This picture highlights my problem with hybrid holsters.
They typically are bigger than the gun they are carrying. Which makes no sense to me,
I lug a Glock 19 around AIWB all day everyday, WITH a gut, in Texas heat/humidity, and have no problem with a single clip, high quality leather holster. (Or the Galco kydex one I changed it out for last night just to try it out again.)
To each their own I suppose.
By “hybrid holster” you mean a combination of leather/fake leather and Kydex? I’ve never heard the term.
The point of a holster like this, though, is to spread both the bulge and the weight/downward tug of the weapon and holster as much as possible. And it works quite well. I’ve used the single clip Kydex IWB, and my Cloak Tuck 2.0 is more comfortable and more concealable despite the larger size.
