by federal definition) is absolutely illegal here in NY.

        • Nother sidebar – did you see the incident where the guy shot a trooper with 44 mag, 6′ range. Failed to penetrate AND the trooper returned fire, w fatal results. Hellacious (advanced?) armor, tough trooper. Dash am, Carolina. iirc. .

        • Wild part is level 3a kevlar has been doing that since at least the 90’s and the newer standards using improved kevlar, uhmwpe, or hybrids of both can do it with even less trauma to the officer now while still being able to stop most 5.7 (solid copper and ap still goes through) and tokarev options that would have sailed through 10-15 years ago. With all that said absolutely tough trooper for overcoming the initial shock and acting.

    • Phrasing.

“You deserve the tyranny you allow.”

Not “You deserve the Tyranny. … You allow it.” The ellipsis indicates that there’s something missing — perhaps the word “because” or “that.” Capitalizing the second “you” indicates a new sentence.

Might I suggest? Strunk & White, “The Elements of Style.”
Chapter II, Rule 6: “Do not break sentences in two.”
Chapter III, Rule 13: “Omit needless words.”

      Linguistic authoritarians, unite!

      • The standardization of (English) spelling and grammar wuz a great leap forward, for Western Civiliztion. In my opinion!

        • “The standardization of (English) spelling and grammar wuz a great leap forward, for Western Civiliztion”

          Shure wuz.

      • Saints of the faith. If our language becomes lost, then all will be lost.

      • Use of ellipsis can also indicate a pause, particularly when the written matter is meant to be spoken or designed to be read as if it was being spoken.

  3. “It’s a confusing meme if you haven’t seen other versions of it…”

    *facepalm*

Is this why TTAG never simply pulls any of the good gun memes from X (formerly Twitter)?

This one’s pretty good, not top tier, but solid AF. Keep that up.

Might I humbly suggest that you pirate memes from FPC or Fenix Ammo if you need to and keep using some of the good ones from Ms. Stevens? (The TV one was excellent, for example.)

  4. BREAKING: Hunter Bidens sweetheart gun plea deal that would have basically given him immunity for any crime (not just for guns) in the past, now, and in the future is finally nuked and determined invalid. (note: for those that do not know, even though the judge questioned it and did not accept it, and it was ‘invalidated’ for use in the case, Hunters lawyers were claiming the deal was still valid because it had been signed by the government … but it turns out that’s not true.)

    • Here in the backwoods children of “elites” busted for egregious stuff often claim they were “working undercover”.

Been waiting that one from the Hidens…

“Just trying to infiltrate Chinese military intelligence. naturally it is all classified…”

      • well given that the congressional committee now has recorded phone conversations and (supposedly video) of Joe Biden stumping for payment for his influence in Hunters business deals, and the bank records showing payments, and the bank accounts, and the witnesses, and a whole lot more … and the evidence showing the FBI lied too…. its probably not an undercover thing.

        • The Puppet and Hillary are everything they told us Trump was. Who is more likely to use their government position to make money on the side? A private sector billionaire or lifelong useless politicians?

        • “recorded phone conversations and (supposedly video) of Joe Biden“

And yet, strangely it is Donald Trump who has multiple felony indictments…

        • There isn’t anything strange about that if you’ve been halfway paying attention in the past 7 years.

        • I guess you are right, after reading the indictments it’s clear there have been shenanigans with Trump and his co-conspirators for several years so it’s not surprising he has almost 100 felony indictments in four separate jurisdictions.

        • Miner is a disingenuous person who only cares about his tribe getting wins over the opposing tribe. People who cheer on tyranny (as long as it’s Democrats) don’t care about justice or equal treatment.

Imagine spending every day of your life being disingenuous. What kind of person would want to live like that?

        • Just remember, miner, you fascists are making the same mistake you made 80 years ago. You have not won the war and you insist on committing the crimes as if there will be no Nuremberg.

          There will.

        • “…after reading the indictments it’s clear…”

An indictment is proof of a crime? It’s proof of guilt?

Liar69er, ever hear of “due process?” “Innocent until proven guilty?” “Trial by a jury of one’s peers?”

Quaint concepts that are apparently beyond your comprehension.
Or, apparently, you would deny these rights to someone accused of a crime if you disagree with their politics or personality.

A popular quote comes to mind:

“Show me the man, and I’ll show you his crime.”

        • Man. miner is the modern reincarnation of roland freisler. hitlers pet judge. A real piece of work, those two.

        • You might enjoy reading about Kathy Latham, GOP chairwoman in coffee County. You may enjoy watching the video evidence of her illegally opening up the county election tabulating and voting machines to Donald Trump‘s operatives.

Unlike your claims about Joe and Hunter Biden, there is actual video and computer forensic evidence showing their intentional unlawful breach of the voting machines, and in the process committing multiple felonies.

I found her selfie with the Trump operatives especially thrilling.

Of course, with the conservatives, tampering with voting machines is A-OK, as long as it is to advance their political leaders.

Here’s your opportunity to denounce their unlawful accessing and tampering with the voting machines in coffee County, I await your reply…

        • “But then, just a day after the Jan. 6 insurrection on the U.S. Capitol, security video showed Latham outside the Coffee County Elections Office opening the door to a secure area and leading in a team of investigators linked to election denier Sidney Powell.

There, those techs allegedly illegally downloaded data from the Dominion voting machines as Latham and others looked on.

After being declared a possible target for criminal investigation, Latham later joined Trump in a motion to toss out the special purpose grand jury’s investigation and bar Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from prosecuting the case.“

Their Motion to end the special purpose Grand jury investigation is a perfect example of lawfare.

Fortunately, the appeals court kicked their shit to the curb, looks like we are going to have those Nuremberg trials very soon and bring those Trump co-conspirators to the bar of justice.

        • “Here’s your opportunity to denounce their unlawful accessing and tampering with the voting machines in coffee County, I await your reply…”

Liar69er, has anyone been found guilty in a court of law?

“But then, just a day after the Jan. 6 insurrection on the U.S. Capitol …”

Stopped reading right there. False premise, Liar69er.

        • Your continued denial of reality is the very definition of a ‘cult’.

False premise? You don’t seem to realize, that isn’t some speculative argument based on premises.

          That is factual news reporting.

Trump and his co-conspirators tampered with voting and tabulating machines, in violation of multiple laws and there is video evidence to prove it.

‘There are none so blind as those who will not see’

        • Yep, we have found the election fraudsters and they are the Republican leadership:

“I am the under 80,000 Caucus Chair for the Georgia GOP. I’m over 129 rural counties of Georgia. I’m also the chair for the Republican Party for Coffee County,” Latham testified.”

Watch the video for yourself, you may feel a small sting at first… That will be your pride leaving you.

          https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/who-is-cathy-latham-former-coffee-county-gop-chair-indicted-election-interference-case/2EBHXAMG7VB7LCH2DI4JV62VNE/?outputType=amp

        • “False premise? You don’t seem to realize, that isn’t some speculative argument based on premises.”

Liar69er, there was no insurrection on J6. There’s your false premise.

“Your continued denial of reality is the very definition of a ‘cult’.
          That is factual news reporting.”

Liar69er, has anyone been found guilty in a court of law?

There are facts and there is reality — and then again, there are your facts which aren’t reality, Liar69er.

        • Remember Man, it’s always Opposite Day in leftist land.

As for me, I’m going to go pick some elderberries for a pie. I find it’s more fruitful and fulfilling to involve actual fruit whenever discussing issues with miner. 1-2 days after a rain is the ticket, renders them plump and juicy.

        • Miner49er., as long as you can screech TRUMMMMMMPPP! who is not the president to try to side track a subject you’d post anything to distract from the fact that a sitting president of the United States, Joe Biden, sold out the country to the Chinese and other foreign interests, has lied more then 400 times straight to the American public, and seeks to do away with constitutional rights (yes, all of them not just the 2A), and weaponized the government against ALL of the American people, while he is in office.

So you go ahead with your wet dream screeching of TRUMPPPPPPPPP! and your out of context interjection into a discussion to purposely disrupt it.

        • “Liar69er, there was no insurrection on J6. There’s your false premise“

Not my premise, just the reporting from a local news agency.

And stop the intentional distraction, you’ve made no reply to the video showing GOP political leadership unlawfully working with Donald Trump’s co-conspirators to tamper with voting and tabulation machines in Georgia.

That’s why Donald Trump and the others were indicted, so that we would have the opportunity in open court to hear the witness testimony and examine the evidence to determine exactly what happened.

Of course, it’s always easy to tell the guilty party, they are the ones who try to stop the court proceedings and end the investigation before the public ever has a chance to actually examine the facts.

And those aren’t my facts or your facts.

It is reality, who are you going to believe Donald Trump or your lying eyes watching the actual video…

        • “Not my premise, just the reporting from a local news agency.”

You presented it in your screed, Liar. The “local news agency” is promulgating a falsehood in the first line of their story — there’s no need to read any further. When the first statement is a lie, anything said in the remaining discussion is suspect.

“And stop the intentional distraction, you’ve made no reply to the video …”

Fuck you, Liar — you’ve made no attempt to stay on topic. Talk about “intentional distraction” — that’s your stock in trade, Liar69er.

“Of course, it’s always easy to tell the guilty party …”

Liar69er, has anyone been found guilty in a court of law?

        • “Liar69er, has anyone been found guilty in a court of law?“

I am happy to provide you some information on your query:

“Trump allies have amassed nearly 30 years in prison sentences
Eleven Trump allies have been convicted or pleaded guilty to various offenses. He’s shaved nearly 11 years off their sentences with pardons.

          Analysis by Aaron Blake

          https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/10/21/bannon-trump-allies-sentences-pardons/

Of course, that’s not considering the latest indictments, almost 100 charges just for Donald Trump.

Don’t worry, I’ll keep you updated on the latest convictions and guilty pleas as they occur.

      • Liar69er, has anyone been found guilty in a court of law?

“I am happy to provide you some information on your query:”

        Context, Liar69er.

        “…after reading the indictments it’s clear…”

An indictment is not proof of a crime. It’s not proof of guilt.

Liar69er, ever hear of “due process?” “Innocent until proven guilty?” “Trial by a jury of one’s peers?”

Get back to me after there’s a conviction, Liar.

        • No insurrection?

          “in·sur·rec·tion
          /ˌinsəˈrekSH(ə)n/
          noun
a violent uprising against an authority or government”

“Seditious conspiracy is a rare charge that dates to the early days of the American Civil War. The law defines seditious conspiracy as plotting to use force to overthrow the U.S. government, oppose its authority or “prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States.”

“In two earlier cases, juries convicted Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and a top lieutenant of seditious conspiracy in November and found four other members of the anti-government militia guilty of the charge in January. They have yet to be sentenced.
In all, 14 members of the Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys have been convicted or pleaded guilty to seditious conspiracy, a charge that carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

The group caught national attention when Trump declared during a September 2020 presidential debate: “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by!”

          https://www.voanews.com/amp/jury-convicts-proud-boys-members-of-seditious-conspiracy-in-us-capitol-attack/7078870.html

There you have it, 14 already convicted of “plotting to use force to overthrow the US government”, The very definition of an ‘insurrection’.

Nuremberg 2.0 is in progress, stay tuned for further convictions.

And the hits just keep coming!

        • From your link:

“Exclusive: FBI finds scant evidence U.S. Capitol attack was coordinated – sources
By Mark Hosenball and Sarah N. Lynch
August 20, 202110:43 PM EDTUpdated 2 years ago“

That was 2 years ago, since then federal authorities have had much time to investigate the crimes committed on January 6, including the United States Congress’ January 6 investigation that brought forth testimony from the Trump administration officials confirming the depth of their treason.

You may have missed the extensive televised coverage of the January 6 investigative committee hearings, I don’t believe they were aired on Russian RT state-controlled media.

Citing 2 year old news articles is lame, you probably should avail yourself of more recent reporting if you don’t want to appear an uneducated Trump voter.

    • Its spam. It says, from a translator app persian to english…

“To do a pleasant supermarket shopping in the summer heat, you just need to buy from home with Snap Express discount code. Get a mild discount from the website … ” etc…

can you guys at TTAG get rid of this? This spammer has posted in different comment sections over time and now here.

  5. Remember, everyone: President Trump lives rent-free inside of Liar69er’s head

    — because there’s plenty of room.

    • “President Trump lives rent-free inside of Liar69er’s head“

I’m not the only one thinking about Donald Trump’s attempted coup:

“Majority says Trump should be prosecuted on charges linked to 2020 election: survey

A majority of Americans says former President Trump should be prosecuted on federal criminal charges related to his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, according to a survey published Wednesday.
The national Quinnipiac University poll showed 54 percent of Americans said Trump should be face federal criminal charges, while 42 percent said he should not be prosecuted for those alleged crimes.
Independent voters, notably, said they support prosecuting Trump for the alleged federal crimes in question by 20 points: 57 percent said they support, and 37 percent said they do not”

      • A poll?

Well, that’s convincing. It’s a good thing that we run the legal system by poll.

        • I never asserted “the legal system was run by poll”.

          You claimed:

“President Trump lives rent-free inside of Liar69er’s head“

          I responded:
