If you live in southeast Texas, breathe easy. You don’t have to worry about the security of your Cheerios or Lucky Charms any more. “After striking again early Sunday morning, a Beaumont serial robber has finally been caught, but not before he targeted a victim who fought back.” Or so says setxhomepage.com. “Police say (Scott Allen) Willis, along with the help of 22-year-old Malik Washington and 21-year-old Ariel Malveaux, first abducted a woman in the 200 block of Village Creek Parkway. They drove her to an ATM and made her withdraw money before releasing her. Then they attempted to rob two women at their home in the 100 block of Dennis Drive.” . . .

Seems like the three yoots decided to target women, probably figuring they’d be weaker, more passive and compliant. Seems like Willis is a suspect in several other robberies of women in the areas. Seems like the trio also forgot they were operating in Texas.

(O)ne of the women had the chance to grab a handgun from inside the home and shoot Willis in the abdomen. Willis, Washington, and Malveaux were arrested later at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. Police say the woman acted bravely in self-defense, and want to warn criminals that a county or city line won’t stop police from coming after them.

Apparently neither will laws prohibiting kidnapping or robbery. Which is kinda the point of having the gun in the first place, no?

  1. Yesterday, Obama’s speech on gun control was led by an introduction by the mother of one of the Newtown incident’s victims. She said-paraphrasing-

“Americans should stand with us, before you become a victim of gun violence”.

In my minds eye right as she said it:

“Lady, ‘I’ won’t be a victim of anything. I have a gun, and know how to use it.The criminal bastard who kicks in my door is a different story.”

    • Translation, we have been deeply hurt & we want everyone to suffer as we do, Randy

      • We are grieving the death of our child and the government is using us political pawns… yet they will raise our taxes as well as yours when its all done.

  2. I can’t imagine what is a bigger deterrent to the criminal element: getting locked up with their pals for a few months, or a bullet in their gut!

    • I’m going with Choice 2, Bob. What Mas Ayoob calls a “fatal flaw in the victim selection process.”

    • Thank God Scott Willis Jr received 2 life sentences in Hardin County, and a 70 year sentence in Jefferson. And he got shot in the gut!

  3. I want a door mat that reads, “You are either invited in or carried out.”

I am simply not willing to put the safety of my loved ones in the hands of someone else. Apparently these people have no problems with that.

    • I never understood that either – why would I want to trust my safety to someone I’ve never met? I’m with me all the time, and I trust myself. I also trust my Glock. Heck, if I pull the trigger 10 times, I get 10 shots. If a politician gives 10 promises, how many of those work out?

    • The sheeple mindset is that we live in 2013 and have iPads, so self defense is an obsolete relic of the 1800s.

That mistake has cost many good people their lives at the hands of violent scumbags.

      • Trayvon Martin-luther-kings like to steal ipads too, and they have a “knockout game” where they play by punching people in the back of the head and taking bets on the victim being knocked out or dying.

        • Bob. Dude. I grew up a chip shot from where the Wu Tang clan did their first lines, and being somewhat of a loner and not of a particularly physically imposing nature, I was accosted many a time in my youth. I also often kept the company of others who shared my fate. My personal understanding, and the understanding of many in my particular boat, is that abusers span the rainbow. They share nothing in common but their propensity to be abusers of others, rather than live and let other people live (like it’s so f%#@in’ hard.) Sure you may see a trend in some areas, but that is due to demographics both naturally occurring and artificially created and not that any one superficially defined group is more or less prone to criminal behavior.

The simple and scary fact is that many bad people cannot be detected by any superficial means. That I think is what scares many people into hating some sort of “other” whether racial, sexual, whatever. You have to think, and know how to think, and know how to really assess people, and even then you’re still never sure. So some people shove that into a tight, sick little mental cubby called “racism” or “sexism” or what have you so they can feel better about not knowing who to trust. I have to tell you, it equally sucks getting jumped by white trash and by black trash. Picking one and going after it undermines our cause.

    • Funny. Mine says, “COME BACK WITH A WARRANT”. Not in my imagination – ACTUALLY.

    • I’m happy having the police available, so I can call for backup.

I, however, am the first responder.

  4. The mindset of the gun-grabbers is “We don’t want justice. We want VENGEANCE! And gun owners are the ones who will suffer!”

But I can see the US gun owners have seen what has happened in other countries and are united in saying “it wasn’t me so why should I be punished for what (insert name here) did”.

Justice is when you punish the guilty. Tyranny is when you punish the innocent. I haven’t seen much justice with this issue in the last 25 years.
