23-year-old Tafari ‘Little Joe’ Mitchell and David ‘Fref-Fref’ Waugh, both of Sevens Road in the parish. Waugh was out on bail after being arrested on larceny charges.   1. God, just reading about Jamaica’s efforts to deal with armed violence is disgusting. A separate court for gun offenses, which can, at its option, conduct in camera, no jury trials! Registration, expensive licenses, the whole bit.

    And Jamaica is even more violent than ever. Just give everyone guns, the crooks will thin out pretty quick.

  2. For 6K a year, I would not be happy with waiting around for a perp to give me an excuse to use my CCW permit. I’m afraid I would have to go hunt some perp’s!

  3. Before you guys all go ballistic about the cost of a Firearm Permit in Jamaica, note that one US$ is worth about J$111. This means that the permit costs about US$53 per year.
