They typically are bigger than the gun they are carrying. Which makes no sense to me, I lug a Glock 19 around AIWB all day everyday, WITH a gut, in Texas heat/humidity, and have no problem with a single clip, high quality leather holster. (Or the Galco kydex one I changed it out for last night just to try it out again.) To each their own I suppose. Reply By “hybrid holster” you mean a combination of leather/fake leather and Kydex? I’ve never heard the term. The point of a holster like this, though, is to spread both the bulge and the weight/downward tug of the weapon and holster as much as possible. And it works quite well.
