EDC GLOCK 43 Everydaycarry.com Pocket Dump EDC

I carry a GLOCK 43 and love it. But 3Prcntr says he packed one when he ventured out into Big Sky Country recently to capture some backwoods images of rivers rushing with snow melt. While any gun is better than none at all, I’m not sure the G43 would be the pistol I’d pack into bear county. You?

    • I am the owner of this carry. I never went out in the woods. I carry 10mm and bear spray for those situations. This was just a simple drive and park. The story is misleading as many are on this website.

  1. I did work for the state a few years ago and was in some areas with bears on a regular basis. Locals told me to take a 12 gauge with slugs.
    I did.

  2. this is getting fucking stupid. a goddamn tri-pod is not part of your pocket EDC carry. i guess lets all just throw all kinds of random bullshit on there and say we carry it every day.

    • I believe he said he carried this when he went out to take photos. EDC is not a literal term ,guys adapt it to many daily uses, you’ll see “ my week end carry” “, my woods carry”, “my vacation carry .”

Reminds me of a letter a guy wrote to Combat Handguns years ago, he was complaining that they did a piece on a long gun …..

    • This website takes photos from another EDC website. I carried the tripod in the pack that is clearly in the fucken picture, slung around my back. It was a drive up to the north fork and parking on the side of the roads/fishing areas. I have a 10mm in the truck. You clearly do not live out here, and are a keyboard commando. Chill the fuck out.

  3. I would think a 9mm with the proper projectiles would be sufficient. The one shot stops from this caliber against two hundred pound plus human advisories are well documented.

  4. Depends on where “Bear Country” is. I’d carry it where I live, which is Black Bear country. I doubt I’d even need to draw. I don’t think I’d carry it in Grizzly country though.

    • Website is misleading. Never went venturing into their territory. I have a 10mm and an AR for that.

  5. Carry what you want. If you don’t carry the most proven bear deterrent you can you are a fool. I live in Griz and Blackies country. I carry what I need to put down a horse and that is it. Please; carry Griz. power pepper spray. Accurate to 30 ft w/out a scope! Sub MOA! The local outfitters that HUNT bear carry spray, and will not let the DUDE even think about shooting at a bear. Griz Research Center approved is best.

  6. PS Do Not store on the dash of your truck! The local USFS office had to scrap a newish truck when the can overheated and exploded. Stuff Will Not come out.

  7. If I knew I was going into big bear country I would buy a new Ruger .44 magnum and load it with hard cast flat tip bullets. Shotguns and rifles are grand. But you may have your hands occupied with some other chore just when murphy steps in.

I can get a revolver out of its holster faster than I can unsling a long gun or retrieve it from the tree it’s leaning against.

I would carry bear spray. Need something to season the bear with after you got it on the fire.

    • Again. All you badass wannabe Rambos show your basic miss- understanding of bear anatomy. The skull of a charging bear is the hardest spot on a bear. Even .44 mag will bounce. Pepper spray works on bears as on people. temp. blindness difficulty breathing etc. A misplaced bullet will almost always end in a mauling. PS DON’T spray on tents, gear or clothing. Pepper IS a food item and will attract bears.

      • Yes, dave. We get it. The bear is more important to you than the people. Never claimed to be a hollywood hero. But I’ve been shot at and returned the favor. Bears are lightweights compared to the man animal.

I appreciate your input, but maybe chill out a bit.

Yes, same could be said to the one you commented towards, who is clearly a keyboard commando and has trolled this websites comment section since it’s birth.

        😉

  8. I carry a large can of UDAP bear spray and a Glock 20SF( loaded with 200gr DoubleTap hard cast rounds) in a Hill People Gear kit bag.
