But you would have found Ms. Gal hanging with the Brady Bunch at The Beverly Hills Hotel Tuesday night “celebrating advocates and visionaries working to prevent gun violence,” along with CNN chat show host Piers Morgan. Morgan made the scene to accept his Brady Center Advocate Award for “browbeating, belittling and bedeviling Americans who cherish their civil, human and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms” [paraphrasing]. Morgan was overheard complaining about the quality of the champagne. True story.
Seriously, why is TTAG talking about this guy? He has the right to free speech. Ignore him and his power goes away.

You’re actually quite wrong on that point. Our constitutionally protected rights are in fact extended to legal non-citizens who reside in our country. I’m not entirely certain which types of visas allow for this, but I’m positive that Mr. Morgan’s falls into that category (it has been discussed on this site before, back in January or February, I believe)What is particularly interesting about it is that the SAF played a major role in making that happen. So, yes, Mr. Morgan enjoys the same first amendment rights that we do, thanks to the efforts of gun-rights supporters.
As a green card holder, I am allowed to fill out and pass 4473s. I have taken full advantage of it. I can even get social security benefits. The only thing I can’t do is vote, and appear on reality shows (which usually require U.S. citizenship).
Hell, we all are foreigners. The only true Americans are the Native Americans. We came to this country.

The right to free speech is a natural right that all people have not just American citizens. Whether other governments allow their citizens to exercise that right is another story. Piers has a right to shame gun owners just as gun owners have a right to shame him right back as they should. When you argue that he’s not sn American so he doesn’t have these rights you use the logic the anti’s use in saying that the US government granted you rights(including gun rights) so we have the right to take them away.

These pundits do not care about the truth. The problem in dealing with sociopaths is that you assume that they are using a similar version of your frame of reference. They don’t.
